It was in a quite neighborhood, however very close do Villa Nova de Gaia and the historic center. The owner was a really great guy, always smiling and willing to do the best for you. Breakfast very very rich and tasty, I spend almost two hours there. In addition, there was a welcome wine drink and some chocolates in the room as well as fresh water.

Even the room was spacious, the wc was tiny and the shower was actually in the room. The floor and some parts were not 100% clean.

Portugese people are so friendly and helpful. our hosts in a hotel were no exception. Thank you Antonio and Sara for all your hospitality. Hotel location is the best for visiting Porto, 5 min walk to Luis 1 bridge, Cathedral 15 min and Livralia Lello 25 min. Every evening people were watching sunset over river so hotel location was great to attend. The hotel is rather small but feels like home, clean, with all comfortable facilities, bed and spacious shower. Very good breakfast in the morning prepared by Sara. Would recommend to everybody for any length of stay. Thanks again

We caught an early flight so it was too early for the scheduled breakfast. Instead, we were left with easy to travel breakfast items in the room the night before so that we could still have breakfast in the morning. The Sir who checked us in was waiting for us even though we were slightly early. He was exceptionally pleasant and gave a restaurant suggestion that was decidedly the best meal of our 2 week tour of Portugal and Amsterdam. He also booked our transit to the airport and communication was top notch from start to finish. Also to note, the room was very clean and smelled fresh, and waiting for us was each a glass of wine and a chocolate.

A small hotel located perfectly for visiting all the Port-wine cellars in Villa Nova de Gaja and also for Porto old town. The central station in Porto is just a 25 minute walk away. At the hotel we had a very warm welcome, the staff is great and the breakfast very nice and cosy. The rooms provide more than enough space to stay a week and everything is nice and clean. The hotel is located a couple hundred meters away form the busy main road so it is nicely silent most of the time especially over night. HIGHLY recommend!!!

The main highlight were the staff who were very kind and helpful. We appreciate their individual approach and friendly atmosphere. The room was clean the bed was large and comfortable. Our room was cleaned every day and we were given clean towels every day. The breakfasts were excellent, we got fresh scrambled eggs, coffee and juice every morning and had a choice of sweet or savory breakfast. The location was great, only a 5 minute walk from the metro stop and the Jardim do Morro gardens which had a great view of the river and bridge. We were really satisfied.

Clean, fair price, very good breakfast. Not far from the city center, the fact that you have to cross the Louis I bridge every time to get to the accomodation is probably the best part. Also friendly and helpful staff!

The heating in the room was not functioning as we arrived. Nevertheless they fixed this problem during the first day so it didn't turned up to be a problem

Lovely hosts and very comfortable stay, they even made us a takeaway breakfast on the day of our departure as we had an early flight.

What a gem of a place to stay. Antonio and his team are the perfect hosts without being intrusive. Nothing is too much trouble. Cleanliness is of the highest standard, the location is perfect, a few minutes walk from the cable car & bridge. Breakfast is beautifully served, all freshly selected with a choice of fruits, meats, cheese, breads, yoghurts and eggs just how you like them cooked. The coffee is delicious, freshly squeezed juice and water are freely available. The rooms are spacious, modern and very tastefully decorated and the complimentary toiletries are worthy of mention. A lovely welcome touch was a small decanter of Port and chocolates. Thank you so much for a wonderful stay, we will return. :)

The room was large, well organized and we were provided with a small but lovely bottle of port wine and mineral water. The bed was huge and the pillows and mattress were very comfortable! The staff (particularly Antonio) were very helpful and available when needed. The bath linens, soaps, moisturizer, bath gel were all very high quality. Fantastic location! On our final day, we had to catch a bus early and they provided us with a lovely to-go breakfast. A fantastic stay all around!

The TV in the room was not smart, which was a bit disappointing! Otherwise nothing bad to say!

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Serra do Pilar Porto Suites  in Porto for the first time, and I have nothing but positive things to say about my experience. From the moment I arrived, the staff went above and beyond to make me feel welcome and at home. Their warmth and friendliness really stood out to me, and it set the tone for my entire stay. The room itself was spotlessly clean and tidy, and I would say it easily rivaled the quality of a four-star hotel. The attention to detail was evident in everything from the decor to the amenities provided. I felt very comfortable and relaxed during my stay. The breakfast that was served each morning was absolutely delicious and plentiful. The staff members who greeted me each morning were always so friendly and eager to help in any way they could. I really appreciated the care they took to ensure that everything was to my liking. Overall, my experience at this hotel was truly perfect. I can't thank the staff enough for their exceptional hospitality and for making my stay so enjoyable. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Porto and would love to stay here again in the future.
