Fantastic location. Great hotel and fantastic staff. One if the cleanest hotels I have ever stayed in in the city. The room was good sized and the bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was very big and very clean. Great views from my room and I loved the vibe around the hotel. The library room is a great place to work for a few hours and a very nice atmosphere at the bar in the evening.

Very disappointed to find that the roof terrace does not exist anymore. It was the one reason why I booked this place. Apparently it got shut down four years ago already but is still being advertised on booking. I find this extremely misleading.

The location is excellent for us - close to major Metro lines, various museums, Central Park, and many different eateries. We have stayed here a number of times already, and always appreciate the professional and helpful staff plus the clean and comfortable rooms. Space can be tight, so we opted for an upgrade to give us a bit more elbow room.

The rolling desk chair is tricky on the smooth floor, and unfortunately the only sitting option besides the bed. Also, I'd love more surface space and hooks in the bathroom.

Obviously location. Some great cafés and restaurants in the vicinity. A short walk from Central Park and Riverside Drive.

Front desk staff seemed a bit cranky when we were checking in and out. The room was spacious but there was no window. So don’t be misled by the photos here. I’m pretty sure that even rooms with windows don’t have a view of Manhattan like the one presented here.

We were amazed by the size of our room and loved the view of Broadway. The location was an A+, lots of things to do within walking distance and easy access to the subway.

We found a hair in the bath tub. We had no idea how to access the wi-fi, that info should be available in the room somewhere. The previous occupants left a purse in the room, which should have been easily found by housekeeping.

the elevator situation is awful. I've stayed here multiple times and the elevators are always broken. also, the proximity to the fire station is suboptimal.

Great location; safe, quiet (for NYC), family friendly and near the subway. The beds were really comfortable and the room was large and well maintained. The room and whole hotel were super clean and generally well maintained. There's plenty of places to eat nearby (and a Starbucks) as well as a couple of small supermarkets. The Museum of Natural History is a block or two away. Note that it's a long walk to midtown so be prepared to take the subway there.

The shower was really big but the water pressure was a bit low, it was "fine" but not enough for a really great shower. It could also do with a fridge in the room. There was a coffee machine but only instant creamer - if a fridge was provided we could have bought milk.

I got a free upgrade to a penthouse with a spectacular view and lots of space, which makes my experience atypical, but it was very nice for me. The lobby is warm and inviting, and there's a cafe, which looks very nice. And the staff were wonderful. And it's in one of the best neighborhoods ion the city.

Bluetooth connectivity with the screens/speakers in the room would be nice. So would a mini-fridge. Also, the lighting options were limited. The natural light in the day was fabulous, of course, but at night the options were supermarket bright or too dim to see properly.

Ate breakfast outside- so many great places. Hotel is lovely, great vibe and location - perfect base for staying in Manhattan.

The hotel advertised a rooftop terrace and a pool- neither available. Only two coffee pods in the room- that could certainly have been more generous. Much plastic packaging for the meager tea and coffee- not really appetizing or environmentally friendly. Also, the USB port in the room did not work.

Compared to many hotels in NYC the rooms were larger than normal (still small of course), and like most NY hotels the AC was noisy but necessary. The "Hangout" areas for breakfast and a cold beer after sightseeing were very nice. Best of all was access to #1 line subway running North to South in Manhattan. So navigating by "Street" level and walking East West is a good way to get places and still see things by walking. Definitely a hotel to return to.

We are in New York - people seem to be matter of fact and show little empathy (even if they don't mean to be unfriendly) - this was true of the reception also. In contrast, the room maids were full of smiles and helpful. The breakfast was pastry and coffee, and for a European, the croissant etc were pretty uninteresting. However, it is a handy option and better than looking for breakfast restaurants which provide super-sized portions of everything and are expensive!
