Stunning location, room as on the fotos in the forest. Excellent five star dinner and breakfast. Peaceful atmosphere with 10 rooms. Spacious rooms like small apartment. 100 percent recommended.

Small thing: bathroom needs rejuvenation.

My stay was a thoroughly luxurious, relaxing experience. From the carefully curated interior that was calm, comforting and beautiful, to the wonderful staff and the exceptional meal (dinner and breakfast), which included local specialties prepared with love and care, everything was curated and deliberately chosen. I loved taking a bath in the private onsen in my room, being able to open the sliding doors to the forest just outside the room, where I was completely immersed in nature. The staff took care of all my needs and i felt completely at ease and could reset myself completely. a lovely Yukatan completed the experience.

I have no complaints!

This was, far and above, the best hospitality experience I've ever had. It was like a dream. The room was perfect, every detail elegant and comfortable and just right. The private bath was lovely and the view mesmerizing, keeping me entranced for hours. The food, though, was the true highlight - get the breakfast each day, and at least one dinner. Every piece was stunning, top-quality, like I'd pay hundreds of dollars for at home in "the" big US city which I won't name but you can guess. It was also served on unique, gorgeous porcelain, and it all fit together like a symphony. Truly - the thing, as a whole, was life-changing.

Absolutely nothing could have been better.

We loved our private onsen looking out over the garden and the beautiful tatami room. the room was very private and quiet.

We found the inflexibility about meals and check out rather off putting. The hotel could not accommodate my pescatarian husband despite months of warning and fish being a common menu item in the Alps region. We could only order breakfast on one of our two mornings there- a mystery as to why! This required us to find meals away from the onsen somewhat spoiling the relaxed few days. When we asked for a 10.30 am rather than 10am check out this was denied. It all felt rather rigid. The check in staff were friendly.

Everything about my stay at Mozumo was amazing! Everyone who assisted us was so polite and helpful, even though my husband and I don't speak Japanese, they were still very accommodating by having English speaking staff and using Google translate where needed. The room was very large, the beds were very comfortable, and the hot springs bath was perfect! Getting to soak in the iron-rich water on a cold day after hiking all afternoon was heavenly. If you're on the fence about doing a meal for your stay, trust me, do the shabu shabu! The meal experience was wonderful from start to finish! It was one of the best meals of my trip!

We loved the private onsen. We didn’t have time to explore the public one but the private one was perfect. The scenery and the connected balcony was so peaceful. The rooms were a nice size and the staff was very nice and helpful. The driver who picks you up from the bus station was very nice and friendly too. The TV did allow for you to access your Netflix account which was nice when relaxing before bed.

We were unable to take advantage of the offered meal services because they don’t offer a vegetarian option and unfortunately by the time I received a response to this question it was too late to cancel the reservation. The beds were a little hard and left us sore after sleeping but getting in the onsen did help.

This was the best place I stayed in during me & my husband's 2 week Japan trip and not coincidentally, where we decided to celebrate our wedding anniversary. For me, it was probably once in a lifetime and it was totally worth to get the full experience: huge space, private onsen, kaieseki dinner and breakfast served in the room. We didn't even leave the room once we checked in and the place plus the vibes really connected us with the surrounding nature. The most relaxing place I've been to!

The most comfortable & smart ryokan we stayed in across our entire trip. Room was immaculate (and spacious! Pretty much a small apartment), the food was lovely -- and the luxury of having a private bath directly overlooking the woods was an incredible experience. Staff were super accommodating on site (one of us had a knee injury, the staff kindly drove to where we were to pick us up, and also drove us to the bus station). Really serene spot in general.

Nothing that I can think of -- it's pricey, but was worth it in our view.

Lovely all the way through, the dinner set was the highlight and the staff extreme helpfull. Excelent for those who want a first experience with a Ryokan.

Dinner needs to be reserved 5 days prior and they tell you upfront. Only put this here because we booked the room 3 months prior and there was no short notice for dinner reservation and ended up forgetting to do so. Japan travel planning is complex and these details are missable. Lucklily the staff was able to provide an exception.

Superb!!! Modern, well designed, beautiful aesthetics, extremely clean. There are public hot spring baths (separate for women and men), and private one in our own room (all natural, iron-rich). Room (or rather, apartment) is so spacious, and view from the room and from the onsen in the room is gorgeous, overlooking trees / small forest, air is clean, everything is in immaculate condition! We added dinner option which was about 22,000 yen for two people - totally worth it: it contained multiple (maybe 8 or so!) courses, served in the privacy or own own room, including a very generous portion of Shabu shabu beef. Highly recommended tranquil stay with beautiful aesthetics and surrounded by nature! I wish we stayed longer - we had to catch a bus the morning after at 6am

Everything was perfect! The only drawback is that check in is quite late - 3pm, the dinner is served from 6pm and lasts 2-3h, so in the end there is not so much time to relax and enjoy the facilities. Earlier check at midday at least would work much better so at least people could spend a day there.
