I recently stayed at Daintree Ecolodge. We stayed in a Lagoon Treehouse and the room was spacious, clean and beautifully decorated, making it a joy to return to after a day of exploring. The complimentary breakfast was a highlight, offering a great variety. Dinner was equally impressive, especially our private dinner - every dish we tried was expertly prepared and bursting with flavour. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, making us feel right at home. Plus, the beautiful property, complete with native flora and fauna added a unique touch to our stay. We even spotted a tree snake relaxing just outside our treehouse! Looking forward to returning.

Lack of cafe and restaurant options in the area.

The atmosphere, set inside the rainforest, and the location. Staff couldn’t be friendlier or more helpful, and the food was delicious. Rooms were large, beds extremely comfortable, and the screened in rooms allow you to hear all the sounds of the forest. The lodge uses high quality, sustainable tour operators in the area.

More and better common spaces to relax and enjoy the surroundings would be nice (the pool area was not very inviting and trails were very rough.) We had hoped the lodge would include some of its own wildlife tours, similar to safari lodges. Also, if you don’t like spiders or other insects next to your dinner table, this is not for you. You are staying at an ecolodge in a 180 million year old rainforest, so there will be wildlife all around you. That’s what makes it special.

location Ambiance Evening meal

given the cost of staying here at this intrepid property the breakfast was a mean effort and what was even more remarkable was you were told each morning you are only allowed one coffee and one choice from the menu There was no buffet element The room cleaning service was less than one would expect , the seat covers in the veranda part of the room were very grubby, that we always covered them before sitting on them The solar panel heated pool was bracing!

The Daintree Ecolodge was amazing!! All staff at the Ecolodge were all so so lovely. All staff were so accomodating especially Jody. Jody was amazing right from the start of our visit and helped us to book tours in the area, and helped us navigate the area despite being unable to rent a car. All staff at the Daintree Ecolodge were lovely, caring and respectful during dining times. As well as this the food was amazing!!! Some of these meals were some of the best meals I have ever had. The accomodation was absolutely beautiful amongst the rainforest and I could not recommend more. The hotel also has its own private tour around the property and an amazing waterfall with cultural significance. I would definitely love to stay again when visiting the rainforest.

We loved staying at Daintree ecolodge The staff were an absolute standout and made our stay fantastic The food at the restaurant was genuinely top notch. It was very high quality with fresh ingredients It was beautiful to sit on the enclosed balcony in the evening and listen to the evening rainforest chorus

The swimming pool is right next to the day spa, and my (older) kids were swimming and not being especially noisy, but were shushed by the spa staff. I do totally understand someone having a massage/treatment doesn’t want to hear kids in a pool, but a pool is exactly where kids want to be on holidays, and if they can’t actually be in there, it’s not welcoming families with kids. The day spa simply needs better room sound proofing The mosquitoes were horrific and despite best efforts, it wasn’t possible to have none in the room. Mosquito nets would help with this issue as we all looked like we’d contracted chicken pox by the end

The peace and quite and the feeling of being in the rainforest but in the comfort of your apartment. The food was amazing including breakfast...well presented and absolutely delicious.

No small bowls or plates for snacks.also no knives to cut your own cheese etc...and no paper towels to mop up any small spillages. Not sure it was value for money as it was expensive but so glad we stayed there.

This is truly a special place in a very tropical setting. The rooms are spacious, with an amazing balcony, the staff is very helpful and friendly, and the food is well prepared. We liked the included cooked-to-order breakfast.

The swimming pool needs a bit of love: It is clean and functional, and very refreshing after a hot day, but it misses a bit of atmosphere compared to the rest of the lodge.

comfy bed, wonderful treehouse style accommodation, fantastic food albeit expensive.

Renovations occurring so spent majority of my first day after checkin, listening to drills and saws. Staff apologised but unfortunately it ruined my first day of relaxation. The pool facility is like something out of a 1980s resort. It's in need of Renovation work to make it more welcoming.

What a fantastic place to stay in the middle of the Daintree Rainforest. We came here for our babymoon, wanting to switch off and relax surrounded by the natural environment and this place did not disappoint. As you enter your cabin for the first time and take in the absolutely stunning view from your balcony out into the rainforest, its easy to relax and let the sounds of the forest sooth you. And the restaurant....... I mean, seriously! We ate like royalty! The food was so good, breakfast and dinner are served daily and it was a huge highlight! We expected the food to be good, but it was sensational! Also, if you stay here the waterfall walk should not be missed! Oh, and the staff. We felt totally taken care of! Everyone was lovely, helpful and they genuinely wanted you to have a good stay. Communication before we arrived was excellent and it continued until we checked out. This place is a GEM!!!!

There isn't anything to not like about this place! But if I had to list anything, it would be the mozzies! they were brutal, pack insect repellant! They also have plenty on hand if you forget!

second time staying at Daintree eco lodge, the staff are friendly and the rooms are comfortable located in the tree tops. sleeping with the doors open the rooms have fly screen so you can hear the beautiful sounds of the rainforest while you sleep and not be bothered by bugs. Waking up and feeling like you are still dreaming. The food at the restaurant is the best I’ve had in FNQ. locally sourced ingredients and superbly cooked. we only stayed one night both times, giving us a day to tour around cape tribulation, go on nature walks and swim in local swimming holes.
