We have stayed several times in Franschoek over the years and we were really blown away by this property - it was truly superb. The bedrooms are modern and extremely spacious and the bathrooms were amazing (double showers in each of the rooms!). We made use of the braai (barbecue) area and huge kitchen to have a homely night one evening and went into town on the second evening. Franschoek is a delightful town to visit and I can't recommend this establishment high enough as a great place to stay - and it's good value for money too! Thanks to Marlicia for being such a great hostess.

The cottage is beautifully maintained. Bedrooms and bathroom spacious with luxury products provided . Kitchen well equipped . Access to garden , pool and patio. Close enough to walk down to the main road but lovely to run around the dam and side roads . There is construction at the house next door to which is noisy but able to reduce the noise by closing the windows . Hostess was accommodating and allowed us a later check out . Warm and friendly and would love to return for a longer stay

One has to understand that construction is part of life and may have an temporary impact

Such a tranquil place , a hidden gem. Lois and Marlicia are the perfect hosts. The homemade cookies were lovely , the property had everything that you needed . Marlicia was very helpful and also gave us the number of a local driver ,Johnny, who was great ! We loved Marlicia’s recommendation to eat at Reuben’s! An absolute delight

The builders next door started early and were noisy . Nothing to do with Marlicia and Lois, but maybe the neighbouring property owner should consider that there is a rental property next door and should ask the builders to respect that

We were made to feel very welcome from the moment we arrived. Petit Plaisir is a lovely option for anyone wanting to stay in Franschoeke. It's a 10 minute walk to the centre of the village and all the restaurants. A 20 minute walk to the Wine tram terminal. The house is very well equipped, the bathroom is huge and lovely. Well stocked kitchen, we appreciated the bottle of wine the hosts gave us. Very comfortable bed, and the bathrobes were a nice touch. There's also a little garden with a pool but as it's was Spring it wasn't warm enough to use the pool.

We cant talk highly enough of this property and the owner. Communication was perfect. Marlicia, the lady that we communicated with and owner of the property was really lovely. We cant express how perfect she was in communicating and discussing what to do in the area. The accomodation was the best we stayed in all holiday. Kitchen , Living room , Bedroom amd Bathroom. All in very good and spotless condition. Bed was good as was the Wifi. Off street gated parking. The shower was a brilliant walk in with 2! shower heads. There is also a bath. The property shares an area with a good swimming pool and there is your own courtyard area to the side. The property is in walking distance of the town but you can get taxi`s if so required. All in all we would highly reccomend and will certainly return on our next trip.

Beautiful apartment in a peaceful location yet still easy walking distance to the centre of town. Wonderful welcome and being looked after by Marlicia, with nothing too much trouble. Apartment serviced daily (though you can request for this not to be if you prefer). Lovely gardens, quiet and respectful neighbours in adjoining apartment. Bliss to come back to the pool to cool off after hot days wine tasting, cycling and exploring! Very comfortable bed, cooling breezes (and aircon if required), exceptional bathroom! Will definitely recommend to friends and family in future.

Grande Plaisir is spacious accommodation which is ideally suited to larger groups. The kitchen, in particular, is large and well equipped so self catering is easy. Host, Marlicia, is delightful and welcomed us with a complimentary bottle of wine and provided various other basic food items. The gardens are beautiful, the pool and outdoor area well maintained and the property secure. All in all, this is a great place to stay!

Having to leave!

We absolutely loved all elements of our stay, the location, facilities and whole accommodation was outstanding. Marlicia was an excellent host, with a beautiful cottage which had everything we needed. The outside area was stunning and we enjoyed several hours chilling by the pool. The area is incredibly safe, we happily walked after dark even during the loadshedding. It was all just idyllic and because of this we are already planning our next trip and will definitely be staying here again - thank you Marlicia!

Nothing at all

Marlicia was a perfect host and made us so welcome. We stayed for 4 nights and it was our first place on a 4 week road trip. We got off to a great start here in a lovely spacious apartment with lots of outdoor space in which to enjoy the lovely warm late winter sunshine! We could even see the Franschhoek Pass heading up the the mountain which was a splendid backdrop. We had everything we needed and we got great tips from Marlicia especially the one to visit the Mont Rochelle Nature Reserve and do some walking there. It was superb and was such a memorable hike! Great scenery in great weather and we had it virtually to ourselves! This is a great place to stay in Franschhoek which is a lovely town too.

Thank you Marlicia for your hospitality and stay in your beautiful home. Your home is spacious, lovely interior furnishings , beautiful pictures and ornaments. Beautifully clean. The kitchen had everything we needed and the rusks and crunchies were delicious. The bedrooms were spacious , lovely linens and a nice en-suite bathroom with nice soaps and lotions. The patio area is lovely with a nice braai and pizza oven. Walking distance to the shops and restaurants and in a nice quiet Suburb. We really had a wonderful 5 night stay with our boys. Thank you to all your staff.
