This is a lovely historic hotel with really beautiful public areas. My room was in the newer part of the hotel and I was really pleased to have a view of the fjord, which I hadn't expected! There are various beautiful areas to relax in, both indoors and outdoors, right by the water. I was very happy with my room, which was large and beautifully decorated. There was a nice tea tray, iron and umbrella! The bathroom was also very modern, large and spacious. I didn't have an evening meal, but breakfast at the hotel was really excellent. There was a huge selection of cereals, fruits, breads, pancakes, cooked items, everything you might want. I only stayed for one night at this hotel but I wish I could have stayed longer. Its definitely a place to return to.

This hotel is modern. Nice location in Nordheimsund. It offers a lot of services. Building quite big. Room was ok. Good breakfast. Parking available in the vicinity

The room was not perfectly isolated. We could hear the traffic noise from the street. In our room The soap dispenser is on the opposite side of the sink which is a nuisance. A small fridge is available. The breakfast experience was almost traumatic with the amount of people at the same moment. A long queue to get some coffee. Coffee machine with capsules was not obvious to use, if not familiar. Unfortunately no explanation in other languages...

Our 2-bedroom apartment was in the new building and had gorgeous views of Norheimsund and the fjord. Free parking right next to the building. The breakfast buffet was an impressive spread of various hot and cold items. We also appreciated the espresso machine in the lobby. Highly recommend the rib boat tour and a swim in the fjord at the little beach/swimming dock a block away.

The town is very small with only a couple of restaurants. Chinese food restaurant nextdoor was terrible and the staff incredibly rude, avoid at all costs. The thai restaurant, alternatively, was delicious!

We had a room in the older part of the hotel and it was beautiful with a large balcony overlooking the fjord. The room was small but very modern, beautifully decorated and clean. The bathroom was all new and very nice with the attached bath products (which I love!). We had a really nice dinner in the hotel restaurant. Although pricey it was very good. There was free parking at the hotel, as usual, the spaces very narrow. The lobby area was really pretty and welcoming with a little bar.

It was great. One of the receptionist was super helpful and gave me some tips but the younger men were not so helpful.

The personnel in the lobby was very friendly. The old part of the hotel is beautiful, the new part does not really fit to the old part. The room was large and simple, but had everything we needed.

The coffee machine was leaking. At dinner the starter was amazing, but the rest of the food was lacking a bit of taste so we felt it was overpriced.

The breakfast was the largest and best free breakfast we have ever had at a hotel! The historic side of the hotel was fantastic for a coffee/tea break and meals. We had a very large (two-bedroom) suite in the newer wing of the hotel. It included a kitchen where we baked a supermarket pizza one evening. The balcony had a beautiful view looking down the fjord.

Really can't think of anything we did not like!

Loved the charm and character of the building and its location. Superb view of the fjord and the beautiful town. Staff very friendly and co-operative, and while I appreciate that we chose to be in the older part of the building, there could have been an offer to carry bags for older visitors.

Excellent location and view from our sea facing room with a huge balcony. This Hotel was the most memorable from our trip. Beautiful apartment, nice breakfast and view from Hotel of the Fyord and the city shall remain in our memory for a very long time. Also has free parking available at the premises

Excellent breakfast, well managed by friendly staff. Reception staff welcoming & helpful. Housekeeping staff very efficient. Our apartment came without sink plugs in kitchen & bathroom, this was rectified in 15 mins by reception & maintenance staff. Wonderful location overlooking the fjord.

The bathroom was spacious, but lacked enough towel rails or hooks for a 2 bedroom apartment. The nice sized balcony only had 2 chairs, we were booked in as 3 people, sadly it rained almost everyday so we didn't get the chance to use them. Our bedroom was a lovely size with plenty of storage space, but lacked a mirror or dressing table despite there being room for both. Extra wall sockets would of been useful especially by the bedside cabinets. Worn out chairs in lounge let it down a bit.

A large well-equipped room looking onto the fjord. Pleasant aspect. Plenty of free parking. about 2hrs drive to Bergen airport without having to drive through Bergen itself, so good for one or two nights either arriving or leaving from Bergen. Has atmosphere with old section of hotel being wood panelled. Nice lounge with fjord view. Lovely dining room. Staff friendly.

I would have liked the warm part of the evening buffet to have labels saying what the food actually is - it was just looking and guessing. No drinks list was provided, you asked and you got but you were not aware of choices or prices. Although the evening buffet had a wide choice is was the most expensive by 100 Kr for each person that we experienced during the 10 days we were in Norway, but it did not exceed the quality. Dining room bills had to be paid there and then and could not be added to the hotel room bill. No crackers either for the cheeses!
