Great service. Jenny is very thoughtful welcoming and helpfull. She thinks of the little things that make a difference in comparison to other Motels I have stayed in such as turning the heat pump on so when I arrive the room is lovely and warm. I won't stay anywhere else when I'm working in Taumarunui. The unit is spotless, the bed is comfortable and the shower pressure is amazing. The unit has everything I need.

I have no issues with my stay, in fact I would have liked to have stayed longer. That's why I will always choose to stay here over any other Motel in Taumaranui

Easy access and easy to find. A covered car park available just in front of each studio makes it really easy and enjoyable. The studio is spacious and the kitchen got all you need for a week-end. A very handy converter, comfortable beds, nice shower with warm water all the way. It's close to the road and you could hear some trucks over the night, but I slept through with no problem. I liked the view of the livestock next door.

The classic double tap for hot and cold water instead of a single mixer is very painful. Also very kiwi tho! The livestock could bring some flies, but the owners are managing it very well. I had only one in the room. That's nothing!

We enjoyed our stay, air con was on making our room nice and cool as it was very warm on arrival. Jenny was so friendly and accommodating she was absolutely charming let us know where good places to eat and would pop in for chat she even went back into town to get more soaps they were selling at reception for us, made locally. We wanted somewhere to lay our head, shower, come and go as we pleased and this place was everything we needed, the beds were comfy as and the shower never run out of hot water, we all loved and enjoyed our stay.

I remember it had a restaurant to it so what a disappointment this is no longer running we would have loved to have supported this and eat there after we come back from visiting whānau.

Supplied everything a family would need :) The bed was soooo comfy and the shower absolute top notch pressure!

The fact I couldn't change my booking, so ended up paying full family price for just myself despite trying to make the change within a couple of hours. Mahoe told me to do so online at booking.com but I searched for so long and gave up. Then booking.com replied to my email AFTER my stay saying they've emailed Mahoe as it's up to them to use their discretion. So unfortunately that was a fail lol

An older motel, but everything was working, looks very presentable inside, with aircon (very handy!), decent size kitchen, and covered parking, which was great unloading the car as it was raining at the time.

Close to a busy road, with lots of heavy trucks travelling past well into the night. It was also a distance back to town, and there is nothing you can walk to. Fine if you have a car.

We stayed here as our halfway overnight stop on a drive from Auckland to Wellington. We were getting in late but the Motel were very friendly and accommodating with arranging our check in. The room was spotless and although dated, the beds were very comfortable and the water pressure in the shower was incredible! It was perfect for what we needed and great value for money.

Comfortable bed. Heat pump. The staff set up the heating and closed the curtains when we were out at dinner after we arrived late. Had hotplates and mini oven as well as microwave.

No extractor fan although it did have louvre window in the shower cubical that we could open No electric blanket. Quite close to main road, although that didn’t disturb our sleep. About 4 mins from Taumeranui town centre

The party that rocked up at 3am weren't too great. My mum is a very light sleeper when we stay elsewhere out of our comfort zones so she was kept up all night. Maybe if the windows were double glazed or the rooms were made more sound proof to reduce the noise it might help. The only other thing was we had a little bit of mould on the bottom of the shower door, and a trail of ants on the bench (very minimal) but honestly other than that I would definitely stay here again. It was perfect for us.

It’s a little louder (on the highway, so trucks going past every so often) so not really good for light sleepers. Wasn’t an issue for us, but a heads up for others.

Lady who checked us in and out was very friendly and helpful and a font of useful knowledge. Room was spacious and had everything as advertised and the Internet connection worked well. Although next to a main road we didn't hear any traffic noise until it was time to get up.

Some signs of minor maintenance jobs that needed looking at, cistern running and some paintwork around windows needs attention. The lack of restaurant didn't worry us as we were aware before we checked in. Both the general maintenance issues and the restaurant not being available can be attributed to the hang over effect of the Covid lockdowns and should be sorted out once owners have had a normal summer season.
