Incredible stay, one of my favorite hotels I’ve ever stayed at! We stayed in a bedroom with garden view with our 3-month old, and for 10 euro a night they provided a pack n play with bedding which was perfect. The room was so incredibly beautiful—and the enormous windows let in so much gorgeous light but also had shutters so we could block out sunlight which was great for the baby! Breakfast was amazing, you could choose a main (eggs/omelets/pancakes/waffles/etc), a hot beverage, a freshly made juice, and a fruit plate or yogurt bowl or piece of cake. I loved the “Sunny” juice with beets, strawberry, orange and carrot. We also booked the garden house for my parents, which is a more modern unit (almost like a tiny house or ADU) with a lovely view out to the garden and a kitchen with fridge, oven, stovetop etc. The kitchen was stocked enough for my parents to cook themselves dinner one night. We liked the location, it was an easy walk to multiple cool neighborhoods. There was a cute shop next door and a delicious restaurant called Jardim do Viriato a few doors down (recommend it for the food and the family vibes, they were so warm and welcoming to us!)

Everything was just wonderful! Only FYI is that there is no elevator so we had to carry our stroller up the stairs, and that there were stairs from the main building down to the Garden House as well. We knew about that when we booked, just as a heads up to other potential guests!

Such a beautifully renovated hotel. The staff was so friendly, professional and attentive; the rooms and entire hotel were beautiful with original aspects and soothing colors; the breakfast was delicious. They cleaned our room after just being there for 1 day - which was nice. The staff was communicative but laid back. The garden and terrace were lovely - the weather was rainy and a bit cold during our stay so we didn’t use it much but it would be so wonderful to have when it is dry and a bit warmer. The location was right next to a bus stop and just north west of the touristy parts of town…we loved it. Couldn’t recommend it enough

The place is beautiful, special and antique, the room we got (I believe it was an upgrade was quite huge), the staff were super friendly and the breakfast was great!

The location was relatively close to the touristic part of town but still not super close (most restaurants and shops are at least 5-8 minutes walking distance uphill or downhill while other areas of Porto are much more dense). Our room was on the second floor which was actually 3 staircases up and there is no elevator - being pregnant with a toddler was a bit rough sometimes going up.

The Staff was excellent. Phillip helped us recover funds for a Douro River boat tour that got canceled while in transit to the tour due to safety issues with the dam. I'm assuming this occurred due to heavy amounts of rain. Gada helped us a lot too. The Staff thankfully helped us carry our luggage. Breakfast was good, very tasty, with adequate selections.

While the hotel is a 19th century, charming manor house, it was a challenge because of the many stairs and no elevator. Our room was on the third floor, so we had several sets of stairs from ground level up. My husband and I are a little older, with bad knees. The rain was a complete hindrance and kept us from seeing more things and getting more tours. Plus the location was not as close as we had hoped and due to heavy rain, we could not walk around as much and had to rely on Ubers. BTW-be leery of Ubers in Porto when traffic is heavy. They canceled us a few times and still tried to charge. I suggest visiting Portugal in September or during summer since October is the rainiest month.

All staff members are so friendly and helpful. Their breakfast are much more unique than other hotel (not typical continental breakfast). Especially Nichole(I hope I spell her name correctly) and breakfast crews are very kind to adjust my mother’s requests every morning! The building itself is gorgeous and historic! The room is spacious. We requested an extra bed in the apartment and that makes room much tighter but room service crews paid extra attention and adjust furnitures for us to make more room! We were impressed by that! My mother is visiting Europe very first time ever and she enjoyed every minute of staying at Menina Colina. We will stay there again for our next Porto trip! (We loved their garden for relaxing too)

The building was lovely and my room was nicely furnished. The bed was extremely comfortable. The breakfast was great and the staff was very attentive.

Not a huge deal as I am already aware of this when I booked the room, but it is important to remember that this is not like the typical hotel so there is no kettle or fridge in the room, and there is no daily room service. If you like that kind of things in a hotel then you may not enjoy this place. There is no elevator and the location, though walking distance to main attractions, is not that close. If you have mobility issue then you may find it a little uncomfortable.

The guesthouse was lovely and welcoming. The breakfast was simple yet exceptionally executed - great coffee, fresh squeezed juice, delicious eggs. The room was large and clean with good storage.

Not really a ding on the property since it is a historical building but the lack of elevator was a bit of an issue. I forgot that in Europe, unlike America, the ground floor is 0 so the 2nd floor is equivalent to the American 3rd. That trek up with luggage was a struggle.

The breakfast was great, the rooms were beautiful and unique. The view from our balcony was very nice. Our stay was very easy. The staff were quite helpful and able to answer any questions we had about the area.

The beds were typical for Europe, basic mattress that was kind of hard and somewhat uncomfortable. Unfortunately, the weather wasn't great for our entire trip and we couldn't take advantage of the courtyard area to sit and enjoy.

The hotel is a nice place to stay just out from the centre of Porto. The staff were very friendly and the breakfast (when it arrived) was very good. I would recommend it.

The organisation for delivering breakfast was often chaotic. Sometimes the wrong breakfast was served sometimes the breakfast ordered did not arrive. One time I received breakfast but my wife didn't, one time we waited 45 minutes for breakfast to arrive and were then asked 'What's missing?' - Answer 'the breakfasts!!!'. I would put this down to lack of staff and lack of organisation in the kitchen. Having said all that the staff corrected things that went wrong and the coffee, fruit drinks and food were all very nice.

Wonderful renovated home in central Porto. Friendly helpful staff. Rooms are beautiful, especially the garden facing ones but not all have air con which was the only downside if it’s very hot. Breakfasts were amazing- vegetarian food which was delicious. They have Fado performances every day in the early evening which we loved. Area is central and safe. We loved our stay.
