My rooms conveniently located on the ground floor, was spacious and light and had a very nice en suite. The door lock stuck a bit and could do with some attention but, other than that, it was just right. I went into the restaurant and had a really nice meal. The staff were friendly and helpful and the meal was very nice indeed.
I had to leave at 7 a.m. to get the early ferry, so some sort of breakfast would have been nice. As the hotel is so conveniently located for Rosslare, I would have thought it very popular with ferry passengers. Just a breakfast package with a couple of croissants, butter pats and small pot of jam would have been very welcome. Tea and coffee are available in the room so that is all that would be required and could be picked up at reception the evening before.

What made my stay at the Farmers Kitchen was the courtesy, professionalism and above all friendliness of the staff who could simply not do enough for you. Every day and with every request I was greeted with a smile from the staff on Reception to the barman and serving staff in the restaurant. Although this trip was for work I liked the hotel so much that I am returning next June with a group of friends. What an amazing hotel and certainly far better than I had expected. The hotel truly made my visit to Ireland worthwhile.
I had no complaints about anything.

The Farmers Kitchen is a lovely hotel with a relaxed feel & a good welcome.. Staff are friendly & efficient . They make sure that your stay is enjoyable. Rooms were clean & well maintained with comfortable beds. Delicious breakfast was served to your table no need to queue. We also enjoyed a delicious dinner one evening in the hotel. Good car parking space. Really enjoyed our stay.
Only a small area in the lobby with comfortable chairs to relax with a drink. In one of the bathrooms, the floor was slippy. But the receptionist got our friends another room with non-slip tiles so much appreciated.

We really enjoyed our stay at The Farmer's Kitchen. The hotel itself is lovely and the staff were welcoming. Our room was very clean and a good size. The breakfast was extremely tasty and we ate dinner in the restaurant which I would highly recommend (we had the steak and the crispy chicken and they were both delicious...the chef here does a top job). Also those who were working in the restaurant, at both breakfast and dinner, were helpful and friendly and also very cheerful, which was great. The location is perfect for driving around County Wexford and close to Johnstown Castle and the Irish Agricultural Museum. I would highly recommend a stay in The Farmer's Kitchen as it provides a really clean and comfortable room and a great breakfast and dinner.
All was good for us.

Really brilliant staff at the Farmer's Kitchen, particularly Noemi on the reception desk, who was super efficient in ensuring we got a table for dinner in the restaurant both nights we stayed and ensured we were able to get an early breakfast bang on 7am so we could be in time (just) for our ferry from Rosslare. Service for breakfast was spot-on. Hotel is very handy for Rosslare port and family rooms make it a good place for a stopover with kids if you don't want to pay for two rooms.
All good. You can hear traffic from the road but that's inevitable and it's the hotel's accessibility that's important. It's off the main road out of Rosslare harbour, though, so traffic wasn't bad at all.

Dinner 1st night was good. I had Prawns tempura but batter was very thick. Tempura batter is normally very light and Crispy. The pawns were lovely but I removed the batter and did not eat it. 2nd night was excellent I had a delicious chicken curry.
Carpet in room 14 is very marked and scuffed. Looks dirty, could do with being changed Bathroom door jams inside very marked Walking through the function room to room, the cooking smells were very overpowering, opening a few windows to leave in fresh air would hel

The welcome at reception was wonderful. The room spotless and facilities such as tea and coffee great. We were also pleasantly surprised that there were additional towels, fan and blankets available should we need them. The restaurant food both evening and breakfast were great. The bonus at breakfast was a really helpful table service - a rarity these days. All staff were very helpful.-- this is a rare gem and a wonderful find we will definitely stay again and have already recommended to friends and family.
Nothing - it was terrific - 3 stars doesn't do this hotel justice

Great location, very simple to get into the town, ample parking. Lovely food, and breakfast. Beds comfortable. Lovely staff.
Was in a family room (31) as sharing with two friends. I found the room very comfortable, but the facilities require updating. The inside of the kettle looked quite worn, feel it should be updated. Also the phone in the room dated any renovations that may have been undertaken to modernise, we had the same land line phone back in the 1990s. The carpet was stained in places, not unusual in a family room, but still took note of it. And to be very picky I didn't like the fact that the key to the room, was not a key card, but a key on a large key chain.

Excellent breakfast with a good range of options.
Perhaps it was my fault, but Booking.com listed the property under a search for Rosslare which was inaccurate, as the property is in Wexford. (I had to make the reservation on the fly after my ferry was cancelled and I’d lost my hotel booking in Wales.) It cost me almost two hours from backtracking after waiting for the next train at the end of the line. Will check next time I reserve a place to see how close it actually is to the town Booking.com lists it as close to.

Loved this hotel This was the first hotel of our 6 night stay in irelqnd and upon arrival the staff ensured we had food upon arrival even though the restaurant had just closed. Card and chocolates were in the room for my partners birthday which was a lovely touch Food (dinner and breakfast) was absolutely amazing. All staff were absolutely amazing and the room was lovely. I find it hard to believe this is a 3 star hotel and would hqve definitely rated it a 4 Thankyoy all so much for a wonderful stay
