My recent getaway to Diani Reef in January 2024 was truly delightful! The pristine white sandy beach was just perfect. What made it even better was the unexpected free upgrade we received, a wonderful treat for our third visit. Despite the challenges of the pandemic, the hotel is bouncing back, and my family and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay. It's easily one of the finest hotels around, and it certainly didn't disappoint. The nightly performances were simply spectacular, and it was lovely to see so many Europeans enjoying their time there too. Don't hesitate – book your stay at Diani Reef; you won't regret it! I really enjoyed beach time - the hotel security 'maasais' patrol the hotel beach line, so vendors and beach boys won't disturb you. As a plus they shoo away cheeky monkeys trying to steal your snacks 😃 The children loved the swimming pools and the playground. I also really enjoyed the daily 11.00 am activities by Dan and his troupe. We relieved our childhood playing water polo. The aerobics was super fun! The stretches worked! The food was well done and even the picky little eaters thought it was yummy! Especially our orders from the beach restaurant. The grilled prawns with coconut rice was our staple 😋 Solomon the bartender was exceptional at his work and we felt very comfortable and well taken care of - our drinks and cocktails came just like we liked them! He is very keen to detail. The room service staff was very polite and clean. We had rooms 3032 and 3033 & we really want to appreciate the gentleman who cleaned and tidied our rooms. We didn't find him as we checked out 😔 I didn't get to try out the spa, maybe next time. We took some beautiful photos by the palm trees and huge coral rock in the middle of the pool. One word - scenic!

Some staff kept badgering us about bills which were never forthcoming for our entire 5-day stay. Particularly from the dinners which didn't form part of our BnB. Next time try and generate the bills in real time so that we sign instantly as we go instead of waiting to follow us without the bills in hand - it was 'the bills are over 'there'; you didn't sign them' 🙄 We are here to relax and not do mental work.

Beautiful beach front hotel. Lovely, large and clean rooms. The beds were comfortable. Also a big balcony with lovely views, but because of the monkeys we rarely used it. The staff were proffesional and very friendly and kind😊. Special shout out to Mr. Hamad from the service team. He went out of his way to really take care of us, thank you :) The hotel is good for families, also with small kids. Interesting activities for kids to do each day and the evening entertainment is also OK. What we enjoyed the most was the main pool, us adults and kids :). Lovely chill out area. Nice music but can be too loud, we didn't mind. There is another pool though if one needs quiet and peace, where kids aren't allowed. Food was good. I particularly enjoyed and loved the kaimatis, mahamri and viazi karai at breakfast. Yummy😋 The beach is beautiful but the beach boys can be a nuisance. We really had a good good time here and we do recommend 😇

The hotel is abit rundown. Needs some renovations, for example in the bathrooms The food can get monotonous if your stay is long. Not a wide variety for kids as well.

Great property in urgent need of renovation.

We were warmly welcomed by the friendly staff from reception (John and Mahomed). They even changed our room to a bigger one ( at a cost of cause). Everyone was friendly and serving with a smile. They were always helping and going the extra mile. Can't mention everyone but all the catering staff were friendly even the chefs. Christopher the barman attended to all our needs. As we were on all inclusive, we tried all the cocktails and all other beverages that were on offer. Happy from housekeeping very polite with a smile, made sure that our room was clean, and we had enough water to drink. I had a pleasant birthday celebration there, if only I was allowed to bring my own champagne which they didn't have. We didn't spend much time at the pool but it was nice and clean. Bernard the attendant, helpful making sure that we had clean towels and he even moved the loungers for us away from the sun. We had a great time with friendly staff. The evening entertainment was not bad too we took part in dancing with the dancers and we had lots of fun. We will definitely come back.

We had the same fruit every day ( watermelon, pineapple and orange) Maybe have more fruit to choose from. We had a ask for mango which they greatly provided. I would suggest different dishes or maybe themed night at dinner.

The beach is breathtaking, very nice views. Breakfast has a wide variety and one is spoilt for choice. The 16:00hours tea is a bonus and vey nice for relaxing in the afternoon. The rooms are spacious and very clean, staff are polite and friendly. The hotel has great activities that cater to all age groups, a real vacation spot.

The room seems not to have been used in a while, hence it was a little musky in the first few days. But the housekeeping staff made sure it was hospitable and they sprayed air freshner to enhnace the freshness in the room.

Excellent customer service with a touch of humanity. The hotel is clean, friendly staff who are ready to help. Loved the evening entertainment and kids program. If you love classic Vibe with a modern touch, this is definitely the place to be.

Have more seats for the pool area - having to wait or find something else to do since all the seats are taken wasn't cool. For lovers of bathtubs showering, you might be a little disappointed if you love showering with your partner in them - they are a little smaller but still functional - this might not be the case for slim people though 😊

Breakfast - Liked the fresh fruits, the bacon and the fact that we could ask for stronger brewed coffee which was served to us at the table. Excellent service with respect to the latter. Dinner - Finns A la Carte restaurant. We had some really good dishes at Finns. The asian options as well as the meditteranean burger was really good. My daughter (and we) loved the Fish fingers which is more like fish goujons - made with fresh fish. Overall we were very happy with the fact that the resort offered a programme of activities and that the staff were very attentive and proactive in making our stay enjoyable for all of us. Great resort if you are a party of people with a range of ages.

Breakfast - the bread variety could include more whole grain bread. Would like to have had honey available. Special coffees such as Cappucinos, Americano's etc. For people who like there coffee stronger, there is room for improvement here. The piano in the lounge needs fixing and tuning. (: Some live music would be great on certain days.

The place seems giant, there are lounges and bars all over the place, the two pools are great, the gardens with many beautiful coconut palms are amazing, the access to the beach rocks as well. You really never have taken enough picture of the place. There are pieces of local art literally all over the place - both in public and private spaces. You could spend many hours exploring them as if you were in a gallery. It's a pity that the authors are not displayed. The complimentary breakfast offer is excessive. The prices in the restaurants and lounges are really affordable and what's more, the food is so much tastier than you would expect from a hotel. The staff is very friendly and helpful.

The electric kettle in our room was broken, it wouldn't stop boiling and I almost got burned trying to turn it off. The tap water tastes so bad that you can't use it for coffee and it's even hard to use it to brush your teeth (but that's not the end of the world). Sometimes the friendliness of the staff can be a bit overwhelming, under circtumstance several staff members will check in with you every few minutes. When you're outside the hotel plot, out on the Diani Beach in public, you get instantly approached by several sellers of stuff. Luckily you can hide away at the hotel premises from where you still get a great view od the ocean.

Nice location, great access to the beach, enough sunbeds, enough beach towels.The majority of staff was very friendly.Special thanks to our room attendant Nashon Kiprop, who is hard working, very kind, and took good care of our rooms and everything we requested.

The downside of this hotel is the food and drinks.It is definitely not a five star menu.Very few options to choose from, and they were repeating daily.The fresh juices were more water than juice ( they were definitely diluted).Also, the hotel doesn’t hold an espresso coffee machine.They serve a light, untasty coffee.
