The staff was very nice. People who stay here are very diverse and amazing. Made a lot of new friends.

- Girls room/floor is not girls-only. The men use the bathroom. Plus the male staff can enter the room at any time for checking in other people or for cleaning. - Bathrooms are sometimes very dirty at night especially. This one time someone had pissed all over the toilet seat and it was only cleaned the next morning. - Pillows and mattress are okay. Not super comfortable. - There is no staff from 7pm till the next morning at 10am. If someone is checking in late or is locked out of their room, the people staying there have to help out. People randomly knock on the main door and ask to be let in because they have a booking, and then you have to tell them everything about drinking water, bathrooms, which floor, which room, when to do the laundry, etc.

The host was excellent, caring and friendly. He helps with directions for the local attractions. The facility comfortable is and clean. bathroom and showers are very clean. 8 mins walk to the most popular bukit bintang pavilion stop where you can take MRT to anywhere.

none ***** on another note. I booked Travelogue Guest House originally. but when I arrived, the host tried wiggle out of my booking saying a single woman can’t stay in mixed dorm unless there are two, that’s Malaysia’s law and tried to sell me 3x more single room. I said no. He asked me to leave. I had to quickly book another hostel freedom club which this one I stayed) I would like to share my bad bad bad experience at the other hostel at Travelogue Guest House since they cancelled my reservation. I dint get to write a review on them.

Everything about Freedom club was great. I reached a couple of hours before check in and Kooh gave me all the information I needed, and showed me around the place. He was very hospitable. The rooms and all common spaces are very clean, and routinely cleaned. The bathrooms and toilets too are clean. It is located close enough to Bukit Bintang, but away from all the noise. I had a flight late the day I was leaving but could also use facilities after checking out. Would definitely recommend this hostel.

Nothing.

Location was great, nice stuff, clean, new rooms, good atmosphere, nice for a female solo traveler.

For such a price I would expect more For example, they could include a simple breakfast in the price. Or at least, put a good bean coffee in the kitchen, not an instant one :)

The location of this hostel is fantastic. It is super close to the bustling area of Bukit Bintang which has an amazing food market every night. The owner of the hostel is such a friendly, helpful, polite and cool guy. He walks you through the hostel and explains everything about it without rush. There was a major 40 hour water outage in a huge portion of Kuala Lumpur and they were doing everything possible to keep giant water buckets filled for toilets and old school showers! Thanks guys! Free drinking water, coffee and tea are provided along with soap in the showers. The rooftop terrace is underrated and should be promoted more, it was always empty but a cool spot to hang out. Plenty of comfortable benches to hang out in the hallways and get some work done if needed.

It’s a bit on the pricier side for a hostel but the facilities are good. 6 bed dorm is quite tight, really only made for sleeping.

I really liked this place. I was planning to stay 3 nights but ended up staying 2 weeks! The owner is so amazing & friendly, one of the nicest people I’ve ever met honestly. He is always happy and will help you with anything. Beds are super comfy with a good curtain for privacy. It is very clean, the staff is always sweeping the floors & dusting etc. The shared showers are also good, clean & nice water pressure! And lastly, the location is very central in Bukit Bintang! Will be back if I am ever in KL again!

The only thing I didn’t like was right outside the hostel - it is a bit hard to find & the area is a bit sketchy with some trash & wierd smells. But you get used to it!

Thank you for the hospitality. Close to Jalan Alor Food Street and The Exchange TRX Mall. Walkable distance from Pasar Jalan Petaling (20-25 mins). Wifi connection is stable. It provides washing/drying service at a reasonable price. The man in charge was so helpful and offered me every solutions to my questions. Thanks again! 老闆親切友善,人很好。離許多景點很近。

We have to climb up some narrow stairs to check in, so carrying heavy luggage might be a bit of a challenge.

The 10 bed room was decently sized. Mattress was pretty comfortable. Curtain was nice. AC was kept cold in the rooms which I like. (I think even during the day). Location is good, walking distance to Bintang hill and the tourist stuff there. The rooftop is a great little bonus with a hammock! And nice little kitchen area. Late check in was pretty easy and they sent detailed instructions which was useful otherwise I may have missed the yellow building as there is no sign!

I didn’t like that the bathroom had a little dirty / gritty sandy floors. It’s a cool concrete style but the “tarmac”? floor in the showers / toilets are crumbly and stick to your feet. There are other slippers there but I wasn’t sure if they were for public use or some peoples there but I often used them anyway (sorry) out of necessity, cos I like going to bed with clean feet. (But I do recognise this is a minor issue) Oh also putting a more obvious sign out front would make the hostel easier to find (but once you know to look for a yellow building it’s easy, so thankfully they send detailed instructions.)

Well located, within walking distance of a station and a popular tourist area. The 10 bed room was well sized. Comfortable beds and the AC was kept at a cool temperature which I appreciated (especially considering they give pretty thick blankets). And the rooftop with a hammock is a cool addition. Also the check in instructions were detailed and helpful.

My only grievance is that the bathroom has a bit of a sandy / stoney floor. There are flip flop / slippers there which you can use but I wasn’t sure if they were meant for anyone or someone had left them there. And the shower systems were a bit weird.

The owner is so friendly and I felt comfortable enough to deal with. The price? Definitely worth every penny because it’s so comfortable, they provided you blankets and even asked if you needed towels or not, so don’t worry if you forgot to bring it. The surrounding is good too! Aesthetics vibes! Got two toilets and two bathrooms (even got heater lurve lurve). They also provided food, snacks and drinks (if available at the pantry) so you can do your own drinks and eat it. Also got service for laundry, and girls who want to iron your scarves, no worries because they also got iron outside the room. Overall, I love it so much and somehow it reminds me of good old days during high school with the double decker bed (but this one premium la got aircond 🤣) For sure, I will repeat again with my friends for the next trip! And also the place is near with TRX. Just took around 10 mins walking and you will reach TRX!! 5 STARS!!!
