Great to have onsite parking. Room and Ensuite were very comfortable with lots of provisions to make your stay better, eg shampoo and body wash, face cloths, cotton wool, glasses and bottle of water plus usual tea/coffee/biscuit facilities plus fresh milk in a fridge on the landing. Also a very comfortable guests’ lounge is available. We didn’t use it on this occasion, but if you were staying for a few days, this would be a great place to relax other than your room. Nicole and Malcolm are great hosts, friendly. Great selection for the breakfast, cooked to order - you won’t go hungry!
A later breakfast slot would be good, especially at the weekends.

The location was easy to find with off road parking. After dark the area around the house was well lit.It was quiet at all times of the day and night. Our breakfasts were freshly cooked, hot and Malcolm was a good breakfast host.Nicole welcomed us and gave us all the information we needed for our stay, including recommending an excellent restaurant close by for dinner that night. Wigtown is the book capital of Scotland and Craigmount is an excellent example which involves the guest in books. The house was furnished with books and there were well chosen books in the room we used that were inviting and beautifully displayed. We would readily recommend staying there especially during book week.

The B&B is lovely, super close to the center of Wigtown so you can explore all the bookshops around. The rooms are themed and so well thought through. The breakfast is delicious and you can pick what you want. The hosts will give you recommendations and are up for a chat - which is amazing! You'll need a car to get by and you best book your dinners ahead to make sure you know where you're going as it's a quiet area, but amazing to exlore the coast and/or Galloway Forest Park.

Lovely couple Nicole and Malcolm who made us very welcome and made the effort to communicate with us, being deaf aware, We were made comfortable, nice bedroom and the breakfast was delicious, plenty of choice to choose.
The area was quiet at night time, no restaurants or pub open. We had a take away fish and chips, and Nicole kindly set up the table for us in the dining room, even provided vinegar! We had our own bottle of wine. It was a nice evening.

Very good Scottish breakfast, good choice and as much as you want. Clean house throughout, tastefully decorated and themed. Helpful welcoming hosts. Very good selection of teas and coffee with biscuits in the room.
The room was a little small because an en-suite has been squeezed in, but as it is and older building converted to a guest house it’s perfectly acceptable. Would definitely recommend it.

I stayed at Craigmount for 2 nights, and I will definitely be back. Nicole and Malcolm are fantastic hosts, the rooms are spotlessly clean and have everything you could need, and the breakfast and supper was delicious. The location of the B&B is great, just a short walk from Wigtown’s bookshops, and I was glad to have the ability to park off the road too.
Nothing! I was delighted with my stay.

A very quiet and surprisingly atmospheric town. I have only the most pleasant impressions. it's a pity that I was only in the house for one night (the second night I also stayed in the town, but it was busy, but they helped me find another accommodation and even drove me to it in the morning). A very creative idea with book-style room design in the most bookish of the small towns I've been to. in general, I had long dreamed of visiting it after reading the famous diary about the life of the bookstore owner. Breakfast is also better than you can imagine. in fact, everything you need for a good start to the day.
everything is fine. I wouldn't even be able to remember that there was such a thing

The breakfast was a great start to the day. We were well looked after and given good advice about places to visit and changing the time of our ferry because of local road works. Our host was disappointed that my husband carried his own case down to the car! The old manse has been beautifully re-modelled, with each room themed and tastefully decorated. We were able to use the garden. We would return any time and can't speak too highly of this B&B and the lovely couple who run it.
Can't think of anything.

Beautiful house in an excellent location for touring around Dumfries and Galloway. Very comfortable traditionally decorated house complemented by friendly helpful hosts. Breakfast was excellent and parking available outside the house. Wigtown book town is a lovely village well worth a visit not only for books but also coffee and cakes! Hope to return soon.
