right in the center of old town, lovely, friendly and helpful staff

I feel sorry that I have to mention it because the staff is so courteous and I would book the hotel again...but considering that this review should be helpful for other travellers: the cleaning really needs a boost! mould in the bathroom, hair and dust and sticky stains all over etc. linens and towels seemed to be fine and fresh though

An excellent base for exploring Sarajevo. The hotel couldn’t be in a better location! Right on the edge of the old town, next to City Hall and the river. It was great to be able to drop things off in your room or have a quick rest without having to walk far. All the major sights are within walking distance. The hotel doesn’t look much from the outside but the coolness of reception after the heat of the streets is so welcoming. There is a pleasant reception area where tea, coffee, fruit and cookies are available free of charge all day. All of the reception staff were so friendly and helpful. The rooms are really nice with everything you need for a short stay. The beds are comfortable and the room has a lovely padded bench seat to relax on. Our windows opened onto the busy pedestrian street but we weren’t bothered by noise. There is a really popular restaurant right opposite open until 11pm but the windows keep out the noise well. It was great to be able to eat such good local food right across the street! The bathrooms are fine and were clean but the shower could do with scrubbing with some bleach and a toothbrush around the edges and the grout. We loved being able to walk everywhere - all the museums, churches, mosques and the cable car all very close. A fascinating city - an interesting mix of East and West. Great bakery - pekara Edin just across the road from the famous fountain at Baščašija - sells fantastic breakfast pastries and savoury items - perfect for breakfast and lunch. So many lovely restaurants all around the hotel and a bar just on the corner by City Hall. Parking available in an underground car park just 5 minutes walk away. Would definitely recommend staying here if visiting Sarajevo.

The bathroom needed some bleach around the shower and tiles. The pillows are useless! Otherwise everything was great!

incredible location in the heart of Old Town. walk out the door and you’re in the middle of the charm of it all. Staff were fantastic and made us Bosnian coffee several times upon request. of course, coffee machine, tea, and fresh fruit were available 24/7. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Absolutely recommend Hotel Old Sarajevo as an outstanding option. Will stay here again on future visits!

Ahmed at reception was the star of our stay. We booked very late, called, and he came out to meet us in our car and advised about the available parking options. Since Sarajevo is not the safest for street parking, we opted for a secure underground garage across the bridge. We were lucky to just fit in with our 2.5m tall car. It is very expensive though, 25EUR/day, but worth the peace of mind. Ahmed then took great care of us for the rest of our stay, recommended places to eat and we had a great conversation with him and another guest about Bosnia and its sad history and current situation. The hotel is conveniently located on the edge of the pedestrian old town, everything is very close and available. It is a very touristy area though. The wifi internet was available in the room and also breakfast lobby (ideal if you need to do some laptop work during the day). The speed was not enough for video calls but ok for voice calls and browsing. There is 4G coverage though so we used that for video calls.

The building is historic and protected so there is a limit to what type of facility it can offer. Space is scarce, our room (no1) was very tiny, large luggage would not fit at all and bathroom also extremely small. We could hear everything from the corridor /lobby but despite the hotel being full, it is only 8 rooms and did not feel busy so no noised bothered us too much.

Super clean, friendly and professional staff, well located for old Town and sarajevo attractions. Special thank you to the owner of the Hotel. He heard my conversation with the receptionist over getting an urgent Dental appointment. Phoned his Dentist, drove me to the surgery and took me to the receptionist, explained in Bosinia what the issue was. I was treated the same day. Thank you so much. I had a tooth extracted.. Still hurts!@

Excellent hotel, right in the heart of Baščaršija. The staff was incredibly friendly and provided excellent advice on the best places for food, shopping, and entertainment. Anyone staying here will experience genuine Bosnian hospitality from the heart. The room was beautifully arranged, clean, with a very nice bathroom. Breakfasts were suitable, but for a change, guests can easily enjoy an excellent burek from one of the good bakeries just a few steps away. The staff will advise you on your choice. I recommend it to everyone who wants to experience the vibe of the old town or take a walk around its nearby surroundings. I will definitely return, and this hotel will be my first choice.

Cleaning staff should regularly check for spider nets on the ceiling and corners. Otherwise, there are no other complaints.

The staff were all very friendly and hospitable. They helped me carry my luggage up the stairs and offered information about Sarajevo (where to eat what to try etc). The room is very cozy and looks well maintained. Location is very good, walking distance to everything.

Suggestion to have a curtain by the shower to prevent the water from flowing out. Otherwise, it can be quite slippery and the floor mat gets really wet which is not too ideal. Otherwise all is great, service triumphs these minor flaws, so I'll still give 10/10

Location was right in the food areas of Old Town, and a short drive from the train and bus stations. While it is in the pedestrian-only area, it is possible to be dropped off quite close to the hotel. Staff were very friendly and helpful, especially with arranging a shuttle to the airport. Facilities were all functional, there was plenty of room for the two of us, and the beds were very comfortable

The bathroom had some signs of mould but were very minor

A classic 10/10 accommodation for several reasons: it is located right on the edge of the old town, but without the large noise of the old town. The interior designer made an exceptional work: all the small details are just fine, even at the reception - traditional motifs with modern touch. With one word: tasteful. Parking was available in the next street (guarded) for a few EURs. The staff were friendly and spoke English fluently. Although this was not our first trip in Sarajevo, our host was able to gave us very good tips on places and restaurant to visit, which made our stay even more pleasant. The room was clean, AC device worked as expected. WIFI signal was strong enough in the entire hotel. The breakfast was above average, both its variety and quality were remarkable.

The lock of our room had some problem - the contactless entry card and the key also failed to open the door several times, however it can be fixed - I hope it has been done already. I cannot mention anything else, especially for this price.

they can reserve you parking place nearby, but you have to indicate if you are coming with a bigger car as those places can be very tiny. Luckily there is a big underground parking place in 5 minuted walking distance. I was expecting some typical bosnian for breakfast. :-) We were 3 of us in a room and the AC is directly blowing to the 3rd bed. We were lucky as we didn't need the AC, but you need to consider that.
