the acIommodation was perfect with a hot tub and sauna to relax after all day travelling and hiking. Best for solo travellers as beds and bathroom are very clean too. The staffs help and guide you with everything you want to know about iceland. They also arrange some tours for you that no one else do like to Thorsmork and interiors of iceland. We also saw the aurora from the hot tub on terrace which makes the experience best. they have a restaurant and bar as well so its a complete package. the bunk beds were equipped with charging point and lights too.
It's just my bunk buddy who was snoring all night.

Luxury dormitory which we felt was better than an average hotel. Bathrooms and toilets were super clean. There was a good lounge area to relax. They had an open air hot tub with an amazing view of the farm lands. We also used the fully functional kitchen facility which they don’t advertise officially as it’s small. The staff is very friendly and helpful. They were very passionate about their work and hospitable, we felt at home. Highly recommended stay and the super jeep tours.
Probably they can consider not to charge for washing and dryer facility. (6 Euro each)

The best hostel I have ever stayed at! Really cool vibe - you can tell they put a lot of thought into the decor downstairs with the stage and lights and the swing chairs etc. Staff were friendly and helpful. The setting is beautiful, with paddocks of horses all around the property. I loved that there were curtains on the beds in the shared dorms - it helped keep the outside light out (Iceland is very bright at night in summer months!) and also added to the privacy. The rooftop sauna and hot tub were the best additions though. I could have stayed there all night! Would love to stay again some time.

When I first got to Midgard, I was told that they aim to make you feel at home when you stay with them, and that’s exactly how I felt at Midgard! The staff is fantastic and always ready to help you with any questions you have. The place is clean and you can tell they take pride in their lovely place. Don’t miss out on the amazing hot tub! I stayed in a mixed gender room and really appreciated the curtains on the beds that allowed for privacy after a long day of exploring. Will definitely be staying here again on my next trip to Iceland.

Extraordinary vibe, super friendly staff, the common space is very cozy and you can always buy a beer and plan for your next-day trip in a swing chair or beanbag. We stayed in a double room, the room was stylish and everything was spotlessly clean. The hot tub and sauna are free so we went there for two nights, chances to meet other travellers while waiting for the Northern lights. The kitchen was also a surprise and we didn't expect one, a supermarket was just 5mins from Midgard so we did some cooking, their restaurant looks popular though.

Perfect position to visit the highlands Amazing aestetichs in the building The lounge with sofas is beautiful for talking with friends and other guests The hot tub with a fantastic view on lands Possibility to cook in the kitchen and/or to buy food/breakfast at the restaurant/bar Lot of showers available Comfortable beds Clean places Super kind workers One of the best places in Iceland
I would have preferred a larger kitchen. I think that if there had been more people in the kitchen, the space would not have been enough for us to cook easily

The swings and comfy sofas in bar/reception. The hot tub on the roof! Decor was beautiful! Place looks amazing and everything is catered for, towels pillows etc.
Breakfast was awful. Very lacking in choice and horrendously overpriced. We have 4 children and although it's advertised as a family run business we felt watchful eyes on us in communal areas and the front of house guy didn't seem all that friendly after check in although he shuffled our rooms round to put us all together on check in which was nice. Space for the toilet was really lacking!

I‘m not a big fan of hostels and I try to avoid them when I can - but oh, boy. Midgard was one of our favorite stays this trip - the staff LOVE what they do and they believe in the midgard vision, and you can feel that. Everything is organized, built and styled with love, and it‘s obvious. The beds are comfortable and offer privacy, the hot tub has an amazing view and is great after a long day of hiking, and the breakfast is home made and delicious. The chill out area is cozy and the word „hygge“ comes to mind. We would have loved to stay another night had it not been completely full.

Loved the people from the reception, the location of the Base Camp was amazing, close to everything, shop nearby. Comfortable beds. We could eat breakfast outside and drink coffee and tea with a view which was pleasant (perfect for the aurora because it’s dark). In general we really liked it. Clean bathrooms, many showers, hair dryer and straightener. Restaurant at the lobby and a drink bar!
Too small kitchen closing at 10pm. Very hard to make dinner when 6 other people were trying to do the same 😅 too many people for one jacuzzi and one sauna, could not find another towel after having jacuzzi for a minute.

Excellent base camp and hostel. I planned on camping in Iceland. Wind destroyed my tent and needed accommodation. Great location to explore the highlands and southern Iceland. Bunks were very comfortable with curtains, with lots of bathroom space. The showers were clean and spacious. Breakfast was good. Complimentary coffee. Small (secret) kitchen. The hot tub was nice. The staff was helpful and friendly. I had a great stay. They put a lot of care and thought into their base camp. Great option.
