Ferrycarrig remains a beguiling experience. A packed early breakfast at 6:50am was an unexpected option on our final morning, and I used the swimming pool during our third visit! Good to notice some evidence of option(s) for festival opera visitors though a fuller picture only became clear very late in the day.

The room was dark - not great for those who'd like to preserve their eyesight while visiting a book reading land? - but we contrived a workaround, and got more used to it. Our price was 35% more than last year (but some options may possibly have disappeared when I booked 5-6 months ago)?

- The front desk staff made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived and were very helpful throughout our stay. - We were impressed with the spacious room and the amazing views over the river! - We had dinner in the bar both nights, and really enjoyed both the food and the atmosphere. - We also loved having access to the leisure centre jacuzzi and sauna after a long, wet day of walking. - Great breakfast in a beautiful setting, with amazing views of the sun rise.

Our room was right above the leisure centre and we were woken up at 7.30am by thumping music one morning! That said, we called down to the front desk and it was sorted out very quickly.

Everything was superb; the staff; the food; the facilities and hotel ambiance; best hotel i have stayed in for a long time and super value We loved the curries from India that the chef made; clearly made by an expert and so unusual to be able to buy in a hotel-lovely naan bread and an excellent waiter from India who explained food form Kerala; Excellent waitresses in restaurant, Holly and young woman from Australia-very polite well mannered and professional This hotel also offers super value for money and is clearly a hotel that takes great care to train its staff and provide an overall inclusive and comfortable experience

Nothing-it was a superb all round experience

Breakfast I’m gluten free and would like more choice. Room was nice, love bathroom. The dinner food isn’t wow, it’s ok, other people I spoke with said the same. And it could be served past 8.45, was earliest hotel ever. Also no entertainment on thur but had it on wed very odd. And I asked for quiet room however the noise from the gym is like being at a rave, it started at 7am on Fri morning was unbelievable loud and the bass was like an earthquake. They were also delivering from 6am so the banging of doors etc was u real

The noise from gym was unacceptable The shower gel in pool not very nice.

Very accessible from all directions. Close proximity to Wexford town which was a lovely town to visit. The staff were polite and very accommodating at all times. When we were leaving a young employee offered to carry out luggage to the front desk as the lift is not in operation at the moment. The griffin group are lucky to have an employee such as that young man who thought proactively. I’m only sorry I didn’t get his name so that I could contact the hotel group owners directly and compliment him.

That the lift was out of order and therefore room service was not an option (my husband is convalescing after an operation therefore lack of lift and room service was a little difficult. The hotel did relocate us to the ground floor however we still had to climb a flight to the hotel lobby.

Room I stayed in was on hotel entrance level. The staff were extremely kind and helpful. Bed, pillows and shower were lovely in the room. Hand soap, shampoo and shower gel provided smelled wonderful. Shower had great water pressure and was lovely and hot.

Room was warm even with window open. Carrying bags up/ down multiple steps from car park unless you are lucky to get space on same level as hotel entrance. Tv stations kept freezing. As I was staying alone, my room was near the children’s playground out the back which meant it wasn’t as quiet as I would of liked. Bath towels felt a bit rough, could of been a bit softer.

Breakfast was exceptional so much variety and all so tasty! The breakfast restaurant itself is stunning. Met a lovely staff member I think her name is Iona (Ukrainian) who was soo lovely, brilliant service and great with my baby too! Big thanks!

Although everything was amazing the only thing I’d say is The bar area where we got dinner was missing atmosphere.. a bit of music and a bit more friendliness/happiness from the staff wouldn’t have gone a stray but still good service

We had to leave early in the morning to catch the ferry, so hadn't booked breakfast, but the room was adequate and the bed comfortable. We arrived later than planned and it was dark on arrival and left early, so didn't see the hotel in day-light, but our room had a small balcony which overlooked the river. We did use the leisure facilities (pool) which were open until late, although the changing rooms were being modified and temporary arrangements were in place. We did book an evening meal and this was exceptional - fine dining without being nouvelle cuisine.

Not a great deal - the toilet seat was a little loose. Our room was quite a walk from reception, but the lift served the rooms and facilities well.

Lovely location but need a car to get there. The staff were great & the casual restaurant was convenient & value for money. Our room was large for a hotel room.

Our room temperature was too hot & as the temperature is centrally regulated we couldn’t do anything about it. There was even a notice in the room explaining this. The hotel is very nice but parts of it are getting a little shabby & tired, for example threadbare carpet & torn curtains.

Room was clean, baby cot was provided for free. The room service was excellent and breakfast also. Lovely bathroom. Water, tea and coffee provided. Active suite staff were lovely and made us feel welcome and confident taking our baby to the pool. Reception girls also very nice.

The hallways were quite narrow and we were often struggling to pass by the cleaners trolleys with the baby stroller. The view also wasn’t so great from our room. Waiter at the dry rock bar was quite rude.
