second stay here - the pool is great for the kids, the staff are lovely and the breakfast buffet is really excellent quality. Rooms are good size and comfortable beds and beddings. it would have been nice to have a bath, but otherwise couldn’t fault it.
The room service menu had changed since our last visit and there was not as much variety and not as many kid friendly options. even the kids items had an Asian fusion bent to them - eg the crumbed chicken came with tonkatsu sauce and sesame seeds and Japanese seasoning. so our kids wouldn’t eat it. the pizza was pretty average too, and $72 for a steak seems a overpriced even for room service.

We had a lovely time for our wedding anniversary, the room was spacious, the bed soft but supportive, the views spectacular. We enjoyed sitting and gazing out at the Adelaide hills, so relaxing. Every single staff member was friendly, kind and helpful in a very genuine way even though it was busy with sporting events going on in the city. The breakfast was great, my favourite being the bircher muesli, chia pudding with yoghurt & toppings of stewed fruits & almond sprinkles! With the days being very warm, we discarded the quilt, asked for a sheet and used the cotton blanket provided. A bottle of still water was provided and there's a refilling station on Level 10 where breakfast was served and the Luna bar and pool were all located. We also brought extra bottles of filtered water for tea and coffee. Adelaide tap water isn't great. Street noise was faintly heard occasionally, or a siren, but not disturbing. We slept very well, and overall our experience was very enjoyable. Perfect location for walking to Rundle Mall, the Botanic Gardens, numerous cafes, the Art gallery and more. Parking straight forward and easy, right next to the hotel, user friendly & accessible during our stay. Amalfi's restaurant next door was fantastic but you need to book!
Nothing much to say here. We didn't realise there was a water filling station until the last day, just would have been handy earlier.

The property was in a brilliant location, right near Rundle Mall and the Botanic Gardens. The whole building was well maintained and clean, the outdoor pool was really nice too, with views of both the city & mountains either side. The room itself was neat and modern, comfortable & good sized bed, and a great city view. The staff were also a pleasure to deal with and went above and beyond to meet any requests.

The location and accommodation were good, as well as breakfest
UPD - the extra charge was successfully refunded, thank you. I have changed my rate to excellent because you listen to the clients and go to meet their requests There was a problem with the booking. I booked a room with 2 beds but the day before check in I received a message that the hotel does not have a room with 2 beds and I have to pay extra for it. I didn't have time to look for another option, so I had to agree. I tried to discuss this with the staff on site but they said the only option was to pay extra for another (booked) bed. But it is not appropriate to deceive clients in this way. I would like to get my extra payment back. Thanks

Nice modern hotel with great facilities and friendly staff.
Thought we would have a few quite predinner drinks Saturday at the Luna 10 Bar on Level 10 at 5pm. In an area adjacent to the bar separated by a few pot plants, there was about a dozen screaming 8 year old (approx.) girls having a birthday party, playing chasings, etc. Now the kids were just been kids, so its not their fault.....BUT, who in management thought this was a good idea??? Crowne Plaza needs to work out what demographics they are targeting. If its kids parties...that's fine, but I will go somewhere else next time. I'm sure management will write back and say sorry they were suppose to finish at 5pm, if management do, they are missing the point, as we may have wanted a quite drink at 4pm, or 3pm. Its a 5 star Hotel, not a kids party venue!!

During breakfast, several tables remained uncleaned due to insufficient staff. As a result, it was challenging to find a clean table for use. For a four-star hotel, the gym lacked adequate heavy weights, with the heaviest dumbbell being only 10 kg. In my opinion, it would be more beneficial to replace some of the eight cardio machines with a barbell and a zone for heavier weights.

Breakfast was good although a little hectic navigating around everything. Koomo dining was great and the food lovely, service great. Location is great and very central to all things
I thought the check in procedure took way too long. Thinking by booking everything on line it would have been shorter. My friend dislikes feather pillows so there should be 2 options in rooms, there was a long hair in her bed and the throw pillow had stains on it. I think a top sheet should be on beds or at least an option during booking, some people get too hot at night. Cocktails in luna bar are way too pricey. $48 for two cocktails is over the top.

Room and staff were lovely. Room service was a little expensive, however, once the food arrived, I had changed my mind as it was a very generous portion and service was great.
I booked this hotel to access IHG points, only to realise after my stay that I was not eligible to receive them. I'll certainly take that into consideration next time I select a hotel. I would expect that by offering my IHG number at check in, I would receive points, even if not booked directly with the hotel. The Internet function worked on some of the treadmills in the gym but not others.

Staff were really lovely. Properly was modern and comfortable.
Breakfast this morning was a disaster. We waited for over 10 minutes in the lobby to be seated only to be told the buffet was closing in 5 minutes. It was extremely busy being a Sunday but there were tables on the balcony and along the bench to be seated. By the time we did get seated, there was barely any hot food left. Or bread. Or fruit. And no juice. Maybe you should make breakfast available until 10.30 or even 11am when the hotel is at capacity and provide more breakfast food to cater to everyone. Very disappointing when we were looking forward to a yummy big breakfast after our event the previous night.

strategic locatioon standing shower [unlike most hotels which have bath tubs]
The bed mattress should be firm and not soft - like orthopedic type. Remember there are guests who are elderly, and many may have back problems. Early check-in , if possible like arrival around 12 noon but before 3 pm, IF rooms are available. The charge for early check-in of A$60 is not welcoming. However, the Conceige service is great. It took our luggages, tagged and store them. It then delivered the luggages to the assigned room when we returned slightly before 3 pm. We did not expect such service. But it made our check-in forgot about the "early check-in" charge.
