We had the bonus of being the front of the property, right across the road from the beach. The new owners are doing a fabulous job of updating the units and the property. Value for money too, as we didn't need to walk far to have an encounter with a koala. With the pub next door, which had amazing meals and coffee, everything was perfect for a quick getaway. Would definitely take a car next time, to see more of the island.

I would take my own pillow, as I had forgotten, and I always travel with mine. Nothing else, as toiletries were also included.

Awesome location across road from beach 🏖 & the most beautiful turquoise blue beach 5 min walk where we swam . Located next to pub where we got great cheese cake & arancci balls😋 short bus ride to market & Mexican 😋 bus stop out front & close to ferry. Could walk ☺ Loved that it was such a quiet location here with very compared to everywhere else we went☀ in saying that was surprised how lovely & quiet it was in the most busy of areas & absolutely love this place 🙏 🌴 🏖

The rooms seemed very new and we're really clean. We had a balcony, and had a bit of a beach view overlooking the pool. The staff were very nice! There was a restaurant and bar next door, which had great events and offers on. You are right next to the rock wallabies and an amazing beach!

This hotel is going through a lot of refurbishment, so we can see it will be great. However it meant during our stay there wasn't a reception or cooking facilities. Not a massive problem for us but wish this would've been communicated before booking.

The room itself was clean, comfortable and well-equipped for our stay. The pool was inviting and much enjoyed. The view was spectacular, but why simply look at the ocean when you can cross the street and walk beside it on a clean, beautiful, uncrowded beach where we encountered only sea birds and a few friendly fellow beach walkers? Wow what a great place to stay!

When we arrived, it was a bit difficult to find the office to check in.

Hayley was very welcoming and helpful, and attended to the few things we needed. The tv malfunctioned on our first night but Hayley had a replacement one installed the next day. The location, a short walk to Alma Bay and also the bus stop, was excellent. The bed was very comfortable, the shower was excellent.

I would have liked a small couch to relax on/ watch tv, as well as a cupboard to hang our clothes in. A broom would be helpful as we found sand seemed to follow us in. The external sliding door was quite heavy and possibly needs some maintenance.

Location was peaceful, close to perfect swimming beach (Alma Bay) and quiet beach for reflection and rest (Geoffrey Bay). Bus stop was closeby.

Spiders in the bathroom. Plates, cups etc and tea/coffee area was dusty. Valance on bedding was dirty. No broom or mop handy to clean Hotel - Waited 1 1/2 hours for dinner (chicken caesar salad) - meal was good but too long waiting.

Lovely, people but the rooms were a little run down and not amazingly clean. Not a huge bother as they got us in on an early check in and we also were offered a late check out which suited us as we all had kids playing in the pool. The location is amazing and to be honest the rooms were exactly as we expected. We spent most the time outside enjoying the island which is exactly what maggie island is for. We would stay again.

I loved the location. We just had to cross the road and we were on the beach. It was great to be near a bistro, newsagency, giftshop, and scooters. It made the stay very convenient and comfortable. This is my second time staying here and I can definitely see myself going back.

It was difficult to find the right water pressure in the shower

Excellent basic facilities, with cheeky kookaburras trying to steal your chips. It has a bar and restaurant, with 2 kid friendly swimming pools. It's a 1 minutes walk to Alma Bay, a world class beach full of sea life swimming between your feet. Also a 1 minutes walk to Geoffrey Bay, with wild wallaby spotting, and those brave enough, a 100 metre swim to snorkel over an amazing coral reef teeming with incredible life.

Was greeted at the property by Adam (super friendly and welcoming) and check-in was quick and easy. Great first impression. Had a minor hitch with room request (needed lower floor which wasn't available in family room due to renovations.. moved to two rooms side-by-side though and right beside the pool so I considered it an upgrade! Big thanks!) Room was really spacious and very clean. Great to have a little fridge and microwave in the room. And the little packets of biscuits were a hit with my toddler! Aircon in the room was nice and cold (perfect considering it is summer and hot and humid outside!) The bed was comfy and extra large and the bathroom was big with a big shower, excellent water pressure. Located right across the road from the beach, and right beside the pub and bistro (super friendly ladies in the bistro!). Bus stop just beside the pub and across the road from that is a patrolled beach, and a kids playground and swings. There's also a news agency and souvenir shop and a bottle shop all in the same little area. It's a really perfect location to base yourself on the island. The property exceeded my expectations, and we will definitely be back for another little holiday. Perfect for relaxing and exploring the island. My 3.5yo son loved his little holiday house and woke up each morning and put on his floatie ready for a swim in the pool.. it's two thumbs up from the kid!

We loved our time at this property. It was a relaxing, no drama 3 night stay. Oh, well there were some nasty marsh flies getting around because of the recent rain but that's in no way the property's fault! TIP: pack a can of insect repellent, just in case!
