Everything was perfect, we didn't want to leave! We had the most amazing four night stay at Monte Uzulu. Alan and Ricardo made us feel so welcome and at home from the moment we arrived. San Augustinilo is a beautiful little town, and Monte Uzulu is tucked just away from the main street - close enough that you can pop down to the beach or lovely nearby restaurants within just a few minutes, but quiet and secluded enough that you can truly relax. We loved the morning breakfasts, relaxing on the balcony, and just generally all of the beautiful touches in the room. Highly highly highly recommend, we dream of coming back.

Monte Uzulu Boutique Hotel is a truly exceptional place to stay. The rooms are beautifully designed with a perfect balance of modern comfort and natural elements, offering a serene and stylish atmosphere. We had an amazing view of the trees and ocean from our second floor room. The hotel’s location is right in the middle of town, yet quiet and peaceful, and just a short walk to the most stunning San Agustinillo beach. Elvia, the manager was super friendly, helpful and attentive, making us feel right at home from the moment we arrived!

I did not mind this, but be aware there are a few steps to get to the rooms.

It was perfect - beautifully designed, tranquil, elegant, with wonderful host Allan to tend to our every whim. Breakfast was delicious, the showers were perfect, secluded, beautiful garden, romantic, comfortable, beautiful sea views with sunset from our balcony and the sound of crashing waves at night. Our favourite stay by far during our month long travels through Mexico. Short walk to a quiet beach and tucked away from the main strip of Mazunte but still within walking distance. Get the sea view room, you won’t regret it.

Great design, BATH tube ( I really miss it in Mexico), very friendly staff and good breakfast. I the room you will find everything you need to fight mosquitos, go to the beach (bag and towels) and eco-cosmetics.

Be prepare to climb to the hotel and to your room. You would really need comfortable shoes! There are stones and you need to climb up in the darkness)

The room is beautiful, the view from the balcony is stunning (we we’re staying in room number 9 on the upper floor). The staff is really friendly and helpful. Special thanks to Julio who arranged a special breakfast for my wife when she got a food poisoning. Communication is easy and quick via WhatsApp. Before arrival they will already send you a list with tips. There are nice amenities in the room, included a aftersun. We will miss the calmness and the sound of the waves during the night. Definitely come back to this place.

The breakfast was a bit disappointing. Coffee/tea, a fruit bowl and a small cookie or bread. They have a menu where you can choose from but you have to pay extra for it. We ordered the banana/cinnamon pancakes who were really good. For the price of the room I think it would be fair if guests can choose one dish from the breakfast menu, as all the dishes are shareable.

The view of the upper rooms was just insane. In general the rooms were very tastefully decorated. On top it was very quiet. Everything felt high quality. It was better than on the photos.

There was never a big yoga class as seen on photos when I was there.

This hotel is an absolute gem. I almost conflicted to give it such a great review because I selfishly want to keep it as a hidden gem. The staff were beyond helpful. The breakfast was plenty of delicious food and the restaurant atmosphere is incredible. Anyone that has a gripe is being a Karen.

One thing I would be aware of is that, at least our room, did not have AC if you are traveling the hottest months. That being said, Mazunte is not really a place to expect that…

The location, ecological ethos and staff were all excellent. Our room was tasteful and extremely comfortable. We loved the atmosphere, and will certainly be back! The coffee is the best we have ever tasted, and our couples' massage was incredible.

Breakfast was lovely, although we felt that it could have been better with the addition of eggs or something else. The fruit portion was quite small and the chocolate croissant (albeit delicious) was not what we wanted to eat on a daily basis. Therefore a revision of breakfast would be ideal!

It's not located on the beachfront, it's not even 40 m away, it's around 3-5 min walk up the stairs across the main road. also, not all the room have a sea view which is quite disappointing

gem of the beaten track in between hectic zipolite and mazunte both just minutes away by raxi
