The beach at a walking distance is just perfect, despite you are always approached but locals everytime you want to go for a swim. The food is nice, not exceptional, but nice. Vivian welcomed us at check in and she was the nicest person from the hotel, congrats on having her!

It was a shame that they do not allow a 12 years old to be at the upper pool areas. The pools available for kids were full of local tourists with lots of kids screaming and loud noise. The food is practically the same at all restaurants, but it's acceptable. The bed linen were not comfortable, old bed linen. Recommend you take water shoes and snorkelling equipment.

Our stay was wonderful. Hotel was so nice and had an amazing view on the ocean from the pool. Workers there were helpful and kind, and everything just went very well. - Great room - Great room service & property - Personel was amazing, and should be praised by management - Great services and equipments - "A la carte" seafood restaurant was amazing (not included)

Keep in mind: The good things in this hotel overwhelmingly outweigh the few bad points. - The meals were very varied but I did only really appreciate it in the paying "A la carte" seafood restaurant - Lack of non-alcoholic drinks/cocktails - THE WORST REALLY: No policy for poolchair reservations... People just left their towels and went wandering for HOURS, blocking the chairs around the pool (only ones in the shadow). The hotel should have a policy and personel should enforce it for those really really selfish people (they were a majority of the hotel customers)

Breakfast, and lunch are a bit redundant...maybe create a turn over for some meals.

In the all inclusive drink menu, for Pina Colada, they put regular milk instead of coconut milk like in Pina Colada from Premium drink menu....sound cheaper saving and lack of respect for customer.

The resort is huge, luxurious and offers a great variety of pools, restaurants and activities. The renovated rooms are very nice. The staff were fantastic, always cheery, welcoming, and the Jambo activities team were great fun with the water polo, volleyball and shuffle board games. Bar staff, cleaners, waiting teams will all make it feel like home as they greet you throughout the day. Small requests of ours were always met with help whether it be with food or hair conditioner. As vegans, we had a good choice of foods for each meal. The chefs even did vegan crepes each breakfast when we asked. Soya milk was also readily available, which was nice, and there were even milk and egg free cakes in the afternoons. The resort has a good variety of water sports at very reasonable prices. The spa and massage area is brilliant, so relaxing and well priced for all the treatments. We really enjoyed ours.

Power cuts to the area are quite common and when they occurred in the night all the lights in the room come on strangely - not a very nice surprise at 2am being woken up to turn them off and turn the ac back on. A more favourable exchange rate would be a bonus (119 to the dollar). For the price (and all of Diani is similarly very over priced) better spirits could be available. I would recommend for a stay in Diani compared to other options for sure!

Beautiful place. Has a fabulous infinity pool. Views and buildings were very pretty. Beds were very comfy. Entertainment by staff was superb. Volley ball and water polo were great fun.

It is so annoying when you have to pay for the gym, especially in an “all inclusive” . Their beef tastes like rubber. Cocktails are as bad as you can possibly imagine. Annoying beach boys every time you step onto beach.

Beautiful Facility and beach. it was very spacious with access to Baobab, Kolekole and Maridadi. The staff were very friendly and genuinely wanted to make our stay comfortable. We can tell management treats staff well, they all seemed remarkably happy to do their jobs, from the receptionists, Waiters, Chefs, bar attenders etc. This is very rare! The Entertainment crew was exceptional! They had Dance sessions at KoleKole bar area every evening followed by a Show at 9:30 every night. Every night the dance theme was different, well choreographed and entertaining. The Food was delicious !! A good variety for every meal. Everyday we enjoyed different culinary choices. We loved that the hotel also promotes local dishes! One day the had Swahili corner with authentic Swahili dishes such as Mahamri, Viazi vya Karai. Other dishes such as Njahi, Murenda, Chapatis cooked in the dinning area etc also showcased Kenyan dishes. Very impressed with Baobab hotel!!

During the weekend, there were more guests and the dining staff seemed overwhelmed. it took longer to get drink orders etc. Management should probably have extra staff to deal with a surge in guests to keep up with standards we enjoyed on weekdays. We’d also recommend getting better knives for Lamb, beef and other tough meats. Butter knives simply don’t work on such servings. We asked for steak knives and were informed there were none available. The all inclusive drinks were cheap liquors that are more likely to cause headaches. We just got a bottles of premium drinks. Please review the Safari drinks and add something else.

My toddler son is autistic so he gets very anxious around bees he has had a nasty experience in the past. The staff at the restaurant on the Kole Kole side of the hotel were very understanding and offered to seat us inside and also light candles to help, which really impressed me. The cafe lattes were pretty good and with the all inclusive you can drink and eat as much as you wanted. The shower water wasn’t as hard. Most of all Peace and Quiet at KoleKole was priceless. No blaring music from the bars. Thank you we will be returning next year.

When checking in guests who pay on the property perhaps streamline the process more post payments right away so it doesn’t come up at check out that a guest hasn’t pay for the accommodation. I was lucky to have kept my credit card receipt to prove. It wasn’t the end of the world though. The overall good experience overshadowed that small flaw.

The hotel staff and I mean from garden maintenance to all font of house staff were very friendly, helpful and always polite. The food available was of a wide variety and cannot complain about the its standards and quality. The hotel and grounds were clean, tidy and well maintained and the security within and around the grounds gave additional feeling of being safe.

Being unable to go on the public beach due to always being harassed by local people trying to sell their services, etc and their attitude made me feel uncomfortable when you advised them you didn't want their services. May be the resort could introduce a beach facility with one of their pool areas, so you get the feeling of being on the beach and near the sea edge within the secured area.
