Ideal location, 5min walk from Manchester Picadilly train station, and situated on main roads (but I've never had any issues with disturbing noise from the trains or traffic) 5min taxi journey to / from O2 Apollo Manchester (not sure how long the walk would take, as I am currently unable to walk that distance, but I would guess 15mins) Always very friendly and helpful staff, eager to please and help. Clean, comfortable and sizeable rooms, with larger TV than most hotels provide (maybe 50"?) Windows running the length of the room, so you no chance of ever feeling boxed in. Plump pillows, comfortable mattresses and cosy duvets. Shampoo, conditioner, shower gel provided in shower and bath (although at 5'3" I struggled to reach the pump on the bottles in the shower), with personal soap and body lotion provided at the sink. Bath towels and hand towels provided. Tea, coffee and kettle in the room. Iron and ironing board, plus hairdryer in the room.

Nothing negative, as any minor issues were dealt with well. One of the two lifts was out of order about 1/2hr before check-out time (which has happened the majority of the times I've stayed at this hotel), which makes trying to leave a bit frustrating, as this is obviously a busy time. However, the staff always understands delays caused by this and doesn't penalise for returning key cards slightly late. The electricity in our room turned off about 10mins after arrival, turned back on again when the door was opened, but then turned off again after another approx. 10mins. Reported to reception, and a maintenance guy knocked at our door within minutes, and sorted the issue within 1min.

I spent Christmas at the Manchester Marriott Piccadilly, whilst visiting friends in the area. The hotel was the perfect base with the rail station and Metrolink a short walk away. The main city centre shops are close by too. I had breakfast on two occasions. The choice was adequate and the restaurant spacious. I also used the bar area and found the drinks reasonably priced. The room was large and comfortable. There were one or two furnishings that need attention, but generally, I was very pleased with the room. The price represented good value. The staff were all attentive and pleasant at all times. I would certainly return to the hotel when staying in the city in the future.

Great location near to Piccadilly station and city centre. Large room and bathroom with bath and shower. Fridge and kettle were useful. Reception staff were friendly. Large windows in the room with a good view of the city centre. Stored my bag all day after I checked out which was really useful.

The room felt cold and the heating unit did not heat all of the room even when turned up high. There was no desk in the room. The coffee table had bits of dried food on it, but these were very difficult to see due to the pattern on the table. The TV was perpendicular to how you lie on the bed, so it was uncomfortable to watch.

Literally a couple minutes walk to Piccadilly station, very simple and very literally straight walk up to the main centre in less than 15 mins. Room was very spacious and clean, same for the bathroom, I quite liked the separate bath and shower. There’s also counter by reception where you can buy some snacks like chocolate and noodles etc, which came in handy after coming back from a few drinks in the evening.

I think there were only 2 lifts in the building, on the day of check out unfortunately the other lift was out of service which made getting down from the 7th floor take a bit longer. I would’ve appreciated the tea and coffee station in the room to be better stocked but if you go down to reception to ask for more they will provide you with more.

We stayed for 1 night and didn’t use parking, gym or spa so can’t give a perfect score. However, this hotel was in a very convenient location just around the corner from the train station and a very short walk to the O2 Apollo for our event. We stayed in an executive king room with access to the M Club lounge which gave us a free breakfast and 24hrs snacks and drinks. There was soft drinks, Becks on tap, gin, vodka, red, white and rose wines, tea, coffee and light snacks. We found it was worth it and enjoyed using the lounge before we went out. It was a Monday night and it was well stocked and quite quiet. The room was large and very clean - the bathroom was the cleanest bathroom I’ve seen in a hotel in a very long time. I like a firm bed so found it very comfy. Very little noise considering we were on a main road and next to the railway line but we were on 8th flr which may have helped but we slept very well. Enjoyed the gnd flr bar and ate from the menu after our event and enjoyed what we ordered. Would definitely stay here again.

There isn’t anything we didn’t like - small hiccup when we checked but it was quickly sorted and the staff are very polite, friendly and helpful.

Very close to the centre of Manchester, about a 5-10 minute walk. Stayed here as we were going to a concert at the warehouse project (which is right behind the hotel and a very safe very short walk). The area this hotel was in felt safe and, despite it being so close to Piccadilly station, it was very quiet once inside and we had a very comfortable and peaceful nights sleep. The room was big and spacious and the heating was perfect and made the room very cosy. The bathroom was excellent with a massive light up mirror. I especially liked the toiletry products from ThisWorks which were so good.

Had no complaints, didn’t use the room service or restaurant/ bar so can’t comment on those.

We booked the double double room and it was clean , large TV and comfy beds. Mini fridge , tea & coffee in the room with shampoo /conditioner /body wash all attached to shower and bath walls . 7 min walk to Piccadilly train station and 15 min walk to city centre . Just be warned there’s building work ongoing in the hotel at present..was suprised to see 3 workmen walk outside our bedroom window one morning !!! Also smoke alarm went off at 2am but that was not the hotels fault & they apologies for the disruption. I would stay there again .

The construction workers walking outside our window one morning -there’s a ledge and we were on the 6th floor ..lucky for the builders we were dressed !! Smoke alarm going off at 2am -couldn’t get back to sleep but at least we know it works.

Great location for doing anything in Manchester, friendly helpful staff with clean and well apportioned rooms

Check in was not good on this stay, we were unable to check in before 3 as they had been full previous night and were asked to chill in bar, come 3 the queue was out the door so it took 2 hours to check in! This has never happened to us before when staying here. Staff were apologetic and did everything they could do even upgrading our room and giving us a late check out. Whilst we lost 2 hours of our time in Manchester and getting to the concert was tighter than we had planned can not fault the staff

Excellent location. Excellent breakfast. Lovely staff. 2 minute walk to the Piccadilly mainline station & tram stop. Onsite parking. Room was spacious. Huge TV. Beds were very comfortable. Air con / heating was manually adjusted & worked. Enormous windows & black out curtains.

Room service pizza took 50 minutes & was cold when it arrived. I suspect it had been sitting in the kitchen for quite some time before it was brought to the room. There are insufficient lifts (2 in total). On our second day, 1 lift was out of order meaning there was only 1 lift for the entire hotel.

The room decor was stunning, matched my style and was very cosy. The bathroom was big enough and had a good size shower. The room was spacious with coffee and tea amenities. The breakfast in the morning had plenty to choose from and the staff were very friendly.

When we checked in we had an option of floor 2 or 3, and we were given floor 2. However we weren't told about the scaffolding and workers walking passed the windows. We couldn't use the panoramic windows and kept the curtains closed for the stay and had workers knocking the other side of the windows for the majority of the mornings. However, I would stay here again despite this due to the luxury feel and cleanliness of the rooms.
