The hotel and the room (i stayed on ground floor) were very nicely decorated, the room was beautiful with an outside seating area. Pool area is great, the breakfast was nice and staff were very welcoming, friendly and helpful. As a solo female traveller i felt very safe.

The location wasn’t ideal due to extremely flooded streets. Whilst no fault of the hotel the flooding needs to be addressed, as the hotel is excellent but the roads are inaccessible and I felt scared getting taxi’s through such deep water. To note I visited towards the end of rainy season. This might not be such an issue in dry season.

Design focussed, huge rooms, friendly staff, beautiful gardens and large pool area.

Location difficult to reach from town, needed many taxis to get back. One day they turned off our a/c and there was animal faeces on our balcony when we arrived as well as our toilet didn’t flush. Both sorted promptly. Needed to pay for any additional items in cash which was difficult on the island and included breakfast of fruit and yoghurt nice but additional food needing to pay for wasn’t great.

El Nido is just that- a nest of perfectly designed peace and calm on an island where those things are premium. Alberto and the staff make you feel welcome and untroubled- no thumping music, no loud voices, no intrusions. The hotel itself is gorgeously designed with a lovely pool. The bed was huge and very comfortable. For those of you looking to have a quiet stay just five minutes from the beach, and a beach with few people (unlike the other end of the island) this is for you. Well worth the adventure.

I think this hotel is exactly how it presents itself- a cool, well designed hotel in a quieter part of the island. Rooms are lovely, good size, AC worked well. Breakfast and dinner both solid. Staff were very nice and helpful with all questions and booking the whale tour and transfers to the airport. Very clean throughout. Would stay again!

The pool itself and the design of the area is very nice. The only seating though are hammocks (great!) and these big pillows on the ground. I'd recommend getting at least a few chair options because laying flat wasn't the most comfortable in all circumstances.

We had an outstanding stay at El Nido. The staff were all incredibly kind and helpful -- special shout out to Edgar and Franco! The pool is lovely and relaxing. Nearby beaches are great, with significantly less seaweed than beaches in the center. Our room was comfortable and very quiet.

This wasn't a problem for us because we expected it, but be aware that a taxi into the center costs 250 pesos.

simply perfect! we ourselves are boutique hotel managers in Dubrovnik, so we can say from the professional perspective: everything is perfect! rooms are very clean and smell nice. the bed is very comfortable and the hotel has an absolute boutique flair! housekeeping is very detailed and perfect (in Mexico this was not the case everywhere!) breakfast was simple and very good, loved the yogurt&granola! and of course the wonderful staff and team! everybody is so lovely and so helpful. also we loved the location as it was not directly in the center, and it was calm and peaceful. the caddy taxis are cheap, and it is so easy to get back and forth! and el Nido itself? is a dream!!!!!

nothing - everything perfect

This is a brand new little hotel and it’s really lovely. the pool is small but lovely, the beds around it are comfortable and spacious, and our room opened up onto the pool deck (with a little swing). the AC was great and the bathroom large. Staff were helpful and nice and brekkie was charming and filling!

we booked this knowing it was a little out of town, and it really is! Its a 20 mins walk into town (which isn’t that appealing when it’s hot!) or an easy taxi ride. On the plus side, it’s very quiet and close to the truly magical quiet beach, Punta Coco.

My partner and I had an amazing stay at El Nido. A really gorgeous boutique hotel, very well designed with great attention to detail. First class service with very accommodating, friendly and knowledgable staff who went the extra mile to make our trip great. The restaurant had just opened when we arrived, the food was really good. The hotel is 2 minutes walk to the beach - a nice quiet stretch with turquoise water and chilled beach bars, and some more rugged quieter beach spots too. Getting into town takes 30 minutes biking - but beware of the pools of water that can block roads. Taxi takes 10 minutes, and costs around $20. The centre is very busy - very touristy. Playa mosquito was our favourite beach.

Really beautiful hotel, relaxt and quiet. Clean! Really helpful staff. Great for couples or if you want to escape the busy beachtents.

Quite far away from the town (walking 30 mins), and first beachtent also about 10 mins.

When we arrived after long and tiring trip, El Nido staff welcomed us warmly, saying that from now on, we will switch mindset to total rest and that's exactly what happened. Hotel is beautiful, designed with attention to detail and tribute to local nature. On-site restaurant serves very good food, pool is ultimate tranquility spot. Rooms were spacious and very comfortable. When AC didnt work due to limited power, fan was doing sufficient work to keep us cool. Brilliant spot in Holbox, will gladly come back
