The place is located about 20 mins by car from Cradle Mountain visitor center - quite central and value for money especially during the peak season. It has 4-5 individual studio cottage units next to a cafe run by the same owners besides a large picturesque open grass field. Anita and her family were very warm - Anita welcomed us in person, showed the place around and guided us well. The cafe has good food options but more than the food, genuinely caring and attentive owners. The cottage itself is a studio with a small kitchen, bed and sofa (convertible to bed) and a spacious bathroom. The place is ideal for 2 people for 2-3 nights stay. Thanks to Anita and family for a memorable stay.

Convenient location near Cradle Mt National Park, pleasant garden setting, spacious room, easy hour walk down quiet forest roadway to a pretty dam.

Information about catering. I was informed that I would need to self cater unless I wanted to book into a restaurant which would require driving at night. On arrival the owner told me that she could provide dinners and breakfast but I already had purchased supplies by this time.

I arrived in the evening when it was dark and was immediately greeted by the friendly host who showed me to my cabin. The cabin was well set-up with all the comforts of home. The location was superb, with lots of nature surrounding .... and the stars were next level amazing! I stayed for 2 nights but wish it had been more!

The walls are very thin and you can hear everything going on in the adjacent cabin, which is a problem when it's after midnight.

The studio was very spacious and well equipped. The bathroom had a bathtub and shower pressure was great. The decor was very pleasant and it made it feel like a true mountain chalet. Food was available for in house guests even when the café was closed.

The carpet could do with a good vacuum and the less utilised areas such as window sills with a good clean.

Described as having kitchenette, but had only microwave, no cooktop, no chopping board and no containers for cooking in microwave. Owner did prepare BBQ plate one night so we could cook sausages.

The units are spacious with good bathrooms. The location is quiet and scenic. We had a very comfortable and pleasant stay. The bathrooms were great, spacious functional and importantly there was plenty of hot water. That is big tick from me. The Lemonthyne Wilderness Retreat some 10 km away is a wonderful dinner option. They were great and we ate there both nights.

Minor maintenance issues. Shelves for TV controls wobbly or missing. Property was dusty so housekeeping was not great and not serviced during stay. It is in the middle of nowhere with limited cooking facility or meals available anywhere nearby.

Close proximity to local attractions. Extra blankets and heating. Lovely soaps and body wash. Lovely little touch. Will keep this accommodation in mind for our next visit.

NO INTERNET!! Arrived after 4. Could not get in contact with property to find out about our accommodation. Had to disturb another guest who had internet to contact the owners.

It is a beautiful chalet in a very quiet neighbourhood. Beautiful pinewood walls inside, very tastefully decorated, beautiful hot shower. It is about 25 minutes away from Cradle Mountain, but with our own transport it was no problem at all.

1. VERY difficult to find. There is ZERO signboard anywhere, We arrived in the evening while it was still light. We had been given instructions how to use GPS to navigate to the property (type in 1120 Cethana Road, Moina) yet it still led us a few kilometres away to the middle of nowhere. We had to backtrack and through sheer luck in the dark (it had grown dark by then) that we finally found the place....right at the junction of the road! A signboard would've really helped. 2. The bed had no electric blanket, and it was -3C for the 2 nights we stayed. Yikes! But it has heating inside the room, which helped tremendously. Electric blanket would've been really fab! If the above 2 items are addressed, then I'd rate it a Wonderful 9.

Good location for Cradle Mountain. The owners are lovely and have only just taken ownership. The room was spotless and cozy, and nothing was too much trouble for Anita. The food from the cafe, also owned by the hosts, is delicious and fresh.

There was anything we didn’t like!

A cosy and quiet getaway! The staff (I believe the new owners) were incredibly lovely, willing to go above and beyond to make my stay comfortable and enjoyable. All amenities were clean and kitchenette was well stocked. Will definitely go back and recommend to others!
