The hotel was amazing, the staff were friendly and helpful.

I was given some numbers for taxi services to take us back to the hotel. When I rang them all, they didn't answer. I then phoned the hotel, as they said if there was any difficulty, to phone them and they would sort it. Unfortunately, through no fault of the hotel, they were unable to, leaving us stranded in a town we don't know, unable to get back to the hotel until the early hours of the morning. I feel that a hotel like this should have some business account linked to a taxi firm that will accommodate the residents. This was a scary experience for us, one that has put us off repeating.

The hotel is in a beautiful area with a scenic view of the hills, and it has a number of outdoor walks. The leisure centre is open to guests as part of the hotel and has a gym, pool, and spa, which can be quite relaxing. The staff are very welcoming, with the attitude that if they can do something for you they will, if not then they will try to find the right person to help you. The food is very good and well presented, staff leave you to enjoy your meal, they are always looking and if you need anything more a quick look to them and someone will be right there.

Having said that the food is excellent, the price is a little hight for an example the buffet breakfast was 25 euros, a similar one in Dublin is around 20 euros.

The pool area was really lovely and the bar was a lovely place to have some breakfast. The bar staff where so nice and very friendly. The location was amazing and we ended up going to many surrounding locations, there is alot to do in the area.

There was no one in reception when we arrived and a lady eventually saw us from the back room but couldnt find anyone from reception, eventually got checked in. The next day we where out on a tour and got a call to say we had not checked in and would you be arriving today as we expected you yesterday , even though we had already stayed the night and checked in. The room itself was the only real dissapointment. Everything else was really good but the room was very basic and dated. It only had power sockets across the room under the table and none by the bed , it also had no bed side lamps just a main light which meant you had to have full lights on all the time .

we had a brekfast we were happy with everything . it ws a good big breakfast . The diner was served in a very comfortable area with excellentr service and a fine choice of fod and wine.

We complained about the shower overflowing te drip tray on the first evening it was supposedly sorted, bot the overflowing drip trap persisted till we left. We tried to clear it ourselves but only managed to get a string of long hair out with 2 otton buds. the same problem of blockage throughg hair was also noted in the sink. I suggest a quick lesson in maintenace we resolve this issue out liftingf the drainage cover.

The bar food was very nice for dinner (we didn't do breakfast). The bar staff were very polite and helpful. The room was warm and bed was comfortable. The pool area and sauna was very nice and child friendly. Only a short drive from Dublin.

Rooms were a bit dated. Room shower was not all that great. Had hoped for a nicer view from the room. It was difficult to get Netflix on the TV for the kids (not a major issue but something that parents appreciate). The pint in the bar was a tad expensive. The jacuzzi was cold on our visit 😅.

The food was excellent. All members of staff were amazing - friendly, courteous, polite, cheerful and extremely helpful. We could not fault them. Everyone seemed to work as part of a good team. The surrounding gardens are beautiful.

The shower above the bath was adequate and worked well but as an older person I now find walk -in showers more accessible. Perhaps I should have enquired about availability.

Dinner and breakfast were superb. Good quality, well cooked and excellent value. Setting for eating was lovely. Beds were large and comfortable - fantastic sleep. Staff were friendly, attentive and professional Check-in and check-out efficient and easy.

View from room was a fence and tatty shed/cage. Noise as bins being rolled along back passageway early morning. Bathroom was tired and not particularly clean

Staff and location were great, the gardens were exceptional and food was lovely too. My wife had a procedure done in the early morning and I asked if we could check in early if possible and the hotel helped me immensely with this which was very kind.

Only thing was the noise from the other room was easily heard as it was an interconnecting room. Tv late at night and alarm of the occupant woke us up, but that was only compliant.
