It was in a very peaceful & nice location, and the accommodation was based on 2 floors, so we had a really nice spacious place on 2 floors🤗 The place was a little bit old, and worn out, but otherwise very great & clean👍🏻 We really enjoyed our stay!
The wifi was very bad, like you couldn’t basically do anything, because it was just loading all the time, so you definitely need to have time & patience with the wifi! Also the laundry area was separately, a common area for everyone, and you had to pay to use the washer & dryer! It was only like 2$ one cycle, but it only accepted coins😧 So no credit card, or cash, which was a little bit unfortunate for us, as we didn’t had any coins.

Location out in Golden Bay was very good, we enjoyed our stay out there
It was our 48th wedding anniversary, so we went out for tea at the local tavern. After placing our order we had to wait over an hour for our meals. My wife was happy with chicken salad, I had roast of the day which was not worth what we paid - the most vegetables on the plate was sweetcorn. Definitely our worst dining experience, disappointing as we had really good experiences during our 3 weeks travelling. Definitely would not recommend this place for a meal - there was another couple there who were also not happy.

Comfortable bed, wonderful reception, including suggestions to dinner, breakfast and local attractions! Easy parking, pulled right up to our door. Slept great.
We stayed in the “Waterfront Studio” and the WiFi did not work, maybe would work in units closer to office? There is a password to connect to the WiFi, but once connected, disconnected and was only 1 bar. Restarted our devices, etc still no WiFi. Problematic when trip planning after a wonderful day of hiking and sightseeing, booking a location where WiFi is advertised. The drain in the shower is slow and backed up.

Collingwood Park Motel was in the perfect location. My friend and I wanted to stay the night in Collingwood for ease of boarding the Farewell Spit Tour. As the Motel was just over the road from the Tour's head quarters this was perfect. We only had a one night stay, but the Motel really made a lovely impression on us. The staff were very friendly and accomodating and the Motel Room was very clean, comfortable and modern. I would definitely recommend Collingwood Park Motel as a great place to stay. Even though Collingwood is a very little town/village it had plenty of amenities, shops and lovely places to eat at.

The glimpse of the sea from our unit.
No fan over the cooking elements. Place needs updating - curtain for shower? Over priced. Not happy about no refund if wanting to change the date. We had a situation where changing the date could have helped out plans and maybe stay longer. Clean but oh so basic and pricey for what you got. I had to ask for another coffee satchel as only one was left and we were a couple staying.

A good jumpoff point to explore Wharariki beach/farewell split. Clean motel and has a nice wooden dinning table/chair to watch the sunset from
My son stayed at the loft section of our accommodation. It was too hot for him and he could sleep as he was sweating a lot even with the window open. To be fair, we didnt ask reception if they had an electric fan available as it it was in the middle of the night and on our last night in the motel.

The room was spotless! Bed and linen were fresh and clean. Basic kitchen necessities were provided. Location was superb and we enjoyed the sunset. The nearby restaurants and cafes are nice. The only downside of our stay was the noise coming from the other rooms. No soundproofing. Other than that, our stay was good.
The noises coming from the other rooms.

Amber was very welcoming when we checked in after a long day on the road. Gave good advice about local attractions and eating places. Checked later to see how we were settling in. Location, on the estuary, was beautiful and we got some spectacular sunsets while sitting on the benches overlooking the water. Easy access to Puponga and Farewell Spit walks, Wharariki Beach, the Heaphy Track. Lots to do
Geriatric hippy from the cafe next door decided to throw a party with live "music" (word used very loosely) which went on until 1045pm. NOT the fault of Collingwood Park Motel and Amber very apologetic. Just made one less cafe that I would patronise so an easier choice when deciding where to eat.

The Collingwood Park Motel is a cosy establishment facing the inlet of the Golden Bay. We had a spacious apartment (no 7) with a living/dining area, 3 bedrooms and a bathroom. Outside terraces on both sides of the apartment. The beds were comfortable and the veiw from the apartment was beautiful.

The unit we stayed in was really clean, excellent little kitchenette. Beds were so comfy and very big. Great location in Collingwood, next to Courthouse Cafe. The whole motel area was obviously well looked after. Great view of the river and the hills. Amber the manager was terrific, really helpful and gave recommendations for Mussel Inn (which was delightful). She also got in touch to let me know I had left some clothes behind! Quiet area. Perfect if you want self-sufficiency for a few days away!
Nothing - it was brilliant.
