Arte Sano is an unpretentious small, simple hotel a few steps from the beach down a sandy road. The staff were friendly and helpful. We stayed 5 nights in 2 different rooms. The first night was a small room with a balcony overlooking the quiet street. The other nights were in the top room above the reception desk and it was really nice with a living room and separate bedroom. Both had a small kitchen area with coffee provided and a large bottled water supply. It was nice to have breakfast included on the property. It wasn't the greatest quality but it was sufficient. The location is great as it was near enough to the main town area but was very quiet. The beaches on the other side of town were narrow with lots of seagrass when we were there. Compared to other hotels this was great value for money. Just a note about the beach. It looks idyllic and indeed it is very beautiful, but the sand is hard and damp so you really need a chair to lie on. It's not like the soft sand of Isla Mujeres or the places on the mainland. However, right on the beach down the track there's a small bar called El Sabalo with lots of sunbeds which are free if you buy a drink. The prices are really reasonable so no need to pay for an expensive beach club.

The towels were a bit tired and there were no beach towels or chairs for us to use at the beach. The small pool (very small!) was clean and great for a quick dip after the beach but it lost the sun in the evening. Pool loungers were broken and not replaced.

I stayed at Arte Sano during a mum/daughter trip in April and we both loved our stay. The property is easy to reach by walking from the ferry. We arrived late and Victor sent me a virtual guide to the property and our room. Communication was amazing and all staff super friendly. The decorations of the hotel are very pleasant. The little pool is great and there are hammocks put up during the day for relaxing. The hotel is a very short walk from the beach. The location is awesome. There is some seaweed on the beach currently but it’s perfect for swimming nevertheless. There are lots of restaurants in walking distance. We enjoyed the breakfast at the hotel each morning. Pancakes with fruit were our favourite. I would always stay at this place again! It felt very personal and welcoming! Victor can help with tours, transport, dinner recommendations or whatever you please!

Nothing was really bad, but the swimmimg pool is really small and they allowed a couple with a baby to stay despite the hotel being adults only. Also, we stayed 9 nights and the breakfast buffet was the same every single day. Bringing a bit of variety (at least with fruits and juices) would make it even nicer It is a bit expensive for what it is but prices on the island are high

The location, just a quick walk to the beach, as well as within walking distance to restaurants and stores, could not be beat. The beds were comfortable, and having a bottled water cooler, sink and refrigerator in the room was very helpful. The breakfast was a nice touch; although simple, it offered plenty of choices and was quite satisfying. Part of our stay involved Hurricane Milton, and the staff did an excellent job of keeping us informed, which was much appreciated.

The host has been very responsive and helpful during our entire stay! Our room was nice, spacious with everything you need and close both to the beach and the centre of Holbox.

The breakfast was a bit poor and always the same (we stayed 4 days and had the exact same breakfast every day). I would also suggest to provide with carpets or something to properly clean slippers as there is sand in the yard of the hotel (which I would rename as Suites, as it's not a classic hotel in my opinion) and everyday we were bringing sand in the room. Other than that we had a positive experience!

The location: very close to the beach and only a five minute walk to the center Staff: Victor was extremely hospitable and was always available to answer questions and even made phone calls for me when I needed help! Facilities: the room was a perfect size and came with coffee a little kitchenette and mini fridge. Each room has a balcony or deck which was really cute and perfect for drying towels or beach items. I really liked the laid back, smallness of the hotel rather than a bigger resort-like hotel. It was exactly what I wanted for this trip!

Pleasant and calm stay. The hotel is small and peaceful, very helpful staff. Especially liked to chill in the hanging swing on the balcony.

did not like the fact that it was not possible to get a beach chair by the beach even for extra money, as the hotel does not have direct access to the beach.(other hotels did not offer an option to book beach lounge chair) Breakfast in hotel could have been more varied. The internet connection sometimes just disappeared.

This is one of the best options in Holbox, no question. Víctor (who is in charge of handling everything there) is just excellent and helps you with all you need. The food they prepare is fantastic! Superabundant and delicious, and it is well-balanced too. You are near the beach, the rooms are all you need, and the staff is excellent. They try every time to make your trip better.

The only point for us is that it would be great if the rooms had curtains to allow the light to come in when you are in the room, but you don't want to be seen. Rooms have amazing blackouts to stop any light from coming in at night (which is excellent), but during the day, you get exposed by opening them to let the daylight come in. This would be fixed if, besides the blackouts, they put some curtains too to give you privacy and allow the light to get in.

Viktor is a great chef! Meals had both cooked and fresh options. Better than I expected! Beautiful outdoor setting at mealtime-and hammocks are set up daily. Lots of care is put into the grounds and making the stay comfortable. Quiet and beautiful area away from electronic incessant music of areas just a few blocks away. A short and lovely walk to a very nice public beach-one can even walk to town along the beach. Large and comfortable room, nice enough to even hang out in and relax! Very diplomatic, helpful, and nice staff! Excellent stay! We will return!

Perfect location, just 100 meters from the beach and same for the "city". Very helpful staff! We had booked for 4 nights,but decided to stay for 3 more nights because of the good location and beautiful island! The breakfast was simple,but had all the right things to start the day with.

The pool could have been cleaner, but we were there for the beach anyway.
