The views were to die!!! Most of the staff were so so great, housekeeping was the best ever! Me and my daughter also really enjoyed the space in our room, the bathtub was a joy with my daughter, the room was beautiful and gorgeous.

The pools were not very clean, most had a lot of leaves and insects, even at 10am! 90% of the staff were professional and super helpful but a few of them were so rude, and unhelpful….one lady at the Kahawa place, and the lady at the reception during check in, gave me and my daughter so much attitude and barely gave us directions even when I asked her severally, she seemed to get agitated. Encountered only two “bad” staff the rest were super friendly super helpful and very awesome.

The resort is right next to the Indian Ocean. The breeze is amazing. It is reputed to be the best resort on the Diani beach stretch and it lived up to its reputation. On our first night we had dinner in the gardens with grills. That was lovely. The spa was great. Fantastic massage! Very polite and helpful staff.

The resort does not actually grant access to much of the beach. We had to go to Safari Beach resort to access the beach properly and go snorkelling, which is a shame. The food in the general dining is quite bland and the servers seemed to be rationing the sausages and bacon! The pool is not deep so expert swimmers might be disappointed. We flew into Moi airport then had to endure a 3-hour hot ride (including a pontoon crossing) to get to Diani.

If you're not planning to leave the resort, this is THE place to be! The grounds are super comfortable, staff are incredibly welcoming and helpful, and the food/drinks are good. There is a Carrefour grocery store less than 5 minutes walk away if you need any snacks for your room. So worth it, we loved the architecture, the food, lounging near the beach and pool. Their activity/animation schedule is quite full too, and the massage at the spa was lovely.

The reason I mentioned "if you're not planning to leave the resort" is because Swahili Beach is pretty isolated along the beachfront - there aren't any other big resorts close by. This means that there's not much to walk to (and also this stretch of beach is pretty rocky/covered in sargassum seaweek), and the beach boys in this part of the beach tend to cluster right around the hotel. With that said, this was not a huge issue, and we LOVED our stay here.

First the food at Bahraini restaurant was superb. The chef makes it a point to get to know the guests, he had a way of making everyone feel special. The resort is an absolutely breathtakingly beauty. Omar who is one of the pool boys is probably one of the most hard working people there, he deserves a promotion put him in the dinning room or make him a waiter. He has a radiant personality. And this is coming from a couple who has worked in hospitality operational leadership for a decade in the Middle East. The ladies at the spa were incredible.

Maybe it was off season but there was too much staff, which usually isn’t an issue if people are being productive, you need managers on the ground there were individuals who weren’t carrying their weight as much as others. The pool needs a paint job, there are edges with Spirogyra. The Day beds that have a 2000 KES by the pool need to be laundered, the pillows and covers have stains on them. The rooms are too stuffy and need to be aired out before visitors. The guest relations and room service numbers don’t get answered on time, and it wasn’t the busy line, just didn’t seem there was someone on the phones diligently. We had up 30 minutes just waiting on someone to pick up

the pool was nice to have, relaxing, big and with a nice pool bar serving cocktails and other drinks. breakfast was good, enough choices, we tried Zanzibar which is a restaurant that serves nice food and the atmosphere is excellent. must try! we also tried 2 times the Baharin restaurant as well nice and food was tasty. check in was ok, quick enough and gave us a very nice welcome drink.

wifi was not working 2 out of 3 days and as well the day that was working was cutting off continuously. must fix since if you don’t have a SIM card (we did thankfully) you cannot plan anything. staff was ok, kind enough even though they don’t over do it. just simply nice because they have to. we asked to leave our room 2 hours later but told us there was someone else checking in and needed it. this is low season and not many people come-actually many left at the same time as us! the first day we asked if it is safe to go outside and told me that it is not so safe and proposed we hired a driver to take us around. we walked, took a tuk tuk and visited the market/went to the beach-I tell you it’s very safe and don’t worry at all to go outside during the day at least that we went.

The hotel has aged gracefully and the owners have kept the same standards for over a decade. The staff are very receptive and warm . House keeping was thorough and the food and drinks were all very good . The variety of meals was also good considering it was low season . Beach beds were plenty. Check in was smooth and check out was equally smooth . Free transfers to and from Ukunda were a great addition.

I did not like the brown carpets in the room . They looked dusty and I kept sneezing I had to ask housekeeping to remove them . The soap dispensers are looking worn i think they should consider changing them. Service at the beach was a little slow and we had to keep looking for waiters . The internet was lousy and for two days was not working at our rooms .

The Hotel is beautiful! The pools have salt water, different depths and are beautifuly designed. The staff is extremely nice. The rooms are clean, spacious and have a really nice style. They offer a great diversity of food (breakfast, lunch and dinner) and everything was fresh an delicious. We can 100% recommend the hotel.

Unfortunately, the beach in front of the hotel is not nice.

Beautiful resort right on the beach. The setting means it never feels crowded. Huge choice of pools. Good spa options also at acceptable prices.

Pity that, for example, water is not included in half-board. This has to be paid for separately. I also did not like the variety of food in the buffet restaurant. Bathroom should be better maintained. Carpets in room need urgent replacement (old and dusty).

Infrastructure. Personnel. location. Food.

While doing booking throught the bookin.com, was not able to add a child into the suit room. The direct communication with the hotel leaded to now where. Finally end-up with an upgrade at the hotel. Lost of time, could've been done in the straight forward way BEFORE arrival having numerous talks. Instead of staying short periode of time due to uncertainties, we could've do more! The hotel booking team has FAILED. ATTN to MR, Alex ==> as discussed, pls improve.

Great Hotel. Be aware that beach is not as great as you would expect even though it has a beach. Very quiet area overall. Hotel is massive with lot of green space and pools. Service overall was very friendly and quick. 4 restaurants with a Buffett restaurant, one Indian restaurant, one tempanyaki restaurant and a grill more western food. Overall quality was good and lot of variety

I am always surprised that people love to have a band when dining I personally find this more and after dinner entertainment, but management decided otherwise. I think team could make sure that you have towels always when you are at the pool.
