The rooms were great. The beds and pillows were so comfortable! The location was central. The rooms were very clean and turned over every day. The room maids were lovely.

The fact that it hadn’t been completed and the downstairs facilities not in place and no compensation for this. When we arrived at 8pm we had to take our own bags up to our rooms as the concierge was on his break. No offer to wait 20 mins. There were a few extras that were not made available like water in our room and a complimentary cocktail. When we asked we were provided with vouchers to a bar 2 blocks away. When we tried to go there they had a 2 week waiting list! Most of the staff were really friendly but this wasn’t consistent, sadly.

Perfect position in the middle of Manhattan. Close to a subway station but also nice position for walking all around. Our room was a queen classic for two people, awesome comfortable bed, good light and the bathroom was ok. Would come back.

Room was clean. The bed was very comfortable. The AC worked well. TV was excellent. (We watched NCAA basketball when we returned to the room.) Location is excellent. (Close to 34th St/Herald Square train entrance.) Staff was friendly. Perfect home base for a NYC trip where your room is mostly for sleeping or recharging during the day.

Drawbacks for us: no coffee/tea maker in the room. Coffee was provided in the lobby in the morning but would've liked to make my own. Lobby/bar area were under renovation during our stay. No amenities of that sort available to us at the time. Another minor complaint: no storage. No bureau with drawers. Also, electrical outlets only on one side of room.

Fantastic location, right by Koreatown and just a short walk to Herald Square, Penn Station, and many restaurants and shops. We did hear some street noise every now and then, but it wasn’t so loud as to disturb our sleep (or maybe we were just too tired). The room we got looked pretty close to the photos online and was quite spacious by NYC standard. I liked the high ceiling and uncluttered look of the space. I also appreciated that the hotel offered both ice and filtered water to guests.

The checkout time (11am) was a bit earlier than my personal preference, but it actually worked out well for my itinerary. The bed was not as firm and supportive as I’d like, but I slept just fine. There was no microwave or refrigerator in the room, so it might be an inconvenience if we had stayed for several days or longer.

The luggage storage was very convenient, especially for flights that land earlier than check-in. Room service was very helpful and sheets were replenished everyday. This hotel is in a great and convenient location.

The elevator did have an issue on our last day, but they we're working on getting it fixed.

Location is perfect. Room was spacious, Clean.

It's not something that I didn't like, not such a bother, it's just an old New York thing - because I believe the hotel is based on the old original New York construction system, the elevator, and bathroom pluming are "a tad slow". The sink water did not exactly have fast drainage, faster to brush my teeth in the tub, and the elevator took almost forever to reach 8th floor. Ah! Also, there are no women in this hotel. Not-A-One! The 2 staff that I met upon my arrival on Friday were friendly and nice, but I never saw them again. The shifts changed and there were only cold, silent and distant ones that were not exactly welcoming, not that I stayed and chat or engaged in any type of complex conversation. They barely said hello.

The rooms were clean and the beds were super comfortable, which was needed after a long day in New York. The staff were also really friendly and even managed to give one of my friends a spare key after we lost her on the subway!

There was a pipe that randomly kept making a noise throughout our stay but this wouldn’t put me off booking again.

Location is great, the building is beautiful. Our room was super cute but tiny - the bed takes most of the space. It's hard to move around ;) The bathroom is excellent. In general, very happy with the experience.

The staff members were great. Always welcoming. The room and bathroom were both beautifully decorated and roomy. We loved being able to control the thermostat, so we were always comfortable. Our room had beautiful high ceilings. Loved the architecture. Loved having a refrigerator in our room. Leaving us bottles of water each day was a very nice touch. We also were able to store our luggage there before check-in and after check-out so we could see the sights without having to drag our luggage with us.

The building is older, and you would sometimes hear a banging noise in the wall of the bathroom. Mainly when most guests were probably taking showers. I figured it was an older hot water heater/furnace. I just shut the bathroom door, and the problem was solved. I still loved this property. I did not give this review a frowny face!😊
