Perfect prime location, professional lovely friendly staff and close by to the ferry, restaurants, supermarket and St Mark Square. I highly recommend this amazing hotel to everyone. I recently had the pleasure of staying at a charming hotel in Venice, perfectly situated near the Biennale, and I cannot recommend it enough. From the moment I arrived, I was greeted with warmth and genuine hospitality by the staff, who went above and beyond to make my stay memorable. The location is absolutely unbeatable. Being so close to the Biennale made it incredibly convenient to immerse myself in the art exhibitions, and the hotel's proximity to other key attractions allowed me to explore Venice with ease. Whether I wanted to wander through the narrow, picturesque streets, take a gondola ride, or visit nearby landmarks, everything was just a short stroll away. The staff truly made my stay exceptional. They were attentive, accommodating, and always ready with helpful recommendations for local restaurants, hidden gems, and the best routes to avoid the crowds. The hotel itself is beautifully maintained, blending classic Venetian charm with comfort. My room was cozy and well-appointed, with thoughtful touches that made it a perfect retreat after a day of exploring. Waking up to a delicious breakfast each morning, featuring fresh pastries and local delicacies, was the perfect way to start my day. With its great location near the Biennale, wonderful staff, and inviting atmosphere, it offers an experience that is both authentic and lovely. I can't wait to return on my next visit!

Nothing negative to report

We recently had an excellent stay at the Ca' Formenta Hotel. The location is unbeatable, especially for art enthusiasts looking to visit the Biennale, and it's also just a short walk from St. Mark's Square and other major attractions. Despite its central location, the hotel was surprisingly peaceful, providing a quiet retreat after a day of exploring. The staff were exceptionally friendly, attentive, and always ready to help with a smile. The breakfast was outstanding, offering a wide variety of choices and ample portions to start the day right. Overall, a wonderful experience that exceeded our expectations.

The perfect place, I mean location, but see below "What didn't you like". It is just around ten minutes of walk to square of Saint Mark. A lot of cafeterias and restaurants around. "Coop" convenient store is nearby, around five minutes of walk, where you can buy almost everything you need. The warmest hotel I visited during my trip to Italy. Really the temperature in room was quite comfortable for January.

It is not an easy task to get from "Stazione di Venezia Santa Lucia" train station to this hotel. You have two options: to walk - it might take around one hour or a bit more; you can take the water tram, it will cost you nine euros per person, the travel time is around thirty minutes.

We were visiting the biennale and this hotel had a perfect location for that. In additon, it is not very far away from the main tourist attractions, but sufficiently far away to avoid the mass crowds of tourists. It is also nice to see the sea when you come out from the hotel. The staff is professional and nice and the breakfast is not fancy but it gives you what you need.

There were no big issues but searching for some it can be mentioned that we had some ants in the room but this is almost to be expected. Another small issue is that the styles of the boiled eggs differed quite a lot at breakfast. Some eggs were soft while others were very hard. I guess different guests prefer different styles. An improvement could be to write a note informing the guests about how the eggs were cooked.

Nice location, close to the water & local restaurants. Easy walk to St Marco Square. Our room was very ornate - fabric walls 😍 New bathroom including bath was very nice.

A few basic commodities in the room would be nice. Jug, coffee cups, wine glasses & corkscrew. Staff very obliging though, so just some friendly suggestions. KOThey do provide a laundry service but be aware they charge quite highly for it. We had a misunderstanding when I asked if they had a service and they said "yes, we can do it" - then a 50euro charge was applied! It is on the info folder in the room which unfortunately we hadn't read before asking. However, they should have been clear when asked about the service, that there was a charge.. Management did apply a discount when the issue was raised which was appreciated 👍

We were 2 adults and a 1 year old child and the venue was perfect for us. We had an upgrade of the room, to one with a view in front of the lagoon, room that was big enough to include the child's bed and had even a sofa. It was very clean, which is always an important factor. The staff was very friendly and willing to solve any additional request that we had. The hotel had even a small elevator that made it easy to go up to our room with the baby's stroller. The location was perfect for us, quite close to San Marco (10 min walk), easy to access with the baby's stroller, 3 parks near the hotel, lots of restaurants and even farmacy an supermarket. Breakfast was thought based on the volume of guests, being a small hotel, but it had a bit of everything. It is a great option to stay at in Venice.

We had a spacious, clean and comfortable apartment (part of the hotel) in Castello, at the start of Via Garibaldi which is close to all amenities , a lovely area, felt very safe and not too crowded with tourists, but yet lively with many choices of where to eat and shop etc. We went slightly off peak (end of March) which for us was a bonus (apart from some heavy rain, but that didn't hinder our experience). It's a short walk from the hotel/apartment to local attractions including San Marco. We spent 4 nights and would have stayed longer if possible. It was nice not having a car in sight, no roads, and travelling by water or walking. If coming from the Marco Polo Airport, get the blue line Alilaguna to Arsenale (€15 one way or €27 round trip/return) and it's a couple of minutes walk from there. There is an option of a water taxi, but we were told it would be €170 one way - couldn't justify that! The nicest place for food was next door to the hotel on the corner. Recommended by the hotel. But there are many options for all tastes.

We were unfortunate with the weather for a couple of days - but that's a gamble you take!

I had previously stayed at Ca Formenta several times in the distant past and loved it. And this stay was just as good as I remembered my past stays were. Best things were - super location with fantastic views - cleanliness of hotel public and bedroom areas - comfy bed - well stocked room bar refrigerator with very reasonably priced drinks - friendly, welcoming, helpful reception staff. - nice fresh basic Continental breakfast, great freshly grounded bean coffee machine - easy access for water buses, shops - beautiful 10 / 15 minute waterfront walk to St Marks Square passing the beautiful Arsenale area on the way - great choice of restaurants, bars, cafes and other eateries very close to hotel - the hotel is located in a very pleasant, relaxing residential area and does not feel at all like the tourist crush found elsewhere in Venice. - nice little area with tables and chairs outside the hotel where in warmer times you can take your breakfast or a drink and watch the world go by.. - good value for money in winter months

- The lift - I got stuck in it once but guess it took staff about 5 minutes to get it working again. - Bedroom was not cleaned / bed made up each day until mid-afternoon - I like an afternoon siesta at my age so my rest was disturbed, but not too much of an issue - Not an issue for me but the bathroom was tiny (but well stocked) - No tea/coffee making facility in room

Room was a little on the small side and was quite dark, it was also very hoot and we would have liked to open a window, but we were next door to an outside passage, so that wasn't very safe. Apart from that is was great being on the ground floor. We would have liked some tea and coffee making facilities in the room. The location is good, plenty going on around there and close to a vaporetto stop. The breakfast was all we needed, plenty of nice bread, parties, yoghurt, fruit and always some nice cake.
