Location is very close to the metro. So this is really good when traveling with a lot of bags. 7/11 is 100m from the hotel, a few fruit shopes around the hotel. The hotel has a restaurant.despite the room being realy small it still had a good felling.
The restaurant that is part of the hotel was full of stdange people and it made me fell unsafe as I was traveling alone with my dauther. Also the fruit shopes around were owened by Indians, who eere sll staring at you when you walked by and it made me fell not ok. The hotel staff during the day speaks zero english. The hotel doesnt have a sef they give you a portable one...

The location is excellent. A 1-2 minute walk from the Shin-Okubo Station, which means you're connected via the Yamanote Line to most of Central Tokyo and you're about 5-minutes by train to Shinjuku Station if a transfer would be faster or if you need to get somewhere further away. If you're staying out in Shinjuku past midnight, it's also only a 20-minute walk from the central area near Shinjuku Station/Kabukicho/Omoide Yokucho. The hotel itself was clean, seemed quite new, with comfy beds, and average sized rooms for a Japanese business hotel. I only spoke to one staff member, who was extremely cordial, when I was checking in. But there's also an automated check-in and I just used the kiosk when I was checking out. Especially for the price, it's a wonderful home base if you're looking to be close to the action in Shinjuku and have convenient access to transit around to the rest of Tokyo.

The Hotel is really close to the subway station Shin-Ōkubo, and from here you can get to a JR station quickly. The hotel is on a secondary road, that is quiet and there was never noise on the hotel room. Hotel room is quite small, it seems like it is the usual for tokyo, it had a few places we could use to hang some clothes, and a desk. Wish these hotels had raised beds so we could at least store the baggage there. Laundry machines worked and were not expensive. This was a plus. Bed was comfortable, we just had to ask for more pillows. It has a place on the lobby with all the amenities needed, you can just pick up what you need. You also have tea and coffee there 24h free of charge. I though it was a really nice touch. Close to the hotel there are shopping streets and restaurants, and it felt really safe everywhere.
Breakfast was good and very well done, but for 6 days it did not change, I think for long stays it should have at least a second option, even if it required choosing in the night before. I would not book breakfast again because of this. But it was good, just needed variety. Hotel Onsen - I've read that people with tattoos could not go to the onsen, but on the checkin day I decided to ask and the staff at the hotel said it was ok and we could go. On the day I went, I saw a big warning at the front saying "no tattoos" so I went to the reception and asked again just to be sure, this time I got a "you cannot go in" answer. I'm ok with not being able to go in, but all staff should be aware of this and not give different information to the customers.

We recently stayed at GALOIS Hotel in Tokyo, and our experience was nothing short of fantastic. The hotel offers a perfect blend of comfort and quality, making it an excellent choice for travelers. The rooms were impeccably clean, which is always a top priority for us. Although the room was on the smaller side, as is common in Tokyo, the size didn’t detract from our comfort. We had a twin bed setup, and despite the compact space, everything was thoughtfully arranged and very functional. One of the highlights of our stay was the food. The hotel’s restaurant serves absolutely incredible dishes. Every meal / breakfast we had there was simply to die for, from breakfast to dinner. It was evident that the kitchen team takes great pride in their culinary offerings. Overall, GALOIS Hotel exceeded our expectations. If you’re looking for a clean, well-run hotel with an outstanding restaurant, this is the place to stay in Tokyo.
Rooms a little to small but is something normal for Japan.

The Hotel stay was very good. The staff are friendly and it is a great atmosphere. I don't recall being bothered by noise and was able to rest comfortably. As a solo traveler, I booked a double room which was comfortable. I think if someone were to share the room, it might be a little cramped especially if you have multiple large suitcases and I may recommend a larger room. For me alone in the double room, the space was comfortable for my large suitcase and laptop bag. The table was great for my laptop and two monitors to do my work. I booked to include a breakfast for every day of my stay. I cannot fault the taste. It is very good and delivered very quickly. This hotel was, I would daresay, perfectly situated. It is quiet in the area and a short walk to the train station. If you just walk around, areas such as Shinjuku can be walked to within 20 minutes. Overall it is great!
For the Hotel stay, there wasn't anything I didn't like. The breakfast however is a different story. Every day it is the same breakfast (when you have the included breakfast). The options for drinks weren't great. Coffee doesn't taste great. The only drink that was rather ok for me was the orange juice and the milk they serve with the breakfast.

The perfect hotel. I was more sad to leave the hotel than Tokyo itself: The room was perfectly clean, and the staff was always kind and helpful. They spoke little English but ended up always with Google translate.. The hotel offers an onsen, daily cleaning (including fresh water), and plenty of useful amenities for the stay. Access to the floor is restricted to cardholders, ensuring privacy and security. Located just 60 seconds from Shin-Okubo station, with pharmacies and various shops nearby, it’s incredibly convenient. There’s also a Nepalese restaurant under the hotel that serves delicious food—definitely worth trying!
It wasn’t ideal being dependent on Google Translate for communication.

This was a nice option for a one-night stay with almost no luggage since the room is very small. They have plenty of amenities to grab from the reception which was nice. We ended up not using it, but they seem to have a nice public bath on the premises. Location was pretty good, easy to access two different stations.
The bathroom was very small, I'm not a big person and I was constantly bumping into the wall while using the toilet. It was very clean, but if you're on the bigger spectrum, I would be careful when deciding.

Very clean and tidy with its own little restaurant for breakfast and other meals. Close to the train station that is only one stop from Shinjuku station. Plenty of other restaurants and 711 100m away so very convenient. Rooms are small but very typical for Japan, with both twin beds and double available as we had 2 rooms, I being for our boys 17,19 and the other for us. Toiletries available at reception for you to help yourself- brush, shaver, shower cap etc
No place to store your luggage so could not leave the suitcase open always had to be closed to make room

I had an absolutely delightful experience staying at Galois Hotel! From the moment I arrived, the staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming, making me feel right at home. The entire hotel was impeccably clean, and the attention to detail in maintaining such a pristine environment really stood out. One of the highlights of my stay was the thoughtful touch of providing a foot massage machine in my room. After walking an average of 29,000 steps each day, this was an absolute lifesaver! It was so relaxing to come back to my room and unwind with the foot massage—such a unique and considerate amenity that made my stay even more enjoyable. The combination of the clean, comfortable atmosphere and the attentive, kind staff made this an unforgettable stay. I highly recommend Galois Hotel to anyone looking for a relaxing, well-cared-for experience. I’ll definitely be back!
nothing it was perfect!

Very good location, just a few steps from Shin Okubo station, which is only a stop away from Shinjuku. It is by no means in a luxurious neighborhood, but is in a chaotic area. In exchange for that you are close to tons of reasonably priced restaurants, a Don Quixote, etc. We got a twin standard room which was really clean, comfortable. When traveling to Japan, expect rooms to be tiny, so keep luggage to a minimum - travel as light as you can even in winter. There is barely room to open your carry-on luggage especially when there are two of you. Breakfast is not buffet, so not much choice. You’ll be ok with two night but beyond that you’ll want to grab breakfast elsewhere.
Nothing that was a deal breaker.
