This is a family friendly hotel which is suitable for families that have kids. The staffs are so kind and sensitive as my boy is a visually impaired child, they are helpful all times. I like the pre checked in service where this hotel is the only i came across where there was a greetings from them before I reached. There are quite numbers of questions I asked because this was my first time there. The operator was so patience and take times to answer me though Whatsapp only which I feel more secure before going in the hotel. Overall the food, facilities are very good well maintained. I will go back again with my parents next round as I think they will love it very much too.

There was only 1 issue that i need to highlight as I was queueing up too long when checked in time. I reached there around 5pm but still standing there too long for check in. This is because I was having backache hence the queue is a bit too long for me.

If the room is booked directly with hard rock then they will give complimentary tickets to the adventure water park. I hope this complimentary ticket can be given for us booking through ibooking. I felt sort changed. In-house lunch and dinner pricing is on high side. If you are driving, you can get more options outside.

Great resort, good location - not on the beach though however on demand buggy service is available to Westin where Hard Rock hotel guest can also use the beach. Great and friendly staff, they were always willing to help and made our stay memorable. Clay, did the Memorabilia tour for us and showed us some of the "rock-star memorabilia" located at various sections of the hotel - a must do tour that happens twice daily. Clay was exceptional as was the rest of the hotel crew, not all of whose name i recall.

It was raining during our stay, we were on level 1 - the walking areas to the room etc was wet.

The room can fit the 3 of us comfortably with views overlooking the water park..privacy too..everything was in working condition except the scale..equipped with mini expresso a plus..breakfast was delicious..easy check in and self check out too..you won't be bored inside your room so many channels to choose from Hard Rock Cafe Music and Bose sound system..and Messi Burger was delicious too..

Late check in at 4pm and early check out at 11 am..luckily we requested late checkout and was given till 12.30..if not..the kids would be sooo disappointed..no beach..very expensive too..everything is expensive there.

The duplex suite room overall made the family vacation very enjoyable!

The kids room with bunker beds contained sweat stench & the wall has a lady face with big eyes staring at making the kids not wanting to sleep in the room at all. :(

This is my third time staying at Hard Rock Desaru and it was enjoyable. My suite was nice and spacious and the staff at Level 6 lounge was very accommodating, helpful and friendly. Breakfast selections were great. Thank you to the staff for extending my check-out time so that my husband could rest a little after the Ironman Triathlon before driving back to KL.

The aircon in my suite (#660) could have been a little colder. Since it was such a big area, the aircon was probably not powerful enough to cool down the room even though it was set to the lowest temperature. There was a water dripping sound in the ceiling in my son's room (#363) throughout the stay. Was a little distracting while trying to sleep at night but other than that it was good. Not sure how often the water filter tap in the rooms are serviced/cleaned as the one in my son's room had tiny black particles coming out every time I filled up the kettle to boil water. In the end, I just used the tap water as it looked cleaner.

The proximity to the water slides is a plus (the water park is a bit oldish but ok). The cleaniness everywhere, great evening Live Music, private beach within a short walking distance and the big offer of choices for the breakfast.

Apart from other resorts, this Resort is away from the village of Desaru itself. Except if you rent a car, you are dependent of taxis. Nevertheless, the hotels offer complementary services with buggys and there is a free shuttle to the embarkment point if you arrive by ferry.

The groovy playlist in the guest room matches the overall indoor room ambience. The guest room balcony overlooking the water park. Shuttle service from the hotel lobby to the beachfront at Westin Desaru.

During the check-in at the hotel frontdesk, no information was given by the frontdesk on dining options, facilities. We only get the info by reading about it in the guest room brochure. The hotel is not connected to a direct access to the beach front. The live band audio system drowns the performers’ vocals.

The staff were super friendly and accommodating. The location is nestled in the middle of the Desaru Coast resorts with relatively easy access to the beach, with many food options to select from (other resorts included!). There's also a shuttle bus to/from the nearby Ferry Terminal (15min away). The hotel amenities were great, and our room had a nice (semi-enclosed) balcony with a forest view. Overall we really enjoyed our stay. Would especially recommend for families with children!

A (minor) hiccup when we thought the adjacent water park was free access for guests (it's not). Access to the beach is also a ~10min walk away, don't expect the hotel to be right in front of the ocean. The bed was also slightly on the softer side without much lumbar support.

I liked the service from the staff. From the concierge to the housekeeping staff. They were all very friendly and welcoming. Loved the waterpark that’s connected. Loved the view from my room. Easy access to all restaurants and pool. Overall very good experience. Breakfast was amazing everyday.

We hoped there would be more family friendly activities to do besides swimming. Perhaps a karaoke room, a gaming room and such. But there really isn’t anything else to do besides swimming and abit of football.
