Amazing location - so close to Ground zero and the Brooklyn Bridge crossing. A really vibey hotel bar with ace DJs. It felt safe. Modern and fun. There’s also an INCRED foot spa place next door, where you can get a great foot rub at a great place!

I found the reception staff a bit clueless! Although the porter/doorman was on it & very helpful in calling cabs. The reception also smells of gas! Like a gas leak, which I mentioned to reception and got no response! You have to ask room service to clean/freshen your room. And although they leave a small bottle of water in the room, tea & coffee making facilities would be nice. I really liked the hotel, but didn’t love it!

For starters, my better half and I were amazed by the customer service upon entering the hotel. We were greeted by a Mr. Steven. Very friendly and made us feel very comfortable as my better half is not from New York. She’s from Florida. She was apprehensive at first about being in NY City. But prior to coming we read and shared reviews, but when the associate at the desk Steven introduced himself and thanked us for being a member of the Bonvoy family she felt relieved. He made sure we had a good room, explained to us where everything was and offered us Champagne. Not used to that, we felt safe and more importantly, the location of the hotel is convenient to everything transportation, tourism, food, the bar on the 3rd floor, the menu for food, breakfast and all day food was amazing. Room service was wonderful and very friendly. I love that the hotel is family friendly. Very, very clean. I loved our room and the views (room 1710). We would stay here again, next time bring our teen boys. Last but not least, thank you again to Mr. Steven for making our stay safe and very comfortable and by the way we loved the boat around to Statue of Liberty….Cheers and looking forward to staying at the hotel soon before summers end….

It would be wonderful if there was instructions how to use the Bluetooth round speaker mounted on the wall next to the tv. The Bang and Olufsen speaker. That was a challenge even for staff. But that was. Minor huddle.

The room was clean and large; the bed and linens were a dream. Such great sleep! There wasn't much noise, except a few times guests let their doors slam shut. The bar/restaurant was convenient- only 2 vegan items on the menu, but the cocktails were made well (try the Slam Dunk!). The elevators take a long time. So, if there are a lot of guests, it can take several minutes to get out of the hotel or up to your room. Malick and Brittany went above and beyond! From dealing with a lobby full of frustrated guests, helping me with luggage, attending to my (and other guests) endless questions, recommending services, etc... a smile and a kind word was always present with them. They made what could have been a stressful trip much easier and more manageable! Malick even offered, then helped, walk my luggage down the street when construction cut off my Lyft driver from reaching the hotel!

Upon entering the lobby, which is really just a foyer, it was dirty, hot, and smelled stale. There's no ventilation/air. And the poor staff didn't have seats. Not indicative of the great space and atmosphere upstairs. Also, the elevators didn't have any A/C so it wasn't the most pleasant when full of guests.

I like how we were welcomed by Jada she checked us in very friendly and very informative about what things to do in New York..Jose omg he's beyond Awesome every Hotel should have a José he's funny I felt safe as he makes you feel safe very informative respectful and funny. Because of Jose we will be coming back..Thank you Jose for going beyond your title..Even this morning before leaving it was important for us to tell him how greatful we were for him..Big Shout Out to Jose he's Dominican where's the fisherman's hat in black 🖤 love it..The Moxy is a fun place good music free access to the gym and they have a 🏀 basketball hoops for free ..

One thing and only thing I didn't like was we were at the bar and the bartender was ignoring us Saturday night the 5th he was talking to his coworker a young lady and was ignoring us for 20 minutes kept looking ar my husband as he's African American and ignored us completely my husband experiences this way to much because he's black and that how he felt..sad unexetable finally we said hey we were 20 minutes into waiting girl says my hands our just put the moxy chip to pay there and went on with their conversation..as we checked out today we did let Jada know and she gave us an in encentive and apologized for the bartender..Jose felt bad we were treated like this and said I am sorry you guys had to experience this while your stay ..I said Jose because of you we will be back..

Moxy Downtown hotel exceeded my expectations during my stay. The service was outstanding, starting with a warm welcome and a glass of champagne upon check-in. The complimentary welcome drink and breakfast added a special touch. The lobby is remarkable, featuring a stunning glass ceiling that bathes the space in natural light. It offers various entertainment options like video games and skee ball, along with a spacious bar and seating area perfect for co-mingling or remote working. The DJ's music selection was impressive. Although the room was small, it was impeccably clean and comfortable. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and would happily return on my next visit to NYC. I must commend the staff for their exceptional assistance in locating my checked-in luggage when I misplaced my baggage tag. Kudos to the entire team!

The design of Moxy is modern yet relatable to my generation. I’m in my 40’s and yet it’s social area is fun for all ages. The room was nice and comfortable.

I didn’t like that there was not a coffee maker in the room. We went to Target and bought a coffee maker. Also, it took a long time for our breakfast to get served to us. On the final day of our trip the staff simply forgot about our order. I recommend to use table numbers so the staff can identify who is still waiting for food/drinks. Regardless, the staff was apologetic and professional once they realized the error and then the food came out not to long after. Had we been in a rush it would have been an issue.

Comfy Bed, clean cool bathroom, excellent location for my business travel, very nice staff, cool room temperature, wifi, bar/basketball court and gym.

Hotel system rejected my 2 valid visa debit cards and strange they do not accept US dollars. I have to call a friend for help and come late evening to Moxy and use his credit card. I've been to several countries before but I never experienced denial of visa debit cards and non acceptance of US dollars for my hotel accommodation.

I loved this hotel! We were looking for a quick place to rest on an overnight layover. This is really far from the JFK airport, but it was worth it. Beautifully decorated. The rooms are perfect size for two travelers. Thoughtful toiletries left. I appreciated the plastic wrapped cup (maybe a more sustainable option could work) because I knew it was clean to use. The lobby area turns into a lounge/ social area at night but we didn't hear any music in our room. This was a great place! I would stay again

However, the next day after check in, another manager at the front desk named Elyce was very polite, quickly fixed everything, gave a superior room with an amazing view of the Brooklyn Bridge, for which she is very grateful!

Terrible experience at the time of check-in at the hotel at the front desk. The staff was very rude and put me in front of the fact that the room that I booked and paid for was allegedly unavailable. They gave me a worse room and didn't offer any alternative. This was very disappointing.

The location was great and the amenities in the location was so convenient. The connections to the attractions made the stay more pleasant. Most of the staff were friendly and helpful. In particular Alysse Baez was quite supportive, friendly and kind.

Overall kind of felt a bit of lingering smell in the facility ... During the 3 nights stay, no single time the room was cleaned, though promoted to Clean.
