The cabin was "worn in" but very comfortable and the view was incredible. In the afternoon when we arrived a horse, 3 donkeys and a highland cow wandered over to the fence to say hi. The next night 2 chickens came up to the deck door to beg for food scraps (strawberry tops were greatly appreciated) and a couple of pademelon wallabies grazed around the grass by the bottom of the deck. Plenty of spices, oils, sauces etc, pots and pans in the kitchen making it easy to cook up quick meals The washing machine and tumble dryer were appreciated
The place needs some tlc but it didn't take away from the comfortable, homey feeling of our cabin. No dishwasher, but as the cabins are on spring / bore water that was not a surprise.

The location, views and sweet animals are worth a stay, if you can look past the rustic and rundown state of the property. The cabin was very well equipped, warm, comfortable and clean. The views of Mount Roland are spectacular and the animals including baby ducks and chickens were super cute. The cottages are private and far enough apart that you almost feel like you're the only ones there. The staff member was kind and helpful.
The cottages are classic Tassie shacks but sadly are pretty run down and in need of repair, lots of peeling paint and an old/damp smell. There are definitely some people who would not be comfortable here.

The owner was very welcoming and friendly. The cabin had everything you need. The kitchen, bathroom and toilets were squeaky clean. The view across the meadow towards the mountains was beautiful and we enjoyed the many animals around us (a horse, two donkeys, two Scottish Highland cows, many different ducks with ducklings, chicken and a rooster). We also loved the very comfortable beds. The shower/bathroom was spacious and we had the luxury of two toilets.
One bedroom had blinds which didn't close properly and as it was facing East, sleeping in wouldn't have been an option. The flooring and furniture looked dated. The surrounding garden needed a bit more maintenance/care, but it didn't detract from the tranquillity surrounding us otherwise.

We travelled in winter, we were pleasantly surprised by electric blankets, super comfy beds and the best hot water you can hope for! The kitchen is fully equipped with a nice gas heater! The animals on the farm were a highlight for the kids as well as the activity centre! The washer and dryer were useful and two toilets very helpful! We stayed in the T-Tree Cottage!
No dishwasher - but the property is on Bore water and washing up really wasn’t a chore as the family area is close and every one is around!

Great value for money. The cottage was rustic but comfortable and homely, and had more amenities than anywhere else by far. Our own laundry facilities (free), proper coffee maker, rice cooker, a full kitchen and loads of pans stood out in particular. There was plenty of seating for the whole family to be comfortable. The cottages look out over Mt Roland which is a stunning back drop and the kids (and adults) loved saying hi to the resident animals.

fantastic location with Mt Roland just outside the window. The set up feels like you are on your own but with access to playgrounds and sauna, spa and games room. Really good location for adventuring with Tasmazia and Lake Barrington not very far away and also close to Sheffield and Cradle Mountain. Lovely to be greeted by sheep donkeys, horse and highland cows just on the other side of the fence.
Some of the cabinets in the kitchen were falling apart. Make sure you buy groceries before coming as the nearest shop is quite a way off.

Good location for Cradle Mountain, nice view of Mt Roland, lovely farm animals around.
This place has a lot of character, but it’s very old. The floors creak, the wood feels worn, and there are rusted items everywhere. It feels like things could break or fall apart at any moment.

Enough room for a family of three. Restful location with great views. Appreciated the bathroom and laundry facilities after a day trip to Cradle Mountain. WiFi was best outside of metropolitan areas. Bedrooms were cosy, dining and lounge adequate. Donkeys and horse added amusement. Games room had plenty of Play Station games to sift through and table tennis was fun.
Kitchen needs an update of crockery, cookware and cutlery at a minimum. Plenty of all available, but mismatched and worn. An upgrade of the kitchen would be great, a dishwasher would be a huge plus. Games room likewise needs an overhaul, repairing or disposing equipment that no longer works. Plenty of worn out bikes that could be culled or restored to working order.

The best place to stay nearby Cradle Mountain. We stayed two nights, climbed the mountain and explored the neighbourhood. Lots of animals to watch from morning to late night! Very family friendly with lots of activities and all the facilities to enjoy a wonderful stay.

Loved the cows when they came to the fence (and donkeys and horses), and the glow in the dark stars in the ceiling
Water for bath was brown but nothing that could be done about which we understand.
