It's my third stay at Graphy, first after COVID. Although there has been changes since then, the service at Graphy was excellent as usual, the room maintained well and the overall vibe and feel of the space is still as calm and friendly. Room was all I needed, extra pillows requested were supplied promptly and great (firm ones too!). The bathroom, while small, was adequate for all I needed as a solo traveller. Situated in a quiet neighbourhood, it is a good respite from busy Tokyo.

The walk to and from Ueno to Graphy is often difficult with luggage, but I understand you can circumvent that with a quick and affordable taxi ride (I haven't tried this). Was not able to get the beer on tap after they changed the welcome drinks to bottles, but was still good.

I loved they have cafe there. I loved their burger so much. The bed was so big and though air condition seemed old, it could keep me warm. It was nice that the place near station (Nezu Station is the nearest), and you can also go to Ueno Park by walking. Also, I really loved they had tee freebies that you can bring and make in your room which was so delicious.

The place was like on some housing complex because I think it was the only hotel nearby, it was so quiet. It was a good thing when you slept but when you bring your suitcase, you get the nervous feeling that you make some annoying noise because of the wheel. The bed and the desk takes some space so it is quite hard to open the suitcase. But it is still manageable.

This place was just so good. I couldn't recommend it more. It's such a lovely lively place with lots of lovely people from everywhere and of different ages. We are a couple and were able to have our super quiet experience but if you are with friends you can enjoy a community space with huge kitchen, pool table, sitting area, etc. The restaurant is delicious super cheap and had lots of vegan options which was such a great surprise. There's also a happy hour for beer! The place is super welcoming, well decorated and has lots of life to it. There's a cute terrasse on the 1st floor as well as on the rooftop. You can go for breakfast until 10.30am it's the dream! And it helped us discover Nezu which is such a lovely place full of cute shops and the great Ueno park. Honestly we couldn't have been happier!

The bed was slightly small and not the most comfortable is the only slightly lower point but nothing major!

Nice staff, clean and tasty food. The hotel is Built in a smart and efficient way. Solo and Twin rooms are a little small but great for the value paid. The hotel is Located in a very clean and quit neighberhood. This can be perfect for travellers wishing to take a break for a few days from tokyo's big city vibe found in other locations of the city. At a radius of a kilometer from Graphy, you can find many interesting touristic attractions, like bars and markets in Ueno neighberhood, swan boat lake, Senso ji and so on.. I especially reccommend this hotel for solo travelers which are interested in meeting other international traveleres.

Honestly i really enjoyed my time there.

The space, amenities, comfort and kind service is unbeatable for the price. The location was also nice and quiet with easy access to the subway line about a 5min walk away. I really appreciated the vegan options and fast service at the cafe. All the food was delicious! The shared rooms had huge lockers with individual keys. The beds were comfy and clean. The common areas and general amenities were awesome, including eye masks, earplugs, toothbrushes and shower gel/shampoo/conditioner all complimentary.

Some of the shared facilities were slightly lacking in cleanliness, e.g. sinks looking like they hadn't been wiped down or stray hairs. However, since this is also due to other guests' use, I can't fault the hotel too much. Otherwise, the bathrooms were spacious and tidy.

With this hotel, definitely the first thing that needs to be mentioned is the staff. They are just so wonderful and friendly! An additional thanks to the woman who made breakfast each morning; the food was delicious! I really liked that I could be as social or as asocial as I wanted to be here. I had my own room, but there were plenty of opportunities and spaces to meet other guests. The cooking facilities were far beyond what I expected. I didn't play billiards or go to the free beer hour or any of the movie nights on the roof since I was usually exhausted by the time I got back to the hotel, but they looked to be popular with the other guests. I'll definitely have to try out the other hotels in the same hotel group in addition to coming back to this hotel the next time I'm in Japan.

A minor thing that has more to do with fellow guests than the hotel itself: the new washing machines are locked by each guest with a personal code only known to them. If you get someone who does not come back to get their stuff, there is no way of using them. It would be good if there was an override for the staff so their laundry could be moved to one of the baskets in the laundry room so other people could use the machines too in these types of cases.

We really enjoyed our stay at Hotel Graphy Nezu! The location is very convenient, with walking distances to both Nezu and Ueno station, which easily takes you to most places around in Tokyo. It is close to the Ueno park, harboring cherry trees, the Zoo, Tokyo National Museum and the Natural History Museum, among others. The rooms are quite small, but after staying at other hotels in Japan during our stay, this seems to be quite common and the one at Graphy Nezu was larger compared to the other places we lived. We requested gluten free options for breakfast in advance. Although not included on the menu, they were able to prepare gluten free pancakes some of the days (but not all, so be prepared to buy gluten free options and have in your room). The non-gluten free breakfast alternatives are also very tasty! Otherwise, there is a nice 'lounge' area with free pool table and shared kitchen. In the breakfast area they also have a happy hour with free drinks one hour every day (for those who drink gluten-infested beer). Wi-Fi works excellent! The personnel is also extremely helpful and welcoming. Highly recommended!

Fantastic location. The neighbourhood is peaceful and green, but there are loads of restaurants, it’s close to both the well connected Ueno station and Nezu subway stop. The hotel was modern and fun with lots of comfortable public spaces. Lovely terrace at the front where we had breakfast each morning. We didn’t use the roof terrace but we went up to have a look at it and it looked comfortable too - lots of furnishings including a hammock. The staff were friendly and helpful. We had a projector in our room which was so easy to use and great fun. This hotel is a real gem.

The room could have been cleaner. We found an old bottle behind the curtain and the bathroom smelled a bit fusty. One day we were not given clean mugs and we were only given a welcome coffee in the room but no replacements. These were minor issues overall though.

I loved everything about my 7 night stay here. Welcoming staff, clean and comfortable accommodation, power/light and blackout curtains on dorm beds, toiletries provided and clean towels every day, tasty breakfast, quiet location but walking distance to train/subway, nice kitchen where you can cook, lounge area as well a a cafe/bar, and last but not least ‘Free Beer Hour’ every night.

Female shower was on a different floor to the room but it wasn’t an issue.

Bunk beds were roomy. Several floors of shower/washrooms. So if one needed cleaning you could find a cleaner one. The lounge area was great addition, with the large TV. Breakfast was ok, I honestly found going to one of the local shops a bit more of a bargain. Locker storage was ample in your room. Staff was attentive and allowed me to go back into my room and search for a lost possession.

Location's more on a quiet side. Its in the quiet neighbourhood northwest of Ueno, but only 20 to 30 minutes away from the big popular places such as Akihabara or Ikebukuro. Nothing to really dislike, the quiet neighbourhood is great for relaxation.
