I used this hotel as a place to stay for a weekend hike. The staff are full of lots of little suggestions to help make your stay better. For example, they arranged to store a plate of food for me when I phoned them at 8pm, as I was still on my hike. Had a sumptuous fish platter washed down with local beers that they have in their bar. The breakfast menu is extensive, and includes full Welsh breakfast, and options for more fussy eaters, but also wonderful traditional options such as haddock poached in milk. They have fresh croissants that they get from a local baker and serve hot from the oven. It's a really nice place to stay.

We booked this property last minute after visiting Bangor uni. Everything was fantastic , check in was quick and easy with Hazel . The room was a really good size with a large en-suite with bath. It was all so clean and the tea tray well stocked. The view was amazing albeit raining . The bed was lovely and comfy. Breakfast was beautiful everything so fresh as cooked to order and good produce , The staff were friendly and attentive. I would definitely recommend.
Only negative and that’s if I’m being picky was the carpark was quite small and a bit tricky to find. But there are some great public car parks that are reasonably priced I believe. It wouldn’t put me off at all .

The breakfast was excellent. As was the evening meal we had there. The location was good. We had a view of the Menai straits and the Beaumaris High Street was within 3 minutes walk. Also the parking was very convenient.
The room had a low ceiling near the window. I'm 5"6 and still bashed my head. It's an old building so the stairs were lop-sided. The car park was behind the hotel and had space for all guests but it was a tight squeeze. Long vehicles made getting in and out difficult.

Nice welcome, comfortable bed. good breakfast.
Far too many stairs and no assistance offered to carry cases. The room was pretty but being in the eaves half of it could only be used by bending in two. The bathroom is adequate but very narrow.

The hotel is charming. It's a lot nicer 'in the flesh'. The photos don't do it justice. Really comfortable beds. Very clean. Helpful staff. Welcoming atmosphere.
Some of it could do with a lick of paint.

I rarely get up to North Wales, but when I do, I am never disappointed. This is a lovely little hotel. My room was clean and spacious with a comfortable bed, a TV I could watch without wearing glasses, a desk so I could get some work done, and the usual tea/coffee/biscuits. What was a pleasant addition, particularly given the price, was the complimentary sherry decanter and chocolate bars and the dressing gowns. I ate downstairs, choosing the less formal bar area, and it was easy to see why this hotel has maintained its AA rosette status for so long. The seafood platter was fresh with a beautifully dressed garnish. The beef bourguignon was perfectly cooked and flavoursome. The service was friendly and efficient. I look forward to my next visit.

Stayed for 1 night to attend my fathers memorial service. Hazel was amazing from the get go, warm welcome, and very compassionate about the cirumstances. despite me arriving a little early for the 3pm check in she showed me to my room with no problem. Hazel even offered to take me to my next destination when she realised I had arrived by train and then bus to Beaumaris and said she even would have collected me from Bangor if she had known. Had a meal in the evening and it was perfection, all the food is locally sourced and is super fresh and beautifully cooked and presented. Nothing was too much for the staff. It's an old Georgian building and the rooms are cozy. The bed was super comfortable. Staff were attentive and helpful and I was even allowed to use the room after check out to freshen up for my onward journey. I am going to stay again, thank you for making a very difficult time a little easier. Give Ringo a belly rub from me x

The owner of the hotel and the sous chef made a delicious top notch dinner, and we were so happy with our meal. The dinning room is very attractive and old school. Our room was nice and had a large bathroom which was great. We had a small window as it was on the top floor, but other than that we were pleased. The staff was very nice. Also the hotel is very convenient to the center of town, the water and an enjoyable walk up and down the boardwalk , and a fantastic nearby bakery just behind the hotel.
Probably the small window in the room.

I booked last minute and was lucky enough to get a cancellation for Bishopsgate House Hotel. I really enjoyed my short stay at this little place! It's a traditional, pretty, clean, quirky, friendly and very pleasant place to stay and is so much better than a 'chain' hotel, in my opinion anyway! It also had a relaxing atmosphere and friendly staff. I loved it and if I'm ever back near Beaumaris I know where I will want to stay again.
There's nothing I didn't like except that I couldn't spend more time here!

The room in the eaves was small but thoughtfully furnished with everything you need and a few extras, such as the teapot and alarm clock. The decor was pretty and characterful - the view from the window waking up after a good night's sleep was fantastic. Breakfast was also lovely. The haddock was beautifully cooked and presentation of the hot and cold selection was first class. The ambience in the breakfast/dining room was elegant, white tablecloths, gorgeous ancient stained glass window. All food brought to the table by friendly and helpful staff. It is an elegant and cosy place with free parking at the rear. We only stayed one night but felt so welcome (even when we pressed the doorbell after a late evening walk and struggled with the front door key - my fault). Beaumaris by moonlight is magical - a very special place. Paula was jolly and kind when greeting us at the door. To summarise, we felt at home and spoiled. It is a gorgeous place and we look forward to another visit.
