We loved our stay at Nuuna. It’s a special place right next to playa mermejilita. You sleep in a beautiful cabana outside in the middle of nature. Johna made our week there a huge succes. He is a really warm and welcoming person and you can ask him anything. Thumbs up for the coconut shower it is awesome!

Beautiful architectural design of the buildings and room. Excellent location near the beautiful Mermejita beach and off the noisy Mazunte village.

Unfrequent cleaning of the room, especially the bathroom. No breakfast is offered and the common kitchen is not well equipped (Pans without handles, just a few plastic plates). The kitchen is not clean, and drinking water was missing one day.

It was a great new experience. Beautiful bungalows with an ocean view, with an authentic bathing, terrace, and a comfy bed. The property had a shared kitchen with a fridge where you can put your drinks.

Our bathroom was facing other people's terraces. So when you use a toilet or bath, other guests basically can see you, and definitely hear you. The idea of an authentic experience is beautiful, but I was not feeling comfortable using a toilet. The staff greeted us on arrival, but I did not see anyone anymore since.

I loved how peaceful it was, so quiet you can hear the waves breaking on Mermejita Beach.

the only way to get there is by car cause the street has no pavement and impossible to carry your luggage even if you have a small carry-on, is really steep and there are no lights at night. Also, I learned Mazunte is pretty safe but to me is funny you can lock your room door but also, there are no real walls, only curtains, so...

Beautiful room. Very clean. I liked the location, not on the main strip but only a 2 min walk, which was safe to do alone at night.

No communal area/not a nice appealing space (just a kitchen and a couple of chairs). Would have been nice to have a sociable space but it seemed in retrospect most places in mazunte don't have this.

At first we had only planned 3 days there. But since it was so beautiful, we extended it. We had a beautiful view of the sea. The outdoor bathroom with bucket shower was a highlight every day. The owner is very nice and gave us good tips. There is also a well-equipped communal kitchen with a fridge that everyone can use. At night you can only hear the sound of the animals and the sea. The beach with the most beautiful sunset and the town are only a few minutes walk away. There is a small supermarket right next door. I can absolutely recommend this accommodation.

The welcome was very friendly! The beds were big and comfortable The outside Coconut shower was very refreshing and balcony was nice to sit on with the cool breeze from the ocean. Short walk down to the most amazing sunset Shop next door for drinks and snacks Close enough to the town centre to walk and far enough away for tranquility

Tucked away on the road to Playa Mermejita, this posada seemed like a real escape. The seclusion of the place meant that you felt like you were in a jungle with insects loudly chirping at night, but you could still hear the ocean. It was easy to walk into town (5 minutes from all the restaurants and bars) and was a two minute walk from Playa Mermejita. The bed was super comfortable and the mosquito netting was very useful. Although it was quite hot when we stayed there (over 80 degrees F, 26 C), the fan in the room kept us sufficiently cool at night. Showering with the outdoor basin was actually extremely refreshing during such hot temperatures. It was also very convenient that the onsite kitchen provided filtered water for drinking.

Their location on Google Maps was not correct at the time, and the hotel sign was hard to read, so it took a bit of wandering to find the place.

Bed was really comfy, manager and staff were professional and helpful.

Kitchen closes too early, and there is no other way to get drinking water. Hand showers are OK, but you end up using the same or more water than you would with a regular shower. If conservation is the goal, it would be best to explain the water situation at checkin and have signs so people are mindful of usage. Bowl showers were really a pitance for such an expensive place.
