As soon as you arrive, you are put at ease by the staff and relaxed friendly family atmosphere. The honesty bar / fridge was a real perk, and added to the feeling of being at home. Breakfast is delicious and lots of choice. The room was very comfortable and the property itself is gorgeous. The views and peacefulness are breathtaking.
Everything was perfect, although I think I’ve seen it mentioned that there was a yoga studio, I didn’t see it on the property and would’ve liked to do some yoga, but this definitely did not have a negative affect on our stay.

Breakfast options are great and super tasty. Room is so comfortable and cosy. Staff is friendly and always willing to help. We really appreciated the turn own service and the fact that staff is available to welcome you back to the estate. Love the location and serene feeling. Will definitely be back!
There was a slight issue with the cleanliness of the bedding which was quickly rectified. The dogs that live in the manor home are not very friendly which can be a bit scary for people with a fear of dogs.

Wow, where to start! Holden Manz is an oasis of tranquillity and peace enclosed by the warmth of a family-driven winery and fantastic staff! All was beyond our expectation, from the attentiveness of the staff to the quality of the food and the extra touches that made us feel spoiled: such as finding a sweet card and little chocolate treats when coming back to the room. We were welcomed with complementary wine and, when we went out for dinner, we were asked if we would have liked to find the fireplace started to find the room a bit warmer. We felt very welcome also thanks to the family members, that we met and that always respected our need for space, while making available all the facilities (including the family living room) to us.
Nothing, Holden Manz is just fantastic!

Beautiful location and views around the manor house. The breakfast was exceptional. Being able to choose from a few dishes and having the chef prepare it fresh is what makes Holden Manz extra special. All the staff members were friendly and helpful, even making a dinner reservation for us one evening when we couldn't decide whether to go out again or not. And thanks to that reservation we had the best sushi of our lives at Yama!
The cleanliness of the upstairs suite. This is because of the thatched roof, so debris tends to fall down. You can tell they try to keep the space clean, but one can understand that it's challenging with the roof. Be aware of this if you have allergies.

As always, we had a wonderful time. It's located in a beautiful setting, and only a few minutes drive from Franschhoek town and the winelands. The underfloor heating is welcome, so is the down duvet and Egyptian Cotton linen. Love the big shower and luxurious amenities! And off-course the spoils offered extra, including the Complimentary bottle of the estate's wine (Platter 4 star!), bed prepared for the evening with some chocs, and the stunning a la carte breakfast. You'll see us again for a fifth time.

Setting.Rooms. Breakfast- best cooked eggs!. Comfort. Small touches. Interior.Staff: Charlene was the most superb duty manager. She kept open continued communication for our late arrival. She ensured our room was heated in time for arrival, that we could warm up in front of the lounge fire. She was friendly, professional, engaging, professional. What a compliment to the place. Help was all around with disabled needs. brilliant. The security guy at the gate was the same and very patient so late at night and big smiles in the morning …

If you take a wonder you'll be fascinated by what you ruin into... a river running through a vineyard, a working vines beautifully maintained (a functional description for something truly stunning, as if maintenance is even an objective), an art gallery unexpected, a pool on the edge of forest. The guest services are great and the breakfast is outstanding.
I'm being petty, which is the only way to list things I din't like about this place. It really is stunning. The veranda door was broken/stuck whilst we were there. For the price range it would have been nice to have a slightly larger TV... I warned you I was being petty.

The views from the property were stunning. We visited many other vineyards on the Wine Tram and none could match Holden Manz. The king suite was very sizeable and well equipped. The bed was humongous and extremely comfortable. The property was very well maintained and the breakfasts fantastic. The staff were very friendly and accommodating (thanks Charlene and Frank). Also their wine is lovely. The Big G red or Rothko rose went down very well.
It’s a minor quibble but a refrigerator in the room would be nice.

The views were amazing. The wine farm too. They were really kind with all the complementaries (taste of wine and bottle of wine). The house is incredibly furnished.
It was not really good prepared for the winter season. There was an air conditioned and a central floor heating but it was not enough to warm it up. Even though the central floor heating is usually enough, they should have switched on beforehand.

Tranquility and spending quality time are the main things we were looking for and that is exactly what we got. Beautiful views, away from our usual busy city life. The place was clean, great staff - very welcoming. We felt like we were part of the family and the team made great suggestions on local restaurants to visit for dinner. The complimentary wine tasting and wine in our suite were highly appreciated. We did not feel the impact of loadshedding because the house had a back up power supply. The second day of our stay was a cold day but we had wine and a fire place in our suite to make everything alright.
