Lovely place, homey feeling in the heart of a lovely neighbourhood in Funchal. And above all, a really friendly staff, always up for a chat!

Maybe bad research on our side but good for the next ones. It's quite high up the hill and the hike from downtown will tear your muscles :) So great with a rental car otherwise count a few euros to get back with taxis :)

Great value for money in a residential part of Funchal, Lovely swimming pool, gardens and outlook, very clean with a large comfortable bed and a very usable kitchenette.There is a bar were you can buy snack’s onsite. There is a large school behind the apartments but we found there was very little noise when we stayed there.

There is not many places to eat out around the apartments apart from bars and coffee shops, it is a very steep walk up from Funchal seafront though there is a lot of buses that will take you up and you can use Bolt to find taxis. We had to walk to the cable car to pick up our East and West tours in the morning but the Lavada tour picked us up from the appartment

We loved the pool, large balcony and view.

The rusty and chipped enamel bath and blackened shower head. Pretty sure the owner of the apartments wouldn’t accept a bathroom in that condition. Just glad we didn’t have to actually use the bath. Also the incessant dog barking at night is not acceptable. We live in Portugal and know that dogs barking is “a thing” but there are also laws against noise between the hours of 11pm and 7am (I think) we have had to involve the authorities in a dog barking situation. We are dog lovers and find the barking disturbing and upsetting as the dog must be distressed to keep on barking. Finally we received a leaflet saying that our room got cleaned every other day. We arrived on Friday and on Sunday our bins got emptied and the towels changed. Can only guess that’s what “cleaning” means!

beautiful location, exceptional views. ( up a very steep hill so you’ll need a taxi home). The swimming pool was lovely, always a time that we could have it all to ourselves

I can’t fault it, if you’re wanting swanky then that comes with a swanky price tag.

Large 1 bedroom apartment, the kitchenette is small and basic but the bedroom, living space and bathroom are all large. Plus it has a large balcony with a fantastic view over the city and sea. The pool is lovely, with plenty of sun beds and cushions for these, towels provided too

The location is walkable to town but (as with most of Funchal) the roads are very steep with no pavements in parts, so care is required. Unless you're very fit it's really not walkable back up- there is a solution as a bus goes from town to next to the apartments.

The balcony view just superb! Loved it at all times! Pool was very clean and maintained well, even the cold water was just great! What a luxury to start your day with few strokes in the cold water, just perfect. Also the location was so quiet and peaceful, absolutely relaxing place. As I was firstly a bit uneasy with such near location from old town centre and main centre. But it did exceed my expectation! Would love to be back, indeed.

One thing that really surprised me was these steep hills everywhere in Madeira! LOL Quite challenging to walk them up...though very good exercise! I can see that all local people must be really fit and healthy.

The view over the city and ocean, (but steepy roads if go to the center). But waking up in the morning we could listen to beautiful birds song. The athmosphere is great, the pool, spacy apartement room, well equiepped. We choose the breakfast basquet every morning, it was so lovely to start the day like this. The personal was very helpful.

Very little to mislike - luckely we had good neighbours - without nosie and loud chatting. The garden personal can thoug send out a message if they start bigger renovations. Then we choose orher options than the pool that day.

We absolutely loved our stay. The pool and facilities on site were a huge plus, you felt like you were in your own little paradise! The staff were super helpful, I couldn’t praise them enough for helping us check in and organise a rental car! The apartment was super clean and the cleaners came each day. The facilities were also great for cooking and storing food. I’d recommend this place if you don’t mind walking some hills or are renting a car!

Nothing

Everything was great. Check-in was welcoming and professional, room was lovely and very clean. Beds were comfortable and we really enjoyed the pool and Club cafe/bar. All the staff were great and friendly, from the cleaning staff up to the two lady working owners who were always happy to answer your questions.

We were aware that a refurbishment is due in the room that we used, as the kitchen units are deteriorating and some paint in need of renewal, but this did spoil a great stay and holiday.

If I could, I would put 20 stars! Everything was perfect: stunning view, comfortable apartment with everything you need, helpful and friendly staff, clean and well-kept territory, room cleaning, nice swimming pool. A lady from reception helped with car renting, it was very convenient to get it directly to the hotel and return there. Private parking had places all the time. It was really comfortable to stay here, seemed like you are a welcome guest but nobody bother you. Absolutely can recommend and hopefully will come back one day!
