I booked a room with the expectation of just having a place to sleep and to leave my luggage while I was out in town all day. For that it's a really good option... cheap for being New York with a great location and clean rooms where you feel safe.

The breakfast could have been better (I didn't have breakfast there because I didn't like it), the bathroom door lock didn't work and the floor I was in was being renovated so there was a lot of dust and they worked until very late (10 ish) but it actually didn't bother that much.

Able to add extra nights as needed during my stay. Very close to central, and the shower had great pressure and heat. Staff were very accommodating with fresh towels and baggage storage too.

The room could have used a deep clean, but at the price point that was passable. I think some aspects of the building were still under construction, which I made allowances for. Greatest thing I missed was a laundry. Would have been great to freshen up my clothes on site. One guest washed their clothes in the sink, and dryed them on an oil heater, which was quite unpleasant.

Staff was friendly and polite. I've had a little problem in my room and it was fixed straight away. The bed was alright and there was an air conditioner in the room which is very important especially in summer like now. I was surprised they've served bagels and tea/coffee which I wasn't expecting, and so I even had a breakfast before leaving and refiled my water bottle. Check out is also super fast and doesn't take any of your time if you're in a hurry like I was. Wi-fi was good too.

The only few thing I didn't like was the noice outside, but you're staying in Manhattan and it was a Saturday night, so can't really expect anything else. Lastly, the smell right outside of the hostel isn't great so you better walk fast there, loads of rubbish, but again it was Saturday and I assume it's normal.

There was breakfast there consisting of bagels & coffee, and jam.. it was basic and no idea how to get some more coffee when it was gone so you have to be quick in the morning but right next door and all around are places for that kind of thing, a great bar right across the road too Rumours. Staff were super accommodating, moved my bed as it was in front of the aircon but I did request a bottom bunk and I got it

nothing really, it was all I expected it to be from dorms, as always there are sometimes inconsiderate people but that's not the fault of the hotel. No locker padlock provided that I know of so take your own, I did.

I liked that the rooms are big enough for the amount of people, and the bathrooms were constantly cleaned up. I had a very good time there, will definitely stay again. It's well located and easy to get to from anywhere in NY. The lockers are bigger than I expected, I was able to fit my bag and some other clothes in there. I used my own lock.

The bed isn't too comfortable, the mattress could use a replacement to a nicer one. The breakfast was over too quickly, and I didn't see them refilling the bagels or coffee, so most of the time I had to have breakfast somewhere else, which I really didn't mind, but I think that it's important to have enough food for everyone.

It’s the cheapest place in the Manhattan main area. You can access in 10 mins to most of the popular places in the mid-Manhattan by walk. Also, several metro stations are located within 5 mins distance by walk. Of course this hostel provides only very essential things, but you have to remember, it is the cheapest hostel! Staffs are very kind and nice. Baggage keeping after check-out is possible(charged 5 dollors per baggage).

cleaning condition.

The location is great, I wanted to be close to Central Park and it's just a couple of blocks away. Also a couple of blocks away form the subway line to JFK. Reception is open at all times, the receptionists were very helpful.

Instead of common shared bathrooms there is one bathroom per 6-person room and the toilet is together with the shower, so you have to wait to pee until a person inside washes their hair. Also one of the lights in the room was not working, as well as the bathroom lock. Breakfast was in theory available for a couple of hours, but there was just one coffee mug that was never replaced when finished.

location is amazing, bathrooms were clean. loved how everything is near to the hostel such as pharmacy, bars and restaurant and all other attractions.

there should be a regular housekeeping for rooms so that floor can be clean. the floor was really dirty. the entrance of the hostel needs to be improved. it looks very odd. the lighting was too dark of hostel. the living room or kitchen area needs to be light up. it was really dark.

Location, location, location, which is awesome, nice girls and boys on the reception, good price and nice view from the room window. Thank you, I did enjoy the staying.

Instead of women room I was put into mixed one, but preferred not to argue as it was late. In the end it was ok:) Included breakfast is not really a breakfast - not the best coffee and plain bagel. But who cares if there are dozens of cafes around?:) The only real minus was a loud air conditioner, noizy neighbours and quite a cold air in the room.

Great location, 10min walk from Times Square, lots of stores and restaurants nearby. I expected my bedroom to be dirtier given some other reviews but the room and bathroom were clean. They give you a towel and fresh bed linens so you do not need to bring any. The staff was very kind and helpful. I definitely recommend if you want to stay in place that is safe, ideally located and cheap for the city.

Beds are not the most comfortable but it's not the worst either. The temperature in the room was great except for one night (it was too cold) so bring a sweat to sleep just in case.
