Lovely big bedroom, the location was great, just a few minutes from Piazzale Roma. Romano and his family were very friendly and helpful. They couldn’t do enough to help us. Romano gave us a lot of useful information about Venice, what to see and how to get around.

The bathroom was outside the bedroom which is not ideal, especially at night, with an old lady and a young child but I guess that’s one of the quirks of Venice. The information on the breakfast menu was not particularly clear but we managed.

Good day. The Ca'Riza is charming, family business hotel, which makes it very cosy and very much guest-friendly. Location is perfect since it is walking distance to all of the interesting things in Venice but at the same time hotel is located at dead-end street making it very quiet even during the busiest time of the day. We had a very charming room at the second floor, with roof constructions exposed on the ceiling making it even more interesting. What is especially worth recommending is the breakfast being prepared from the card, on request from fresh ingredients to everybody's liking - the choice is really wide from light croissant with jam to omelettes and salami with fresh toasts (we could not resist having tiramisu which is also an option ;) Generally speaking our stay with Ca'Riza was simply great; fantastic place, fantastic people running it (always helpful, always smile) and fantastic location. We would highly recommend this place to everybody. Thank you very much for such a lovely stay dear Ca'Riza! Slawek

Love the hospitality from the hosts. A few minutes walk to public water bus dock. Breakfast is a la carte starting from 8am. It workes well for me as I like to walk around Venice at 7am before the crowds decend and then head back for breakfast. Love the home made yoghurt, delicious crostini mix and meat and cheese mix platter. Hosts are very helpful, detailed instructions on how to get there before arrival. On my departure, I wasn't expecting breakfast due to a slightly early train. The hosts made an effort to start breakfast early for me. I was very grateful for that. As a single traveller, I booked a single room with shared bathroom. It is shared with another room. During my stay, there wasn't a moment that I needed toilet or a shower and found it was occupied. The room is serviced daily with bed made and floor cleaned. Lots of restaurants near the property. However the room is very quiet at night. There are lots of details that the hosts have put in to make the place home. Venice is magical and the hosts make it more memorable. Thanks

We had a great experience staying at this hotel. The property is exceptionally clean, and the attention to detail is evident in every corner. The owner is incredibly friendly and welcoming, making us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. As a thoughtful gesture, they brought us some delicious food upon our arrival, which was such a warm and personal touch. The breakfast they serve is absolutely fantastic—fresh, plentiful, and truly a highlight of our stay.

The only minor inconvenience we experienced was that the hot water was not always consistent, occasionally turning cooler during a shower. However, this did not significantly impact our overall positive experience.

Loved that this was a family owned and operated hotel. It is quaint and full of character and the family are lovely. You can tell it is their own business with how they look after the place and their guests. The breakfast included is ordered off a menu so you need to allow time for this. The servings are small which means you can order several different things to have. The tiramisu and yoghurt are made by the family. Both are delicious. I wouldn’t normally have tiramisu with breakfast but I did here and I didn’t just stop at one! It was delicious. The coffee was very good too. I am Australian, and in particular I am from Melbourne where we have a very strong coffee culture. Like all Melbournians, I am picky with my coffee. I usually drink a soy flat white at home. I can’t drink American coffee and I couldn’t drink coffee in the UK. The coffee here was great! I had a cappuccino as I think that is the closest to a latte at home. It doesn’t come with cocoa powder in Italy. It was strong enough, the soy milk was heated perfectly and I didn’t need to add sugar (I only add sugar if the coffee is undrinkable). Location was very good. It is a short walk from the bus station. If you struggle with your bags you can pay for someone with a trolley to take the bags for you. You’ll find them walking around that area. The hotel was walking distance to everything we wanted to see. There are stairs at the hotel so you need to be able to get up and down the stairs. The family will help you with your bags if you need it. They were very helpful. Overall, an excellent stay and I would come back again.

This is a charming “B&B-type” of hotel near the heart of Venice. It was located within an easy walk from Piazzale Roma and many good restaurants and sites are nearby. Davide and his family are exceptional hosts! Note to fellow Americans….this is not a Marriott, so just know this is a lovely and quaint little spot, serving a nice breakfast, with cozy and clean rooms. We loved the family-owned pride and charm of Ca’ Riza and would absolutely stay there again!

Be sure to get directions from your arrival point. It can be a challenge to find it on your first try, but it is truly a very ideal location in Venice.

It was such an authentic little place, a real taste of Venice. If you're looking for something modern and glitzy then it's not for you but I loved it. Didn't have time for breakfast unfortunately as it started at 8 but the dining room looked quaint and they offered us a little cake to take on our way. overall, a lovely experience.

Despite the owner sending us a description of how to get there we had trouble finding the place, its tucked away down a little alley. Think we were tired and had no cell service so couldn't google it. also travel light, we had 3 bridges to navigate with large suitcases, bit of a mission...

This place is was very well-kept, clean and quiet. It was close in proximity ~ 15 minute walk to the train station, so the convenience was good. The staff was so nice and helpful, especially Davide and Romano. They were so kind to me and my family! The complimentary breakfast was such a nice added touch!

I didn’t expect the “private” bathroom to be completely separate from the bedroom. I was visiting from the US, so I’m not familiar if this is normal for places to stay in Europe. We were given one key, so I would recommend providing at least 2 sets of keys. It was difficult at times to coordinate bathroom visits between me and my family (4 in total). Not too big a deal, but just a recommendation.

The photo is just like the actual room. It has a lot of charm. Stairs are steep and narrow but manageable. The breakfast was made to order with lots of options on the menu.

I usually try to book my hotels near the main sights I want to see. It was harder to do this in Venice just because it’s overrun with tourists. So this spot was about 25 minutes from St Mark’s. One time we walked and one time we took the water taxi. Once we figured out how to buy a ticket that was fairly easy.

Overall family hotel vibe of this place, fantastically friendly and kind hotel owners, easy and very informative communication regarding check in and out procedures, simple but very tasty breakfast (with the best tiramisu I ever tried in Italy - very close to what I do at home). Due to our early morning check out we were given a tasty bag with two sandwiches, two small cakes, two fruits and two juices, which were very safely packed with love to us as tourists. Good location 15 minutes max from the railway station and 8 minutes max from the bus station - this was very convenient to walk upon late arrival and on early departure.

One thing that really needs improvement in my opinion - the mattress on the master bed needs a change. All other issues like small lack of the noise isolation of the room entrance door and lack of empty electric plugs near the bed to use my device charger - are minor and were fully eliminated by the overall family hotel vibe of this place and kindness of the hotel owners.
