The hotel staff were super helpful, friendly and listened to what you needed and assisted going above and beyond. The room was immaculately clean , spacious and the view of the lake was stunning. Breakfast had options for any dietary needs and fresh produce, a beautiful fresh breakfast . Option to take away a coffee with you too. I had lunch at the hotel again the food was fresh and delicious. The hotel is quiet and peaceful . The busiest time is early breakfast as everybody heads off on their daily tours/trips which the hotel accommodates and manages well seamlessly. The location is away from busy Puno so a 5 minute taxi ride into the port or pick up from your tour agency can be arranged. The hotel is on an island of its own and has a walk which you can do around the hotel by the lake which is tranquil and peaceful which can be a short length of time or longer if you take in the views. If your heading into Puno for Lake Titicaca then this is the idealistic place to stay overlooking the lake.

It is a very good hotel as it is better to stay outside of the city and have beautiful views on the lake. However, it is a bit old style hotel, 5 stars old style too:), the airco does not work properly, the restaurant is overpriced ( but the food is good), the sauna and fitness part need some upgrade. Prices of the hotel agency high . Better book taxis and trips in the city. Overall good hotel.

Lovely hotel with outstanding views. The location just outside Puno was great, only a short inexpensive taxi ride into town. We spent a night on the uros islands in a homestay prior to our stay here and the hotel is right next to the port used for the pick up and drop off. Breakfast at this hotel is outstanding, best in our month in Peru. Loved the jacuzzi in the spa area. Staff were very helpful and service was excellent. Overall a great 5 star stay.

Trips are very expensive compared to prices in town. Issue with the mini bar not being full on arrival and then being charged for missing items, however this was addressed very quickly and efficiently by the receptionist.

The location was only a few minutes by taxi out of Puno itself, and was a quiet retreat from the bustle. Comfortable room. The hotel itself was spacious and we enjoyed passing the time after check out, until it was time to leave for onwards travel in the evening. The pool table was a great feature! Breakfast and lunch were fantastic - we were delighted to see healthy options on offer at the lunchtime buffet. The staff could not have been more pleasant, helpful or professional - thank you.

The bathrooms may be due an update relatively soon. We hoped to use the spa facilities however the steam room was not in use.

Excellent hotel all around with a spectacular view over Lake Titicaca and the city of Puno. Though the building is old, it blends in well with its surroundings and is tastefully decorated, including with some archaeological finds from the island that were found during the hotel's construction. We had dinner at the hotel every night we were there, it's a bit pricey but the quality is good, and the staff, especially Matilde, are excellent. Breakfast is rich with gorgeous views out towards the Uros on the lake. The hotel is worth it for the views and setting alone, one of the best stays, if not the best during a two-week trip to Peru with my mom.

If you are looking for a place with a great view of the sunrise of the lake, look no further. Our room was on the fourth floor and we enjoyed a great sunrise over the lake. The breakfast was incredible with many options. We were so full that we didn't feel the need to eat again until dinner time. My husband was also able to take advantage of the gym and enjoyed that as well. We wish we had time to spend a little more time here. There were even a heard of llamas that roamed the grounds!

Just keep in mind this hotel is about 15 minutes outside of the city of Puno, so if you plan to do some sightseeing in town it's not a walkable distance or if you are coming in off the train, you will have to find your way there. The hotel does offer a pickup from train station and there is also a airport dropoff option, but these were MUCH cheaper when we found them ourselves.

DON‘T book your tours to the islands with the travel agency onsite !!! More than double the price than any other agency…same/identical tour as everyone else!! We arrived late the eve before and booked in the hotel, but finding out next day from the other tourists on our boat how much they paid felt definitely like a rip-off !!!! Same with Taxi !! Hotel charges you 10 US$ vs. same transfer with same car booked directly = 5 US$ !!

Lovely walk round Esteves Island with beautiful scenery. Service and friendliness of staff in restaurant was excellent. Quality of food was really good, especially breakfasts. Reception staff very helpful and efficient in answering queries prior to check-in.

No kettle in room for making tea/coffee. Tours desk not open for long, and no readily available leaflets in reception giving details and cost of trips that can be booked.

I honestly think this is the best option if you would like to stay on the mainland. We liked a lot a view from the rooms over the lake, the beds were comfortable and the shower was nice and hot. Also the breakfast buffet was sufficient for us. You need to be aware that the hotel is a 15 minute drive from the city by Taxi and that there are no restaurant options on walking distance. Fortunately the restaurant in the hotel itself is great.

When we were shown our room, we noticed that the door between the rooms was wide open. We could see and walk into the room of our neighbor. After we addressed this issue with the front desk staff the issue got resolved properly.

This was the best hotel we booked during our travels. While it is more expensive than other hotels in the same area, we were excited to have a five star hotel experience for a fraction of what it would cost in Canada. The restorant is incredible and we were able to use the spa facilities. The view of the lake is incredible. The only downside is it's removed location but taxi's are not expensive (12 to 15 soles) to get you to the city centre.
