The hotel is located right on the beach, the room had excellent views from our private balcony. The staff was phenomenal and very accommodating. Heated floors was a huge hit with us! The turn down service at night was beautiful with a great surprise awaiting you in the room.

The dinner that is included in the room price, was adequate. The portions are huge and lack luster compared to the beautiful ambience and wonderful service.

The mesmerising views were breathtaking and ideal for an exclusive romantic getaway. Elegant and spacious rooms, exquisite furnishings, bedding, and toiletries. A perfect blend of 5-star boutique hotel facilities, personal service, a charming knowledgeable manageress, and super friendly and efficient staff that makes you feel like family. It stormed throughout the night and we woke up to a warm fireplace, with breakfast overlooking the balcony, sea, mountains, and sky. A delicious selection of English and hot breakfast. Highly recommended ❤️

Love Love Love it !!! This is our 3rd visit ! The staff make you feel like you are part of their family, they are so warm and friendly. During Breakfast "Antie Ria" & her kitchen staff takes special care of you, everything is fresh & delicious. Dinner time is a real treat with magical views... surfers..... people walking their dogs and the calm waves breaking onto the white soft sand of long beach. Absolutely breathtaking !! The entire dinner menu is made with care. Pool area overlooks the beach. The balcony on the first floor is great for a cozy chat & cocktails, followed by a long walk on the beach where you can see an old shipwreck and beautiful mountains cuddling the bay. Special thank you to Jackie & Fanie they make you feel right at home. Brendon and the rest of staff are of great help. The whole team works well together.

What in amazing experience from top to bottom. Jackie and her staff are absolutely the difference makers and there is no special requests unfulfilled. The accommodation are only 6 well appointed and thought out guestrooms with every creature comfort you would expect from a five-star boutique anywhere in the world. Not only do you have one of the most magnificent views, and a wonderful beach, to watch surfers, and the four-legged friends but the main dining/lounge and ocean front patio offer a setting that instantly sets you at ease. We were so pleased with our stay at the last word, and are excited to return in the future. stunning beach front location,

Disappointed with the room, as it was very tired in certain areas for example, bathroom shower needed re grouting wash hand basin tap loose, bathtub plug rusty, cupboards and woodwork chipped some decorations stained Bad smell outside our room number 2 ( drains) Although the quality of the food was excellent the menu was the same for both nights also no wine buckets so warm wine and also only water bottles put on the table this was also warm. Although breakfast was good there was no breakfast menu and only realised as we were leaving the table that a cooked hot breakfast option was available. service was a bit hap hazard

Brandon, our gracious host, was always readily available to cater to our needs. Both him and Fani provided exceptional service that left a lasting impression. The Chef also added to the excellence of our experience.

My mother and sister are not seafood lovers so the menu was very limited for them. I understand that the place promises the greatest seafood experience however I did not think that the menu will just be that.

By far the best outlet we stayed in during our trip in South Africa and one of the best we ever visited. Wonderful location, fantastic food, attentive and kind staff and great facilities. Long beach is a great hub to discover Cape Peninsula & surrounds. We were spoilt throughout our stay, with one surprise after the other from the team who truly made this stay memorable. Everything was amazing. The friendliness of the staff to the picture perfect view, good food and beautiful room. Attention to detail by the staff was exceptional. They made us feel so special with our wedding anniversary. Best place by far to stay if you want a beach break.

Our stay at The Last Word was absolutely exceptional. We loved every minute of it. Fanie and his team are fantastically friendly and welcoming. The room was perfect, gorgeous views and the food was absolutely delicious and beautifully presented. We wish we could have stayed longer but are already planning our next visit.
