Perfect location on beautiful part of Holbox beach. Beautiful hotel, nicely decorated.

The restaurant of the hotel is closed, so the whole beach area of the hotel looks deserted. The stay would be much better is the restaurant operated.

Loved our stay in this hotel! Right on the beautiful beach with beach beds and towels provided as well as table service for beers/cocktails/food. Staff were really friendly and inviting too - also very helpful with organising taxis etc. The rooms themselves are simple but decorated really nicely - lovely lighting, great air con as well as ceiling fan. Showers were always hot too. Pools were both great and very clean too. Hotel is in the best part of the beach. Can’t fault this hotel!

Could have done with a couple more hangers in the room and the cocktails were a little expensive. Other than that I loved it all.

The location was perfect. Walking distance to the center but far enough you didn’t get the noise. The room was terrific with a very comfortable bed and fantastic view (room 14). The pools were small but perfect for a nice refreshing dip after being salty from the sea. Air-con worked and it was a life saver.

Not quite a dislike but the shower pressure came and went (not a big deal for us but some travelers like to know that kind of thing). No working safe (but never felt the need to use one). A fridge would have been great but it wasn’t a deal breaker.

What a little oasis this hotel is on a very busy island. It is slightly on the edge of town before the very large and super expensive resorts begin. But a short walk to the busy part of town. It is also near the local shops and restaurants which are about half the price of places in the more tourist area and along the beach. We were a family of four so we booked two rooms. One with one king size bed and another with two doubles for our teen boys. Both rooms came with nice bathrooms with double sinks and lovely walk in showers. The beds were firm but with toppers that made them very comfortable. I would have preferred feather pillows but hotels just don’t seem to provide them anymore. We were provided with nice shampoo, moisturiser, hand wash and body wash in large refillable bottles. Towels for the shower and separate towels for the beach. Each room had a balcony with lovely comfy hammocks which we used as did most people staying at the hotel. There are two pools which are small but refreshing. Also the outdoor showers were great for washing off the salt from the sea or chlorine. The beach is a stone’s throw from the hotel with beds to lie on. If I could make one suggestion it would be to supply some shade on the beach beds and chairs. Not just the ones at the hotel. We didn’t eat breakfast at the hotel but ate lunch twice. The food was fresh and delicious. Lightly seasoned which is unusual for Mexico where food can be very salty. All the staff were friendly and helpful. Tip: Take a taxi from the ferry!! Worth every penny. Not all the footpaths are in tact and it was a nightmare with wheelie suitcases.

Food in breakfast was good, specially chilaquiles which was excellent. Staff was very nice and helpful. They were excellent. Room we were staying was on second floor. It was nice, very clean and there was space enough for two people. Location was excellent, close to center but still quiet neighborhood. We liked that there was not any loud music in hotel.

What was missing were shelves for cloths and fridge would have been nice. Base breakfast was a bit poor. There was only one choise of main dishes included in price. It would have been more convenient if fruits were included on top of one main platter.

Location near the town of Holbox, but away from the noise and 1 min from the beach. The room was spacious and with a partial view of the sea. The bathroom had a shower with good water pressure. Two well-sized swimming pools and an area with chairs and sunbeds. Taxi to and from the ferry was 100 MXN, or you could walk for around 15 mins.

The area right in front of the beach is new, and they did not have sun umbrellas. So you had to rent one from the hotel next door or stay under the sun. Breakfast was not included.

Pet-Friendly hotel, 5 minutes away from town (walking), comfy king size bed, comfy/ample room, hammock inside room, close to ÑaÑa beach club, internet signal better than in a Punta Mosquito, good attention at restaurant, food is ok.

No ocean view despite hotel being in front of the beach, just one room on 2nd floor has ocean view. No TV inside room, which make this one boring, especially at night. No fridge inside room. No coffee maker inside room. Little pools location inside hotel are a joke, they look more like decoration fountains, no sun loungers nor beach club at the beach in front of the hotel, sun loungers and beds at the hotel front yard are dirty and no strategically positioned, they're barely used, drinkable water only at the reception which is a little bit far from some rooms.

Comfortable and spacious room with balcony - super quiet during the night. The staff was super friendly and speaks a good English which was quite nice for us. We loved the fact that you could watch a lot of cute little geckos in the night:)

The beach front was across the street and could have offered sun umbrellas or something like that. No breakfast available cause the restaurant was closed.

- Located on the beach - Beautiful location - Easy walking distance to Holbox central square - Great breakfast - Friendly staff - Large bedroom with strong A/C - Rooms cleaned with fresh towels - 2 swimming pools - Mosquito net on the door was great in preventing bites - The bedroom TV can connect to YouTube and Netflix - Can easily hire bikes at reception

- We arrived at 11 pm due to delays with our flight. Because of this we missed the reception hours. Travelling from the UK meant we had no access to data and couldn't connect to the hotels WiFi. I had to visit the hotel opposite, connect to their WiFi and Whats app the manager for instructions on how to access the room. It was stressful after a long flight and we struggled to find the phone number. Just be aware the reception shuts at 10 pm and plan your travels around this. Small things: - Breakfast service can be slow but the food is great once it arrives. - Breakfast advertised 'Tea' but there was never any. - The WiFi went down on the last two days of our stay. Overall the whole of Holbox doesn't have great WiFi so this is something to just bear in mind.

We know Holbox well and Casa Iguana is a nice semi-modern traditional hotel, beside the beach, short walk to the village centre. Included breakfast was a real benefit and it was a full breakfast from the complete menu - no continental shortcuts. The room was spacious, bed comfortable and shower excellent.

The internet/wifi was spotty - not functional in our room (no. 9) and required walking closer to reception to obtain strong enough signal. While spacious with a main room and an entrance room, it would have benefited from a table and chairs to make use of the space. Be warned that Holbox is subject to large amounts of sargassum seaweed that can cover the beaches for 10 to 30 feet into the water making access and swimming unpleasant. This was the case during our visit (Feb).
