Everything was great, ultra clean, they did daily cleaning, everyone was super friendly, anything is solved super fast, superb experience. Location is very central. I really don't see how it could have been better for us and what we were looking for. Beds are super comfortable. Room had really ultra high ammount of space. Kitchen is really fully equiped (except for oven which is probably the only thing that you don't have).

Take note that the pool is not heated as listed somewhere - I don't think that anyone wants to go in pool in December/January, but if that's the only reason why you are coming, you should reconsider. The area is somewhat limited in access for cars and quite steep, so it might be difficult for disabled people to enjoy to the fullest here. Nearby we saw some homeless people but nobody did any type of harm, there are a lot of homeless people in Portugal in general.

The location of PipaD'Oro is fantastic, right at the heart of the historical center, yet quiet, Walking distance to Duoro river, close to shops, cafes, restaurants. The pool is small but cozy, with amazing views over Porto. The breakfast was delivered to the room every morning and it significantly exceeded our expectations. Loads of food, fresh, tasty, all you might need and want and more. Just great! Last, but not least, the staff was fantastic, accommodating, nothing was of a problem, everyone very polite, with a lot of local knowledge, sort of calm, unassuming hospitality. Special shout out to Nicolau and Diogo, we had amazing time, thank you!

I had to think very hard to put any comment here and the only one I can think of is lack of chairs at the balcony. that's all. didn't bother us too much but would be a nice addition to have a small table and chairs outside.

The hotel was beautiful. The staff, reception area and views from the room, with the Pool area being the best of the lot. Lovely to come back to on a hot afternoon for some relaxation after a day exploring the city. Staff couldn't be more helpful. Rooms are big, clean, safe and quiet. Would recommend to anyone and would definitely stay here again. Close to some really nice restaurants, and very close to other parts of the city.

The sofa bed. The only thing stopping us giving this a 10 rating was the sofa bed (for my 13 year-old daughter). This really needs replacing in the room we stayed in. It was impossible to sleep on. Noisy/creaky whenever you moved, and the springs/poles sticking through the mattress. She couldn't sleep which meant I had to on the last night, resulting in little sleep for myself. A Shame because the rest of the hotel is gorgeous, and it would have been a 10 if there was only 2 of us and not needing the sofa bed.

Nic was extremely friendly, informative and helpful throughout our stay. The interiors of the property were finished to a high finish throughout. Apartment had a calm relaxed, quiet atmosphere. Amazing location in the old town, lots of attractions and amenities a short walk away.

The exterior areas were shabby compared to the high finish of the interiors. The pool areas needed a revamp. The "Garden" that our apartment had access to was abysmal. All of the furniture needs to be replaced. Our apartment was not in the main building where the pool was, it was across the road. I don't think it was advertised as this.

Incredible river view with balcony that overlooked pool, comfortable bed, kitchenette, and great location - all was within walking distance so no need to use public transportation. Also had an elevator and a restaurant downstairs. Learned you can reserve for a breakfast but need to do so in advance.

Strong sewage smell emanating from bathroom (informed front desk after checking in and was told she would check to see if it was outside of the normal- she tried to blame it on river tides but it was constant throughout our stay). Maybe it was the plumbing since shower floor was bouncy like walking on a trampoline. The floor didn’t bother us, just the smell.

Helpful and friendly staff. Apartment was large and very clean. Advertised amenities were mostly present. Very good location. Breakfast was delivered every morning and was very good. We enjoyed our stay very much.

One suggestion would be to include some type of wardrobe or shelving unit so suitcases could be unpacked. That may not be necessary for a short stay but certainly would be for a longer one. There was plenty of space in the room where a storage unit could have been placed. Also, from the room description, we believed we would have a balcony, but instead there was a small patio that was too small to sit on. Perhaps, the room description could be a bit clearer in reference to that aspect. Still we enjoyed a beautiful view of Porto by opening the patio doors and placing our chairs in front of them.

Perfect location with great view from the room window or the Pool Terrasse to the river and the famous steel bridge. Super nice hotel staff and the pool was great to cool down after the challenging up- and downhill city walks.

At our balcony was a hot air stream coming out from a chimney, so the most of the time you couldn‘t use the balcony which was pretty sad. This is neither mentioned in the room description nor were we informed by the hotel staff. The water tank from the coffee machine had mold which was switched immediately after a short cleaning room staff conversation.

Great location near just about everything. Surprisingly quiet and great views of the city from our balcony. Shower has nice water pressure. Keyless entry is a bonus. Staff were very friendly and responsive.

The WiFi was fairly unusable, and certainly not suitable for a virtual meeting. I could barely check my email. The room itself was comfortable but is in need of a few repairs to the floorboards. Stay here if you’re looking for a comfortable budget option walkable to everything, but stay elsewhere if you need internet connectivity.

This is a very well located apartment, easy walk to many attractions/sights. Code access out of hours was very easy. The pool area and the view from our apartment were fantastic. There was enough room on our balcony for two chairs, which isn't the case for all apartments I don't think. While much of the process is virtual, during reception hours there is always someone there and the two hosts we met were friendly and helpful, without being overbearing. We were able to store our luggage in their sight and to relax by the pool on check out day. This isn't a cheap option, but we were very glad we went for it as it was a highlight of our holiday and therefore we felt it was value for money.

Next to the balcony is a plant room with a louvre door. Heat escapes from this louvre some of the time, albeit it tended to be off when I wanted to sit outside in the sun and helped with drying swimwear! Something to note is that the apartment is divided to separate the sitting area/sofa bed kitchen and the area where the double bed is. There is no wall or door to the bed area, it is effectively a large partitioned studio. This was fine for us, because we travelled as a family, but if you travelled with friends or older family it is something to bear in mind both for changing and for different bed times. Could do with a full length mirror.

The apartment was spotless. We were met at the entrance to the apartments and he helped us take our luggage to the room. We then went to reception to check in and he gave us all the info and a map of the city. He then told us where to park the car for the whole of our stay. Which was safe and secure and at a discount as it was through the accommodation. The apartment was clean and spacious. It was touch coded pad which is ideal-no need to carry a key around. The pool and surrounding area was lovely to relax in. We didn't eat here. We had no faults and would highly recommend.
