Everything was okay and clean. There's a small fridge in the room, also trash separation and they offer to clean the room every day. Breakfast was good with quite a big variety, also live cooking for omelette and such. The rooftop terrace was really great, they should use it more.. it's like a "hidden location" not a lot of people go there. They have a heated small swimming pool.

The sound insulation of the windows and building is a bit lacking, as others mentioned, if you're a light sleeper take some sound insulation ear plugs or such, there's also an event located just behind the hotel, in the Park, and if there's a party, the music is very loud.. the windows were vibrating for the Bass. It's great that they clean the room every day but they also just change the towels even if they're not in the shower floor, for some ppl that's maybe okay but it's not eco friendly, if maybe every two or three days, definitely better for the environment. Very strict policy with breakfast time, so if you arrive 10:15 (breakfast until 10:30) they are very stressed out that they need to clean and ready the restaurant for lunch.

Lovely hotel, not far from Funchal old town and the sea front, with plenty of bars and restaurants nearby. Buffet breakfast catered for all tastes. Bar, pools and sun loungers all clean, well laid out and never crowded. We had a lovely big room over looking the pool and with a sea view. The staff were friendly and flipped from French to English to German as needed, amazing.

Funchal has hills, big hills, so if you don't like walking up or down hills, book somewhere closer to the seafront! One minor negative is that despite having cups and a kettle, the room had no tea or coffee, and the kettle smelled disgusting. No doubt we could have fixed this with the staff if we wanted! Our room was a bove the bar, where there was live music each night. It was a bit noisy on some nights, but didn't go on too late.

Breakfast was great - full continental and amazing. the pool was beautiful - two pools! Both were very much in use throughout the day beautiful sitting area around the pool and bar as well. balconies in the room were so relaxing and amazing as well

- the beds were just really hard! Like sleeping on the floor. but if you like a stiff bed then that's perfect - if you need to leave early for hikes, be aware that the front door is sometimes locked and you need to go around through the garage - for parking, there is veryyy very very limited space. most days we had to park down the street and pay for street parking. not too expensive but just inconvenient when you're bringing stuff in or tired from a hike

Friendly Staff who helped us get a rental car without hidden costs. Parking was free. Decent breakfast, but we lacked some variety for longer stays. I think it would be great for a less than 7 days stay. The pool was really nice, we especially enjoyed the covered pool area to avoid the sun and just relax. Beautiful areas within the hotel that makes it feel relaxing and spacious. The room was spacious and with a little garden area right outside. Very nice!

There seemed to be incoherence with staff members about their policy for breakfast hours. Some were OK with us finishing up our food while they removed the buffet, and others seemed quite annoyed when we were not finished when breakfast hours were over. Kept asking us to finish up and leave. It made it feel much less relaxing. Limited parking spaces. Had to arrive before 17 to get a dedicated spot. A smaller car is beneficial to utilise the driveway space. There was a big cockroach in our room.

I did not have very high hopes for this hotel since it was the less expensive Enotel, but it exceeded my expectations. Great location, spacious rooms, comfortable lounge, nice pool, huge Turkish bath, nice food. Madeira is such a magical space. Our stay was way too short.

Really, no negatives. Even the bed which was much firmer than I am used to, was very good for my aching back. I am actually going to get a frim matress at home now.

Originally we had an option with breakfast but we also chose to dine some of the evening in the hotel as it is a chef masterclass dish options available. We absolutely loved to try so many varieties and each evening there were new dishes so tasty! We want to come back and stay in this hotel again, the location is fab if you rent a car! Car parking can be tight but it always worked for us. The room is large and high ceilings, we are thankful for the room with balcony in the quieter hotel wing! So lovely! What surprised but I really appreciate and value for the hotel having an agenda every evening something different to entertain the guests in the evenings. All sort of music genres and even an introduction to Portuguese custom songs/dance to take part, you must, how else you would get the experience as a visitor to the country?! The hotel employees are wonderful, we had so pleasant stay for their hard work!

Excellent breakfast with high variety of products, 2 pools one inside and one outside, clean all the areas and rooms. Nigh time activities.

The main problem at the facility is the Parking, When I booked the place, was offer free parking for hostages, but there ara a reduce number of parking lots, and few times I was needed to park outside the hotel, and be aware about the time, for the parking pay stations.

The hotel is comfortable and has a nice view facing the sea and city. Staff are generally friendly and helpful. The rooms are spacious and the bathrooms very good. The hotel is kept in excellent condition and cleaning is thorough. Bar area is very nice. Location is good, walking distance to both harbour and town centre. Close to several good restaurants.

Breakfast was varied but surprisingly there were a couple of things that could be better. They serve a type o imitation bacon that is weird and fruit juices are not up to the standard of the rest of the buffet. Parking is limited and created a weird situation: When we arrived, the receptionist told us we should leave our car in front of the hotel as the garage was full. There were several cars there. Two days later, when places became available in the underground garage, instead of letting us know and asking us to move the car, someone in reception called the rental company and complained our car had been stopped in front of the hotel for two days. This was awkward and perfectly avoidable.

The staff was exceptional, the rooms and hotel in general are clean, comfortable and so beautiful. The breakfast had lots of food to choose from and the hotel also offers loads to activities you can book directly with them to do during your stay in Madeira which I didn't get to do because I had already pre-booked all of my activities beforehand. I could still use the poolside after checking out and use the spa facilities to get ready for my flight later that evening which was really kind of them.

The coffee at breakfast wasn't great and the entrance to the toilets by the pool could be a bit nicer and cleaner

Immaculate and spacious room with a great view over the sea. The breakfast is buffet type with big selection of both continental and English breakfast choices. The staff was very friendly and when we asked for it they could offer a very early breakfast. The location is great, quite close to the centre and to a lot of connecting bus lines.

Even though the sauna was listed as a facility, it was closed down due to Covid. Unfortunately, this was not communicated in advance neither on the booking site or once booked in an email, so it felt as a bit of a let down. On the 5th floor where we were, the noise of traffic could be heard, specially at night.
