Very central for everything, restaurants, bars, bus stops just a two minute walk from rainbow street perfect location. Clean room extremely comfortable bed, although there was no reception you could request extra towels, coffee/tea via email, housekeeping were around until 4pm everyday and would help if you needed anything.

The hotel was in the heart of the city and the bars would stay open until 1am, you could hear people leaving the bars and talking loudly, it didn’t bother us all but it may bother light sleepers. Also room could get a bit too hot, but it is Iceland and better a bit hot than cold.

Fantastic location, spotlessly clean, music was load but your in city centre and they did supply us with earplugs

When we went for breakfast downstairs it’s run by a different company and they were moaning nobody tells them how many are coming for breakfast, therefore wasn’t much choice with cold meats and cheeses and no hot food at all. If we travel to Reykjavík again, we would stay here again but would eat breakfast elsewhere unless the 2 companies start communicating

Great location for city , easy to check in , no issues

Just a small thing , when you first check in and use access code ,you think it hasn't worked asdoor doesn't open , but enter code and then move over and stand in front of door as it works on motion sensor

Location was fantastic for Reykjavik, close to food, bars, attractions and I managed to get some nice sunset views from my window.

I didn't personally experience anything I didn't like so all good for me.

We loved this hotel for it's location and would stay here again, its just off one of the main high streets for shopping, bistros, Hallgrimskirkja cathedral and not far from the Harpa concert hall. We had a room on the top( 5th floor ) which was a good size, with a balcony and views of the cathedral although I imagine the lower floors don't have great views as it's very close to pubs on a side street, so we were lucky. The hotel is next door to a live music venue which we visited one night and had a great time singing along to classic rock tunes! We didn't notice too much noise during the night but maybe because we were on the top floor and perhaps the city isn't as busy between Christmas and new year. Hotel is a 5 minute walk from "bus stop 6" which was useful as we booked a few coach tours during our stay. The hotel doesn't have a reception and access is via touchscreen keypads at the front entrance and to the room itself which was easy and straightforward to use. The hotel room has under floor heating which kept it cosy and warm.

The bathroom would be better if it had a couple of hooks or an additional rail to hang up /dry towels.. as we try to avoid asking for fresh towels every day. The room wasn't great for reading as the ceiling light and bedside table lamp were a bit dull. But didn't matter to us that much as we were out and about mostly.

The central location was very close to where we needed to be. I liked the fact that it was staff less to a degree, we were emailed codes for front door/luggage room/apartments. The room was spacious with a lounge area too. Very nicely decorated and welcoming. They had a storage area, again with a code so great to drop your bags off and do some sight seeing. We were on the top floor and had a shared wrap around balcony which was great for seeing the views & northern lights. The bathroom had toiletries and handsoap already in, which was unexpected but a lovely extra touch. A small amount of tea/coffee/sugar and creamer was available which was also another nice touch.

There was a screwdriver left on the sofa and an empty plastic bag under the bed, not deal breakers but still. There was no way to check in early as the codes were electronic so you couldn't get into your room till 3pm. Not sure if the fridge was on as the drinks didn't seem to get any colder. The cups had no handles, not great if you're walking with a hot cup of tea/coffee.

This Hotel is extremely comfortable and clean and well maintained, and the rooms are very stylish and have a very modern feel and design. The Hotel itself is very well situated in downtown Rejavik, it's close to all the bars and restaurants and all the shops you will need during your stay and for us attending the Harpa concert hall the ideal location to use as a base. We noticed other reviews mention noise from bar and issues with entry to room via the code system in place. We personally didn't have any issues, and our room was quiet . Yes, the code entry system was tricky at first, but once you are used to entering the code, it was very easy to navigate I actually like the idea as for me I often misplace keys etc and not having to worry about a room key was ideal. An added bonus is the room has a coffee machine A nice little touch

There was not anything we didn't like, but like most things in life there is always room for improvement more coffee pods perhaps or more sugar would probably been our only gripe

The location was perfect. Right down town with easy access to the pedestrianized area. At the hotel was not manned it was good that there was a telephone by the entrance to contact a person when we had any requirements

That we had to go to another hotel for breakfast. Despite only being a few minutes walk it would have been nice to have the breakfast at Midtown Hotel. The selection at the breakfast bar could have been better and also better organized. Staff training is required. We had an issue the last evening [Friday] with four young guys roaming around making noise and kicking the doors. We are not sure how they got in or if they were actual guests. As there is no staff at the hotel the police had to be notified. Everything did calm down.

Clean, comfortable, the rooms have a really modern feel. You have everything you might need, and the coffee machine is a nice touch, plus if you need any more coffee, sugar, creamer, or things for the room they keep an extra supplies closet in the luggage room. I like how big the windows are, has a lot of natural light. Location wise you couldn’t get any better, it’s right in the centre. They offer early check in for 45€.

The room was smaller than what the picture shows and there was construction noise at 9:30 am (probably from the restaurant beside the hotel, it’s all the same building). Talking to staff over the phone is frustrating, you can never hear them good enough, it seems like they are in a crowded room.

The ease of getting into the property for check-in and the check-out process. Fairly seamless. The room was ready when they said it would be ready. Clean, spacious, and comfortable. The location is EXCELLENT - right in the heart of things and within easy walking distance of almost everything you'd want to see. Felt that it was a very good value. I really liked that they had an option for a room with 3 beds.

The main entry door was broken. Would have been nice to get a text notification about this. It was broken in a way that made it appear that the entry code did not work. We were messing with it for a few minutes before another guest told us that it was not working and to just push it (hard) open. Our room was right above a book store that has live music every night. We happened to enjoy the bands and I think they stopped by 10 or 11p, but I can see how others might have found that annoying. Not sure if every room would have had the same experience, but it would have been more than a few for sure.
