Nothing really, I think the ventilation in bathroom could be better

Really brilliant hotel, lovely decor, clean and great room facilities.

Breakfast was horrendous. We left after 1.5hrs because the food still hadn’t arrived.

We had a great stay at The Halyard. The hotel is in an excellent position to explore Liverpool, it's a nice walk down to the centre of town plus the Dock area. Also close by are both cathedrals, The Baltic Triangle and Chinatown, as well as Lime Street and Liverpool Central train stations. The rooms were comfortable, and very quiet at night. They also provided a good selection of teas, coffee and some biscuits - I only wish I had the time to use these even more, as we were mostly out and about. The staff were very service-minded and attentive to our needs, helping us with tips and answering our questions. There was a very nice atmosphere all around the hotel, in the reception, bar and breakfast/restaurant area. The breakfast was excellent, with good quality products. Very nice to be served the main part of breakfast, with different choices and possibilities to subtract or add/mix according to personal preferences.

Nothing to dislike!

Very modern hotel situated close to the centre of the city so shops and the Cathedrals are within walking distance. The reception area is lovely with a lounge area attached where you can relax and have drinks. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful and nothing was too much bother for them. The room was warm, comfortable, clean, and had all the usual little touches to make your stay enjoyable. The shower was a good size and a bathrobe, slippers, hairdryer, shampoo etc was all provided. There was a tea/coffee machine with some biscuits, which was very welcome when returning to my room after being out all day. A big TV opposite the large cosy bed made viewing very comfortable. I liked the bedside tables with reading lights and phone charger. Overall the hotel is beautiful and the staff should be very proud of the high standard of service they provide their customers

What I didn't like is that the hotel is directly opposite a pub which was very noisy... I was in a room that faced onto the street, and on the weekend I was there, it continued until around 3.30 am. There is nothing that the hotel can do about this, but bear it in mind when booking. I would also say that the hotel could improve on its food. I dined in the restaurant on my first night there to find that it was a Tapas menu only. I had crispy Thai fishcakes (very soggy), garlic prawns 2 full prawns in their shells (in my opinion not good value as there was little meat by the time I dissected them) and the triple fried chips. I decided to dine in the city centre on my second night.

The staff were really friendly and helpful. It's in a great location within walking distance of Albert Dock and Liverpool One and there are some nice bars and eateries around the hotel. There's an amazing Italian bakery a bit further down the road. The hotel was spotlessly clean throughout and the facilities were very good. It is opposite a lively outdoor bar at the back where our room was, so if you're noise-averse you might struggle, but we didn't find it too bad. The only niggles were that the room was a bit too warm (even with the climate control...the fans didn't seem to make loads of difference) and the car park is a 5 min walk away which isn't far, but if you've a lot to carry might take a few trips. Apart from this it was excellent and we would definitely stay here again next time we are in Liverpool.

Friendly welcoming and helpful staff, good room, thoughtfully done (mini fridge, air con, additional floor level light in bathroom so as not to wake partner during nocturnal bladder trip!, blackout curtains, propper clothes hangers and not the awful tethered offerings, separate pegs to hang wet coats by door - all simple little things that many hotels fail miserably on) comfy bed. Breakfast was good, full cardiac arrest English, and "continental" selection were good. Good coffee and tea (though orange juice was not the best). Will definitely stay here again when in Liverpool. All staff encountered were excellent, helpful and friendly.

From the front of house team welcome through to the bar and restaurant brigade, all of the staff provided first class fabulous service with a smile - their can do/nothing is a problem attitude and approachability whilst remaining professional at all times was fabulous. Every member of the team we interacted with exceeded expectations. The room (Premium Deluxe) and facilities (Bath Robes, Slippers, Fluffy White Bath Sheets, Large Bed, Toiletries etc were spot on, clean and well stocked (incl. Fridge with water/Juice/milk etc). A very comfortable stay, convenient location for city centre and taxi pick up/drop off etc. We would not hesitate to recommend and return ourselves. We booked Half Board and it was excellent value for money.

Nice, clean rooms that felt very comfortable. Location is great with the hotel being very close to the Albert Dock, but it's is also very close (almost in) the "party" district which can be off-putting if you're not into that.

The breakfast was somewhat limited. You get to select one option from an "à la carte" menu with only a few options (i think it was like 4 entries), but anything else is limited. For example the selection of fruits was almost non-existent. Located close to a lot of pubs and bars and as such Friday and Saturday night you'll se a lot of obviously drunk people around (we've arrived at the hotel late at night and the first thing we saw was a person spilling the content of their gut right in front of the entrance). It's not the fault of the hotel, but it's something that people need to be aware when booking.

Thw location was good for the event we went to, the staff were excellent especially on reception. The 2 men were exceptionaly helpful and friendly and did all they could to get us a taxi when it was very busy as there was a football match on at the sazme time. We had a meal in the bar as we could not get into the restaurant as it was closed when we wanted to eat so we did not expect the food to be as good in the bar but we were pleased with the food we had it was delicious. Our room was very spacious, ultra modern and the bed exceptionaly comfortable. I would definately chose one of your hotels again. Please pass on my comments to the staff. Plus the breakfast was delightfull and especially I appreciated not having to serve myself with the main meal which you dont get in many hotels at breakfast.

I didnt like having a mug when I had a capppuccino I expected it to be in a cappuccino cup and saucer.
