I recently had the pleasure of staying at "The Washington" hotel in New York and I must say that I was delighted with my stay. The hotel's location is truly excellent, as it is right next to the World Trade Center and therefore in close proximity to many attractions, landmarks and subway stations. This made my stay in the city very easy. There is a large citybike-station directly in front of the hotel. I rented a bike there daily. The room that I stayed in was very clean and well-maintained. I was located on the 10th floor, facing away from the World Trade Center. For me, this was not a problem. I think if one prefers a different view, they can speak to the reception to see if another room is available. My room was spacious and equipped with a fridge, so I felt very comfortable. I slept well and could relax in the room. The only thing I missed was a kettle. The hotel staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful. From the reception to the room service, all employees were very accommodating and tried to make my stay as pleasant as possible. I would like to particularly highlight the housekeeping team, who were extremely kind and thorough. Every day when I returned to the room, everything was neat and clean, which made my stay even more enjoyable. I can highly recommend this hotel without hesitation and will definitely stay here again when I am next in New York.

I would have liked a kettle in my room.

Thought this hotel was great value for money, but we booked well in advance and got a good deal. It has a central lower Manhattan location, an extremely comfortable bed and a great shower. Despite other reviews, we were delighted to have breakfast included and were happy to start each day with bagels, coffee, fruit and yogurt. As NYC is so expensive, this really helped with our budget. We also left our bags for a few hours, without issue, on the day we checked out.

We had some problems with internet, unusual for a city centre location.

Very good location, close to the subway, shops, and One World Trade Center. Our room had a fantastic view, was very spacious. Housekeeping did a very good, fast and secret job.

The whole hotel, the walls and everything is super dark, feels like a cave. Staff was not very polite. Breakfast is at the bar downstairs, basic coffee and bagels, thats all. Not what you expect in a 4 star hotel, but it was included in the room price.

Location was very good, bes was comfy.

No b-fast option, storage of the luggage was paid, which would not be an issue but as lons as the service is paid it should not take as much time to store your bags.

Room was quite big if you compare to other hotels in Manhattan. Perfect location and close to train stations. Excellent area for walking and getting to eg. States Island.

No water kettle in the room. Breakfast was not very healthy. Huge muffins, croissants and bagels are full of wheat and sugar.

Location is amazing, close to subway, rooms are clean with great view on One World Trade center. Room service was very nice. Overall amazing experience.

My review would be 10/10 if they won't charge me for 1st night, one day before my arrival without letting me know. My reservation says, I will pay during check-in, nothing in advance. And during the check-in I was charged extra 20% more for "room deposit", which was never mentioned. Had reservation via booking.com and it says the price is final. I did not expect to pay 120% of the price, if you are travelling on budget, this can be issue for your vacation plans.

The view from our room was amazing, it was a view of the freedom tower, beautiful. Staff were always helpful, polite and friendly. Housekeepers did everything to make our stay safe due to Covid. Shame the bar wasn't open due to Covid, as it is ea lovely space and would have liked to have had the opportunity to chill in the bar. Definitely recommend.

Very little wardrobe and drawer space for 4 people, 2 of us had to live out of our suitcases. However this was the only down side and given the price of the room understandable.

The view from the room was awesome! I could stare at One World Trade all day! The bed was super comfy and the housekeeping staff took great care of us! When we returned to our room after a long day, bed was made, rug vacuumed, and fresh clean towels! Front desk staff was super friendly and validated my parking!! Oh and did I mention the view!?

People always want to complain about the small stuff. I was to happy to care about anything small.

This was an unbeatable location at a great price. Crisp and clean, very nice. Be aware that the showers have matted glass facing the room.

Breakfast could be better. It’s free, though, and there’s enough of it - just a little meh.
