Excellent location, easy access to funicular, walking distance to many restaurants by the river and excellent views of the bridge. Susana was very helpful in tracking down the bag - which we accidentally left in the cab. Excellent host.

Only suggestion - Please have a different codes for the main entrance and apartment.

We came from Bristol at 9:00 a.m. on a Saturday and the staff were brilliant and allowed us to check in early. So we had the apartment from 11:00 even though check-in should be 3:00. So very helpful staff couldn't recommend them more. Their communication before and during was great too. The location is excellent. The apartment complex is great for city breaks and there was also a safe for belongings.

Be aware of the top floor apartment, with the terrace at the back is quite dark. Great to have two bathrooms but if there were more than two people staying there's only a small sofa to sit on downstairs.

The unit we had was spacious. The air conditioning worked efficiently. The kitchen had a good variety of plates, bowls, pots, and pans. It was easy to stock up on some food and prepare a few meals in the apartment. There is a cafe and a restaurant just a couple doors down for other casual meals or snacks.

The apartment is at the river level of the city. It is fun to watch the boat traffic. Plus, it is convenient to the night scene near the base of the big bridge (the former city docks area). That is great. But the Cathedral and other attractions are uphill. The Funicular dos Guindais is close by. It is worth the 4 Euro for the ride up!

- layout is a bit tricky, area around the spiral stairs a bit of hazard - be aware of the spiral stairs and wide gaps between slats. if you have young children , need to actively monitor them. would have been great to have some baby gates of some sort but I also don't expect the apt to cater to everyone.

The location is great! We liked being down by the river with a gorgeous view of the monastery. It means having to climb up the stairs each time you want to go to the old downtown area but we didn't mind that. Everything is quite close and can mostly be reached by foot. The apartment is decorated tastefully and has all the basics one may need. We felt cozy there - except for the ants (see below).

The apartment wasn't quite as fancy as the pictures made it seem, e.g. the shower and the basin were leaking a bit and one of the handles of the bathroom drawers kept coming off. Our main issue was that we had ants in the house. And communication with the hosts was a bit confusing, they used a couple of different WhatsApp numbers.

Great location, renewed building, there’s an elevator which is not that often. Even though it’s close to very busy touristic area, it was very quiet ( hill oriented apartment ). Perfect after a long day full of activities.

As it’s on the river bank and oriented towards the hill, there is not a lot of sunlight and it’s quite humid in the apartment. If you plan to spend days inside or to iron your hair straight just don’t. Kitchen shelves and headboard of the bed were visibly dusty.

The amazing view, the location, the elevator, the spankingly new, clean and modern apartment. We can't say enough, we loved staying there. Good restaurants are near too.

Perhaps, the 2nd floor of our apartment needs a ceiling fan or an air circulator. The 1st floor was so cold but it couldn't reach the 2nd floor. Otherwise, it was a perfect apartment for our short Porto stay. Will definitely book again if given a chance to visit Portugal and Porto to be specific.

The property has the most beautiful view of the bridge and river from the bedroom windows! It’s the reason I booked and it did not disappoint! The location is also really closely situated to the many great restaurants in the Ribiera. The beds were also super comfy and the black out blinds were also so great in the mornings as the room was pitch dark. I didn’t mind the walk up to see the rest of Porto as others have reviewed as it’s good exercise :) Uber is also super accessible near the apartment and you can easily get where you want for a very low cost. It was a bonus we could leave our luggage in the apartment as well on the day we left prior to our flight! We enjoyed our stay very much at Oporto Trendy River! Obrigada!

There were some issues with our key code not working on both the front door and also the front gate door. There was also an issue with the front gate locking. Ultimately these issues were addressed but it was bothersome to need to contact the hosts every time via whassap when we couldn’t get into our apartment and also had a bit of a loss of peace of mind. Sometimes these things happen though so I understand. Hopefully it is resolved now for future travellers!

Fantastic location overlooking the Douro River and the Dom Luis I Bridge. Stylish interior and fabulous views from window. Only a few minutes walk to the Ribeiro restaurants. Very helpful host who arranged a taxi at short notice for us. Well equipped kitchen. Our teenagers really liked the swing chair in the top bedroom. Nice to have washing machine for clothes.

Small detail - could have done with more clothes hangers in wardrobes.

The location and size of property was really good. Easy to find and check in and fairly easy to find parking in the area.

The beds were very firm. There were no written instructions for the washing machine and I couldn’t tell if it was a duel washer/dryer??? Instructions would have been nice. Also a list of local places to eat in the flat would have been helpful.
