Jacaranda was the ultimate summer vacation spot. It one hundred percent exceeded all our expectation. The hotel itself was phenomenal and so was the staff. I’d like to give special thanks to the catering staff including chef Harrison who was able to accommodate for our dietary requirements. He made sure that there was enough gluten free options for us to enjoy without any issues. Also the animation team has been lovely all throughout our stay. James took the time to teach us African dance and even offered us to perform with him during his introduction. I am honoured that he took the time to train us and allowed us to fully experience the Kenyan culture, he is an extremely talented and gifted person with a kind heart and (#bananapower). Juma made us all feel very comfortable and included us in all the activities. He’s spontaneous ideas was never short of entertainments. I’ll never forget our last day we played beach soccer (#faceplant). Amany and Ishmael both took us on beach walks to explore the beach area. They both made us laugh and ensured we all had a great time. I’ll never forget Amanys ability to always put a smile on our faces, and Ishmaels kindness (#bechiball). Let’s not forget the two lovely girls in the team, Charity and Rutha how ensured that there was never a dull moment during our stay where we did not have anything to do. They both ensured we were all comfortable and happy. Lastly, I want to say a big thank you to Suleiman, Hassan and the lovely bar lady (who’s name I cannot remember). They all made sure that we had all our beverages ready and encouraged us to try new things. I am extremely grateful for our stay. I will never forget every single person I’ve met and will forever be thankful for the warm welcome my family and I received. The Jacaranda family will forever hold a special place in my and my family’s heart.

The Wi-Fi was weak in many parts of the hotel.

The location is excellent - directly at the beach. The rooms are spacious. And the staff very helpful.

We had an issue with the payment. Unfortunately, we were charged twice (once with booking.com and on-side).

We recently stayed at this hotel, and it was an amazing experience! The staff were incredibly friendly, always smiling, and went above and beyond to ensure our stay was perfect. The service was impeccable—our room was cleaned spotless every day, and the thoughtful touch of fresh flowers added such a nice touch. The hotel grounds were beautifully maintained, with plenty of space between the bungalows, offering both privacy and tranquility. We loved the lush landscaping and the chance to see local wildlife throughout the property. Security was always present, which made us feel very safe during our stay. Overall, it was a wonderful stay, and we wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this hotel to others looking for a relaxing and safe getaway!

While we thoroughly enjoyed our time, we did feel that the breakfast selection, particularly the fresh fruit, could be improved. For a tropical country, we expected more variety and abundance in that area.

Grounds were very nice, had a rustic feel which other reviews state as a negative but it was part of the charm and definitely not run down. Modern windows, furniture, windows etc. would ruin the feel. Beach security was excellent. Location is good for Diani and beach walks and plenty of food. Afternoon tea was great. Restaurant had a great ambience, candlelight dinner at night and palm tree sea views in the morning.

Showers took an ages to heat up and struggled to work over WiFi. The activities desk was a massive rip off but that's to be expected. Asking for tea in the morning was a hassle it takes a long time and you can't serve yourself. The food was good but not great which is a shame because the restaurant is a fantastic place to sit. They are selective about taxis coming on site for airport pickups if you find a driver but that's about it. Was a great stay and good price for a beach front hotel compared to others I looked at.

quite a nice place for a family vacation, the area is spacious, the rooms are comfy, and the beach is beautiful and safe. the staff is nice and attentive (perhaps a bit too much, like taking away your plate even if you have not yet finished eating). each day complimentary tea and coffee was served, which was a nice touch, and the animation team was also amazing

the beach can be cleaned more often as we found quite a lot of plastic, cigarette buds, and beer caps hidden in the sand.

Wonderful hotel—made our trip to Kenya absolutely unforgettable! I'll admit, after choosing the hotel on booking.com and looking at the pictures, we weren’t entirely sure about our choice. But we decided to take the 'risk’ and it turned out to be mind-blowing! The photos don’t even come close to capturing how nice this hotel is—maybe 50% at best. We opted for the beachfront bungalow, and it was hands-down the best decision. What an unforgettable experience! The staff were amazing, the breakfast was decent enough, everything was spotless, and the team was incredibly attentive. We 100% recommend this place. My partner and I will definitely come back. If it’s Diani Beach, it’s definitely this hotel for us!

Maybe things take a bit longer and the staff can be a bit slow, but honestly it’s not a big deal.

This was one of the best hotel stays we have ever had. From the moment we arrived we felt exceptionally taken care of, with so much attention to detail. The focus on guests happiness and enjoyment is really felt, and it’s hard not to enjoy every moment in such a beautiful hotel and location. We loved the animation team, who always kept us entertained and put smiles on our faces. The food was amazing, and we looked forward to every single meal!

Really nice old style little houses all over the property but still allowing everyone’s privacy. The rooms are spacious and really have a good vibe with the darker wood and white wall style - plus a really good working AC. Housekeeping is really good and rooms are clean. Overall a really beautiful property! It’s directly at the beach and little paths over the whole property to the different pools and bars and everywhere direct access to the beach. Beachtowels are available. The breakfast was really good with a mixture of hot and cold breakfast dishes. The reception is very helpful with all kind of questions.

Some of the facilities need renovation (especially the bathroom) - it’s nothing huge, you just notice that some is a bit older and it doesn’t look so nice (but everything is working!) The restaurant is not open all day! But you can go down the beach towards Kongo river, there is a nice restaurant with good food. The water quality is not so good - but they provide bottled water for brushing teeth etc.

Views are epic. Just being by the expansive beach. The staff does evening performances. The property is beautiful.

The fittings and rooms are getting a bit old though, but nonetheless worth staying in. Food is good but not great. Staff service is a bit slow.

What a wonderful getaway in Diani! So happy I chose this hotel. It was the perfect size, not too big, not too small. The staff was friendly, the location was perfect! The security guards at the beach were watchful and made us feel secure from all the beach sellers. The breakfast spread was pretty good and we liked the dinner. I liked having our balcony to relax in the evenings.

The water in the shower was quite hot and we couldn't even get it to be warm, let alone cold.
