view, room, location, pool, maintenance of property was amazing

there’s no food (except breakfast) and no cocktails at the hotel. you have to order delivery from town, which is not ideal when you want snacks poolside. also the staff are fine, but one male staff (who watches the property at night) sits on the couches and watched us while we were swimming; he was there every night enjoying the space right next to our room, or playing the radio in the kitchen right behind us while we tried to look at the stars. he turned it off when asked, but it really didn’t create a relaxing mood to have him there when we were otherwise the only couple sitting by the pool/and our room.

The property has a spectacular view of the ocean, and it is very quiet, high above the hussle of San Agustinillo. We were confident that it was safe and secure, as it was located at the end of a long driveway and was walled next to the road. The village of San Agustinillo has great restaurants for fish and several choices of beaches, from surf spots to lagoons with no waves at all. The whale watching boat trip was well worth it, so long as you can tolerate high speeds in a small boat over the open waters.

The biggest surprise was the distance to the village and the fact that the only route to the village by foot was along a heavily travelled roadway with no shoulder whatsoever. That meant every trip to the village required a taxi. Often the taxi showed up in 10 minutes, and it cost between 50 and 100 pesos, but getting back to the hotel after dinner was a challenge. One night, we waited at least a half hour before we got a ride. So long as you are aware of this factor, your stay will be gratifying. Also, the staff does not speak English. We were with a fluent Spanish speaker, but without her, we would have had some difficulties communicating.

Casa Cometa has such a breathtaking view, we could sit there forever and just watch the sunset or whales in the below bay. The whole villa is super nice and clean with a great pool. breakfast was good, too. The staff was very attentive and would try to help wherever they could although they don’t speak any English. San Augustinillo is a relaxed, cute little town with not many people on the beach.

We felt a little lost upon our welcome since nobody spoke English and the cleaning lady just brought us to our room. Only after contacting Valeria on booking she was quick to answer our questions. That’s how we even found out there’s breakfast. This is minor but it would make a great difference to the experience to have somebody explain you the details either by mail or other introduction.

Wonderful place, very clean, beautiful pool area with the magnificant view. Delicious continental breakfast for 160 pesos.

We had an uncofortable situation with the guy who works there and who offered us renting a scooter. He tryed to get payed for one scratch which was impossibly made by us, and was very rude when we asked how much money does he want for that by saying that we should check by ourselfs. However, he got the money he wanted, despite it was very unfair and ugly by him. Lession learnd: always take picture of the veichle you're renting.

location location location. great sweeping views of Punta Cometa and San Augustinillo Bay . Room was spacious . Double sinks in our room. Great shower. The staff was very sweet. Front desk and Adolpho especially.

A large balcony. However there was no sun protection so could only sit out in the evening. There were however, all the materials there laying on deck to construct a sun shade so it will obviously be forthcoming. Parking was vey limited and steep. Beware...Google maps took us to the same town but wrong location so don't be surprised if you're not where you think you should be.!

Incredible views over the Pacific. Coffee by the pool in the morning was a highlight for us. We chose to have breakfast in town but breakfast options looked great. It’s roughly a 30 minute sweaty walk to town so perhaps factor that in. Taxis and collectivos are readily available though. The staff were warm, friendly and helpful. Wifi was good

There weren’t many sun loungers by the pool

Staff friendly, comfy beds / rooms, contrary to other commenta no car required Taxis can be arranged although we used Collectivo on numerous occasions

Owner had a.dinner party one night not asked but we felt obliged to vacate pool/ shared area and fortuntely we were going out

1. The view from the room and kitchen was amazing and very relaxing, I stayed in room 5 which had a King size bed and private patio downstairs 2. Pool was excellent-again the view and warm water plus comfortable seats to enjoy. 3. Love the furniture all wood and design just brings you back to life. 4. Kitchen w a view. 5. The room has enough storage and TV 6. Location was perfect for us, to get into town you take collective bus for $10 pesos and it’s five minutes into town. The last ones is around 6:50pm. 7. The staff was wonderful! Adolfo was a sweetheart and always looking out for us and what was needed. Ana Laura was very helpful too.

A few things that didn’t go well in room and second floor floor bathroom. 1. AC was was working however it was leaking while in use which was not great, we did inform the property however it wasn’t fixed in the two days we were there. They gave us extra towels but the sound of leakages was loud. Glad the room has a back up fan that got us through two nights we were there. 2. The bathroom was okay because there’s a shower with no curtain next to the toilette and there’s isn’t enough space between the toilette therefore every time we showered half the bathroom was wet from shower. 3. The lock on bathroom on the second floor was not working from the inside someone had to open the door from outside or you were stuck in the bathroom. Everything else was great.

The house exceed my expectations in terms of view and quietness. We spend 3 nights there and I only wished we stayed a few nights longer. The staff was sweat and kind and full field all our needs. The room is super comfortable, the bed is big and the bathroom is large and full of room for clothes. Special thank you to Antonia and Adolfo

We noticed a lot of ants in the bathroom and clothe’s area in the first night. Also, the breakfast should be included in the price

Its not a hotel, more like a small Villa. Stunning views on the Augustinillo bay from the pool and the rooms with view. But also the other rooms are of great quality and you can see the sea. Well designed and comfortable rooms. Good breakfast. Personnel very helpful. Its 30 min walking in humid heat to the beach, better bring car or moto.
